TWW buddies 1DPO today

Hey, I thought I'd start a new group for TWW as I'm just 1DPO and I felt like I was a bit late to jump on the other TWW groups

TTC #1
1DPO
Age 29
Cycle #3 of TTC
Cycle length 27-30 days (usually bang on 28 though)
CD 15
BFP/AF due 2-3rd June

I actually managed to pin point my LH surge this month with opks, I used one step and CB digits and got a solid smiley on CD 13 and then my bbt temp spike this morning putting O day at some point yesterday. Me and DH DTD CD 6, 8, 12, 13 and 15 so hope that we're in with a good chance this month.

Anyone welcome to join me for the dreaded TWW to symptom spot and try and convince each other not to test too early 🙈

@Namechangeymcnamechange11 I'm not an expert on FRERs but I think it depends on when you implanted. So they say they can detect hcg levels 6 days before your missed period but if you don't implant until say 10dpo then I'd say it wouldn't pick anything up till AF due? I don't know....this is what I keep telling myself as my FRER was negative yesterday at 10/11dpo

@Bezalelle boo! But you've still got time till AF. Do you think you've got any strange symptoms?

@Hayd88 - I have loads of symptoms, which is really confusing. Surely I would have some HGC in my blood if I were pregnant; so if not, what explains the:

• aversion to tea (I usually drink at least 6 cups a day)

-nausea daily since ovulation -tiredness -lower back ache -mood swings since ovulation -bloated belly for the past week -weird mucus-y taste in mouth -high cervix (yep, I tried to feel it!

I think there must be something wrong with me if I'm not pregnant. Maybe these are symptoms of something else or maybe it's just psychosomatic.

Ugh. I promised myself I wouldn't get all fixated on TTC. It's all-consuming though. I want a baby so much.

@Namechangeymcnamechange11 I'd hold off on testing for as long as you can. I know people who've had BFP at 10dpo but everyone is different and really depends on implantation.

@Bezalelle sorry about your BFN's wait until after AF due to test again. AF is due for me on Wednesday, if I'm late I'm going to be testing either Thursday or Friday.

Just spent my lunch break reading ttc websites, and came across this, which is interesting:

It makes me wish I'd waited a couple more days to test!

@Bezalelle yes you've done the same thing as me! I read that those who get early BFPs are usually those that implant early and have their HCG increase rapidly, while others get their BFPs after AF due to them implanting later and then HCG doesn't rise so quickly.

Makes me feel a bit better in the TWW going forward not to get too disheartened if I'm not experiencing anything much in terms of symptoms. I really want to try and enjoy life next time around and not obsess over every little thing! So hard not to though 😩

@Hayd88 - me too, regarding enjoying life and not obsessing next time. It's tricky because DP and I don't currently live together, which makes TTC a bit of a logistical challenge. I'm already planning our summer rendezvous to coincide with ovulation

I just spoke to my mother and she told me "the maternal side of the family have always been good conceivers" which is good to hear

Now I just need to resist taking any more tests until at least Thursday, unless AF pitches up before then to put me out of my misery!

Sorry to colonise this thread with my ramblings, but has anyone experienced excessive CM and gone on to have a BFP? I'm usually dry as the goddamn Sahara three days before AF, but (TMI coming up) it's like Niagara down there today. I've had to change my pants

Yep - that's what I had with my son. I got my BFP at 10 dpo! Sounds so positive for you @Bezalelle !!

That's good to know @Hayd88! Hoping and praying that the next few days don't see the arrival of AF.

DP is arriving on Thursday for a visit, so it would be amazing if I could greet him with a BFP and not my period!

@Bezalelle that's interesting about the more time the passes the more likely you'll get the positive. Really going to try and hold off testing until Thursday if I can. I've also been getting an increase CM but I honestly don't know if this or because AF is due of what really. I'm feeling super exhausted today with a massive headache, not sure if it's because of the heat or what. I'm getting cramps again and I'm so sure AF is about to start any day now. Ah well 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Carysmatic - seeing those figures gave me hope! I'm tempted to test again tomorrow morning but I'll try to hold off until Thurs. I shouldn't have bought so many bloody tests!

Hopefully your tiredness and headache aren't signs of AF coming.

@Bezalelle I hope it's not AF but it feels a lot like it is. Fingers crossed for all of us, baby dust all round ✨

Onto cycle #7 next month i guess.

I honestly think I'll be getting AF very soon, all signs and symptoms pointing that way 😔

Sorry @Lammoshay. Hope you're not feeling too bad. Cycle 7 has a good positive ring to it. Hopefully it will bring you a BFP in due course.

I was just about to take a test this morning but decided to hold out. It's a mug's game, all this early testing. I'm going to be sensible about it and wait until the day AF is actually due (Thurs).

So I caved and took a test and got a BFP at 12dpo 😊😊😊 I was one day late for AF as I have an short LP.

I was shaking when waiting for the result I sort of had a feeling x

Still no AF here but feeling very nauseous and bloated this morning. Kinda AFish symptoms but no AF

Hi ladies. I don't want to upset anyone where AF has arrived this month, but this morning AF failed to turn up for me and I got a very, very faint positive on a FRER.

I am very cautious as it's still so so faint and am worried by what that means, but I'm still feeling thankful - and surprised!!! I will re-test in a couple of days and hope the line has gotten a lot darker!

I wanted to let you know in case you continue to wonder about symptoms in your next cycles - I am a true example of NO "normal" pregnancy symptoms, and a very different experience to DS. All I've had is very strong AF symptoms - cramps and emotional / angry outbursts. Far stronger and for far longer then normal, but I truly thought I was out!

So keep the faith until AF due next cycles - you are definitely not out until that due date xxx

@Hayd88 tentative congratulations to you. Thank you for your very tactful message. It's not always easy seeing lots of people suddenly popping up on the thread with their BFP, especially when they've not been active very much on the thread before. It's like a little slap in the face every time, little insensitive of people, I get they're excited but still. This month I really feel like I'm out even though AF hasn't actually arrived so you've also given me a little hope as well saying your symptoms have been very similar to AF. Thank you for your thoughtful message and I really do wish you the best of luck. I'm really praying AF doesn't arrive this month but I'm like 98% sure it will.

Hold onto the faith @Carysmatic - I went to bed last night feeling 99% sure I'd wake up to AF. Honestly, the way I felt I couldn't possibly be PG. I will keep you in my thoughts 💕
