Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year Grin

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

Hoping to find some pals in a similar place at the moment on here!

@Positivity2019, I can sympathise I was sure I was going to go mad last week. The tww is hard!! @Wakemeupwithcoffee, I had a bit of bloody cm when wiping earlier too. AFs a bit early for me but I have plans for tomorrow evening, so of course shes early!! If I was you I would defo test again tomorrow. Good luck!

AlmostAlwyn · 19/08/2019 08:02

I would definitely do another test, @Wakemeupwithcoffee. Fingers crossed and keep us posted! :)

After saying my DH was on board with the ovulation chat, he wasn't that keen to DTD yesterday but he managed Grin.

Now to wait! Brew

Ellsbells112 · 19/08/2019 11:31

Hey guys! I've been reading your comments, the wait is so frustrating! I'm currently 6 days late for my period, I did a pregnancy test 3 days prior to being due on and it was BFN BUT I am soooo hopeful that it was too early as I'm still not on and getting little telltale signs! I don't feel like I'm going to come on, had stretchy pains and metallic taste in mouth. Fingers 🤞 to you all x

Bettyblue1 · 19/08/2019 13:46

Well ladies, my AF has arrived. I might just get very drunk on my night out tonight. @AlmostAlwyn, I'm glad I'm at the end of my tww hopefully yours goes in quickly for you! @Ellsbells112 sounds really promising are you gonna test again?
On another note, I really struggled with this tww I did actually feel like I was gonna go crazy. I think I might make a cycle diary this time round. To keep track of my symptons and also think it might help to be able to write down how I'm feeling during the tww.

Han1213 · 19/08/2019 14:12

Wow! Lots going on. Good luck to those of you with BFPs and sorry to those of you without. Still no period here but I’ve gad some bleeding that the dr thinks is due to a burst ovarian cyst! Been in a lot of pain this weekend so hoping that clears off soon! X

Missdrifter · 19/08/2019 17:40

Hi ladies, can I join in too please?I am 33 and ttc our first, currently on day 4 of cycle 3. Usually have 29/30 day cycles but since taking the seven seas supplements I had two 33/34 day cycles which was really annoying because I convinced myself I was pregnant both times.its my first time on one of these forums so just trying to learn all the abbreviations. Good luck to everybody x

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 19/08/2019 17:54

Hi newbies and welcome. I am wondering if the vitamins are affecting me too. My cycle is usually about 25 but it’s been a bit variable recently and I did have a 30 day cycle recently. Well my period has not turned up yet, I can’t believe it! I’m Day 29 today. I don’t feel pregnant at all though. By due date I was feeling totally nauseous with number 1 and 2. I have bought another test but not done it yet think I’m feeling too scared to 🙈 I’m having a total wobble to be honest is this the right thing to do (TTC). I stupidly read an article about the cons of having a baby at 40 (I would be 39) and it was so depressing (you may not see your grandchildren grow up, you need to prepare your children that you may die when they are relatively young etc)!!! I have freaked myself out. I don’t know if I am pushing my luck for one more when I have a wonderful family!

@Bettyblue1 sorry to hear about AF
@Han1213 sorry about the burst cyst that doesn’t sound nice 😞

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 19/08/2019 18:29

I’ve just googled about pregnacare (which is what I’ve been taking) and loads of people saying they delayed their periods and messed their cycles up!! I’m convinced that’s what caused my variable cycles and the 30 day one as that hasn’t happened before (so long) until I started taking those.

Wearenotyourkind · 19/08/2019 18:51

Welcome @Missdrifter and @Ellsbells112 join the gang :)

Ellsbells112 · 19/08/2019 19:02

@Bettyblue1 ah sorry to hear that! Reset for the next cycle and good idea about the diary, I was late a few months ago and literally convinced myself I was, horrible to find out I wasn't and felt stupid I convinced my partner I was Lol.Good luck for next month x
I lost my patience and tested this morning with clear blue but nothing. This has happened to me before though with other pregnancy it takes a while to come up for me. I'm getting like stretchy cramps not really period like if that makes sense and lower back aches so hopefully!!

Ellsbells112 · 19/08/2019 19:03

@wearenotyourkind thank you 🤗

Mim21 · 19/08/2019 19:57

For those talking about pregnacare i'd also read the same things, so i decided to go for the seven seas ones instead. I'd not had any experience with them personally however, and I've known friends take them and not have a problem.

I've just bought some early detection kits in the airport to try tomorrow, it might end in tears but if i can't dream on my first round when can i Wink

Positivity2019 · 19/08/2019 20:35

@Wakemeupwithcoffee yea my period was 12 days late but it was my first proper cycle after coming off the pill so I presume things were still getting regulated. I tested at a day late, then I tested 6 days later then I caved and tested two days after that. All negative and it was so frustrating not knowing what was going or how long the wait would be. I then had an ultrasound scan at the hospital for UTI’s that I keep getting and no bambino. After the scan my AF arrived the next day. So I totally get how you feel with the waiting. After that third negative test I decided I needed to just wait for AF and test weekly in the meantime. I figured I’d either get a BFP or a period eventually. So definitely do a test I say if you haven’t already.

Talking about the vitamins, I use the seven seas trying to conceive and I wondered if that had contributed to that longer cycle I had. I’ve read a few people finding that.

@Ellsbells112 good luck with another test if you do one, sounds like some positive signs.
@Bettyblue1 hope you have a great night out!!! That sounds like a good idea to keep a diary. Like you said the TWW is so hard but we can support each other.

Missdrifter · 19/08/2019 20:35

Mim21 will keep my fingers crossed for you. I am trying to track ovulation on the Flo app which is pretty good as you can log in symptoms etc but because the tablets have made my cycles longer I think I have ended up missing ovulation day on the last two cycles. Has anyone tried the sticks? If so do you recommend them?

Positivity2019 · 19/08/2019 21:22

@Wakemeupwithcoffee I’ve just reread the post about your wobble. It’s such a hard and emotional time this TTC lark and you absolutely will be over the moon when you finally get your BFP. My auntie had all her children late, she was 37, 42 and 44 with her three. So much conflicting info out there about people struggling later in life and people managing fine. Try not to lose hope, we are on this journey together and are here to support each other. I’ve read a lot of things about the vitamins messing up people’s cycles so there may be something in that. Positive vibes!!!

Missdrifter · 19/08/2019 21:49

@Wakemeupwithcoffee my brother in law and his wife are going to start trying for their first towards the end of this year after their honeymoon and she will be 38 in January. They live in Hong kong and aren’t worried at all about age, I think a lot of their friends there are in similar situations. However, I am certainly guilty for googling EVERYTHING which just sends my mind in to over drive, so I can understand the wobble!

Absa · 20/08/2019 06:20

AF was an unwelcome surprise this morning :( So looks like I'm out again this round! 🤞 for cycle 3 in September!

Wearenotyourkind · 20/08/2019 07:19

Sorry to hear this @Absa ☹️ here's to next month 👍🏻

Mim21 · 20/08/2019 07:27

Sorry to hear about the arrival of AF Absa. Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone. 💕

Turns out I wasn't imagining all my twinges and look like i have a positive, I can't believe it! Just hoping it sticks and all is well since I tested early, I think I'm 13 DPO. I'm getting noticeable but mild cramping on my left side intermittently, the same side i ovulated.

Mim21 · 20/08/2019 07:29

Sorry posted the previous too soon, this is this mornings test, also took one last night with a fainter line x

Anyone starting their TTC journey in July 2019?
Missdrifter · 20/08/2019 07:52

@Absa sorry to hear of arrival of AF! We are on cycle 3 together. I am coming to end of my period so think this month I am going to try the sticks etc! Fingers crossed it’s 3rd time lucky for us.

@Mim21 what fantastic news. You must be thrilled 😊

Nicecupofcoco · 20/08/2019 08:04

Hi can I join!
Already have ds, partner and I have discussed ttc dc2, the plan was to begin later this year, but had abit of a slip up this month, and I've been having faint positives since 8dpo, we were really shocked but excited, and now a few days on I've started bleeding so I'm thinking chemical! Though I will test again after bleeding has stopped to be sure, but I'm fairly certain!
It's a shame but has made us realise we don't want to put of ttc dc2, so we are hoping to begin next month!
Baby dust to all!

AlmostAlwyn · 20/08/2019 08:18

@Mim21 there are so many tests, looking at your picture I was thinking, "that doesn't look positive to me. I can't see the cross line at all!" despite the instructions being right there Grin No wonder clear blue tests with "pregnant" and "not pregnant" are so popular! Congratulations anyway! Flowers

Mim21 · 20/08/2019 08:42

Thanks guys, we're very happy! We've had a lot of friends struggle with their ttc journey. I used conceive plus (the little ones in the separate tubes and just popped half a tube 'up there' just before DTD as I figured it couldn't hurt to try it). I got them off amazon, worth a try!

Missdrifter · 20/08/2019 09:01

Have just placed an amazon order 😁 it’s worth a try! X
