Louise190 · 08/07/2019 11:51

I couldn't find an August Bus so thought I'd set one up! AF got me this morning ☹️

Age 28
CD1
Cycle 5
TTC 1

Have tried temping and testing, relaxed it all a fair bit last cycle due to my temporary insanity!

I'm going to hop on too.....I'm on cycle day 8 but I've been spotting ever since the end of AF! AF is due 25th of July but my last cycle was 54 days long which puts me at AF/BFP: 24th August!

I think I need to start ov tracking to make sure if I'm actually ovulating!

MissAi · 08/07/2019 12:42

I'll join. I'm only on CD25 but I can feel AF coming. Sad

I'm 29
TTC 1
Cycle 5 or 6 (trying not to count, it stresses me out 😂)

Louise190 · 08/07/2019 12:42

Hi @NLouise123 welcome! Oh how weird, how was AF? Unusual at all? That is a very long cycle! I take my hat off to you!

I've ordered a clear blue digital for this cycle. I've tried the one step OPKs and I never get an actual positive, just very close, so hopefully CB will clear it up for me!

OP posts:
Louise190 · 08/07/2019 12:46

Hi @MissAi I've got my fingers crossed for you still, you're not out until AF arrives! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I know what you mean about not counting! I had this fairy tale expectation where we would fall pregnant almost instantly! With each cycle I am more and more baffled!

OP posts:
MissAi · 08/07/2019 12:57

@Louise190 thank you!

Yep, me too. I thought I would be pregnant by now. I know it can take up to a year but it's just so frustrating!

Louise190 · 08/07/2019 13:01

@MissAi I think I struggle with the idea it could take that long because so many people accidentally fall pregnant! I'm sat here like "helloooo! I actually want to be pregnant!?!" 🙈🙈😂

Skyla01 · 08/07/2019 13:02

Hi I'll join! Was waiting for the August bus with my long cycles!
Age- 32
TTC no.1
Cycle 3
CD 10
AF/ bfp due 12th August

My last cycle was 44 days but hoping they'll keep getting shorter. @Louise190 I'm also trying clearblue digital advanced this cycle. Hope it works as it was expensive! Not due to ovulate until cd30 but going to start using opk from this weekend.
@NLouise123 long cycles are annoying! What cycle are you on? I'm only on 3 after stopping the pill hence hoping they'll keep getting shorter.

Louise190 · 08/07/2019 13:25

Hi @Skyla01! Thought I'd get one going as I find CD1 to be my lowest point where I need all the support I can get! 🙈
I've ordered the pack with 20 tests just in case! It was super expensive in comparison to the Onesteps, hopefully it's worth it! I've ordered a fresh pack of vitamins too!

Toying with the idea of temping again but that means waking up at 6am every day and I can never get back to sleep on a weekend!

OP posts:
Skyla01 · 08/07/2019 19:07

@Louise190 I went for the 20 too! I went a bit nuts last cycle with not knowing when ovulation was happening so hoping for better clarity this time round. I definitely don't fancy getting up at 6am to take temp! I take cheap multivits from boots & folic acid. Not sure if the multivits do much but a pack was only £2. Hope August is our month! I probably won't ovulate for a while yet but going to start DTD every 3 days. I like to feel proactive!

Louise190 · 08/07/2019 21:54

Did you use the clear blue last cycle? No, that's what's putting me off right now, I think a lack of sleep makes me lose all sanity so temping encourages the crazy! 🙈 I've ordered the pregnacare this month because there was a deal on the his and hers. I checked the nutritional values and they have more of the good stuff than the Tesco ones I was using so figured it's got to be worth a shot! Fingers crossed for August 🤞🏻🤞🏻

tiredmoma · 08/07/2019 22:28

Im hopping on too!!

Age 25
TTC #2
Cycle 2
CD 1
AF/BFP not too sure as this month i was late so if i go back to 28 day cycle then 8th Aug

Skyla01 · 09/07/2019 08:00

@Louise190 nope this is my first month trying opk. I think if I had a more regular/ short cycle I wouldn't bother with them. But not there yet. Hope we can concentrate DTD efforts a bit better- last cycle was a bit of a marathon! It's s shame you couldn't get cheapie ones to work for you, hope cb is better.

Sleepyhead11 · 09/07/2019 08:57

Hello, just hopping on if that's OK. Feeling a bit wallowy and self pitying this morning but will get over it.

Cycle six, and I didn't think when I jumped on March bus I'd still be here in August. Got to pull myself together though. Do says we'll try more this month, and I might try eating super healthily too. What is everyone else doing?

@Louise190 relaxing is good. I tried that last cycle and managed until final three days, when I went nuts again. I know exactly what you and @missAI mean about the fairytale expectation, and every month it's so dashing. I find myself furious at people who find it easy, though this is totally irrational.

I am TTC #1 and next AF due 5th - 7th Aug, not sure of it exact date as cycle varies between 27 and 29.

Have a big work project this month, so will try to give that all my focus, and just have lots of sex.

embaby · 09/07/2019 09:10

Hello!

I'm 29
TTC #2
Ov due 19th July
Af due 3rd August
Cycle #3

FutureMrsD · 09/07/2019 09:20

Hellloooo lovelies.
Not hopped on a bus yet, but I’ll join you!
26
TTC 1
CD 27 (but I do have irregular cycles and pretty sure I am 17 dpo judging by OPKS, have taken countless tests, all negative, so I’m out)
TTC since Jan, but this will by my 6th cycle

After a wobbly week last week, convincing myself I must have been pregnant and having pissed on about 20 quid, I am ruling myself out and feeling positive for next month. Going to temp to try and pin point ovulation but at the same time just gonna try and be more relaxed.
We are going to a festival and to Italy end of August so I will focus most of my energy into that. (However I have dreamed of telling DH I am pregnant in Italy stop putting pressure on yourself.. idiot! )

Luck and baby dust to all ❤️

Louise190 · 09/07/2019 10:50

@Skyla01 I struggle detecting CM and can get around 3 days of cramps around predicted OV so hoping for some clarity.

Welcome all!

@Sleepyhead11 I know exactly what you mean. I am very wallowy at the moment. Not helped by AF I'm sure! I've got CB digital on the way. I did temp a couple cycles back but I found the interrupted sleep on a weekend was driving me insane! I've joined a gym and trying to eat healthily but food is my comfort! 🙈 irrational but understandable, I think.

@FutureMrsD "pissed on about 20 quid" 😂😂 it certainly feels like we are literally pissing money away, doesn't it! How long are your cycles normally? Fingers crossed for you!

OP posts:
FutureMrsD · 09/07/2019 11:01

@Louise190 After coming off the pill in Jan, I have had 27, 51, 50 and 34 days. Currently on CD 27 so hopefully (if not pg) AF will come soon so I can focus on next month! X

Louise190 · 09/07/2019 11:09

@FutureMrsD oh wow! I bet that drove you mad! I'd have lost my mind. I had the implant removed last summer and have been 26/27 days each cycle. But I still lose my head every month!

OP posts:
Sleepyhead11 · 09/07/2019 11:33

@FuturemrsD that is so similar to what I did. Was one day late and convinced myself this must be it, my fairytale. Pissed on two expensive sticks last night (flooded the first one like a Muppet) and of Course AF here this morning. Trying to see AF as a good thing because it's the first day of a clean new cycle. A fresh page.

@Louise190 it's horrible isn't it? When is AF due? Think I might get clear blues too. Avoided opks before this month but going to buy clear blue too. It's a lot of money though.

Getting hair done this morning. Also expensive but nice. Making next appointment for twelve weeks time, and hoping so hard that things are different then. My hairdresser just told me she's pregnant. It's lovely, but I am filled with envy.

Louise190 · 09/07/2019 11:54

@Sleepyhead11 AF is currently is full swing now. Next AF due 03/08. I got my CB Digi on eBay, £27 for the 20 tests one which is a lot better than anywhere else.

Oh not what you want to hear on CD1! Get a gossip mag, sink in to that and enjoy being pampered!

Our time will come!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

OP posts:
FutureMrsD · 09/07/2019 12:03

@Sleepyhead11 ohhh I feel you, the envy can be real!! Even though you feel like a horrible person.
My best friend recently announced she was having a little girl and a literally withdrew myself from the world for a couple days.
Bit OTT? Probably so, but jealousy is a strange emotion.

@Louise190 ohh yes it does drive you mad! Hoping I’m not in for another long wait this time, they did seem to be getting shorter: And that’s real cheap! scurries off to ebay

Louise190 · 09/07/2019 12:36

@FutureMrsD hoping this link works

Hi, I’m hoping it’s ok to join?!

Age- 32
TTC (trying to conceive) no. 2
Cycle 4
CD (cycle day) 1
AF/ BFP (big fat positive) due 13th August

My cycles are 36 days long so feels like I now have ages to wait to try again.

Feeling pretty down today x

tiredmoma · 09/07/2019 18:41

I found (when ttc #1) the cb opks didnt work for me only showed peak and not high but i found the cheapies better but hope they work for you all and its totally normal to envy pregnant people!! (I really envy those that have 'accidents'!)

Louise190 · 09/07/2019 19:05

Welcome @June1987 I'm sorry you're feeling down. Make sure you've got plenty of outlets for times like these. I'm feeling pretty rough myself at the moment; AF really kicks my ass, as if it's not bad enough she's arrived! Sending lots of love your way

@tiredmoma I have never actually got a proper positive with the cheapies, only got to a certain level "nearly positive" and then it would start fading!
