TWW buddies 1DPO today

Carysmatic · 19/06/2019 11:55

Hey, I thought I'd start a new group for TWW as I'm just 1DPO and I felt like I was a bit late to jump on the other TWW groups

TTC #1
1DPO
Age 29
Cycle #3 of TTC
Cycle length 27-30 days (usually bang on 28 though)
CD 15
BFP/AF due 2-3rd June

I actually managed to pin point my LH surge this month with opks, I used one step and CB digits and got a solid smiley on CD 13 and then my bbt temp spike this morning putting O day at some point yesterday. Me and DH DTD CD 6, 8, 12, 13 and 15 so hope that we're in with a good chance this month.

Anyone welcome to join me for the dreaded TWW to symptom spot and try and convince each other not to test too early 🙈

So embarrassed, reading that back!!

Namechangeymcnamechange11 · 25/06/2019 13:45

Just a wee bit emotional bezalelle? Wink

I had random stabbing pain in the pelvic region... Completely optimistic of me given the time to concentrate DC1 but it's getting my hopes up!

Sips decaff thoughtfully

No idea why I'm symptom spotting, I had none in my previous pregnancy other than a lack of period!

Bezalelle · 25/06/2019 14:24

It's a bloody rollercoaster, I tell ya. I just yelled at the automated voice thingy while trying to call my bank... Managed to hold it together when I got to the actual bank person on the other end.

I'd make myself a nice cup of tea if the thought of it didn't make me nauseous!

Hayd88 · 25/06/2019 14:51

Really @Namechangeymcnamechange11 , no symptoms in your last pregnancy? I am trying to rely on this as being possible when I don't feel anything, but very hard when my first pregnancy came on so strong from the beginning!

I'm very emotional today but I think it's just this continuously thinking and wondering during the wait! 😐

Carysmatic · 25/06/2019 14:51

Oh wow, I've been on night shift and I'm going to try and catch up with everyone messages
Thanks @satsumasaturday @Sophieb15 and @Bezalelle for comments about nipples, I think it sounds promising but I haven't had it again since last night so maybe it was just a random one off 🤷🏼‍♀️ have any of you experienced nipple pain coming and going?

Welcome to the group @Hayd88 it's so difficult to not symptom spot and I guess if it just happened last time then you probably weren't thinking about your symptoms at the time.

@Namechangeymcnamechange11 welcome to TTC for your first cycle, good luck!

@Bezalelle I've heard vivid dream us quite a common symptom, I had some really vivid dreams the last few nights, like some so much that I wake up thinking things in my dream really happened! Hopefully it's s good sign! Mood swings like that could be a good sign, do you ever get emotion around AF or is it totally out of the blue?

When I got home from work this morning around half 8 I had this wave of nausea, I normally eat breakfast before I go to sleep but I didn't this morning. I also tend to graze a lot when I'm on night shifts and I hardly ate a thing last night, just two rice cakes and that's all. Just woken up and I don't really fancy making myself lunch, just a total loss of appetite, no more nausea but just a total dis-interest in food. Which is totally not like me!!! Except I did just text DH to get me ice cream on his way home! That's all I fancy 😂

Sorry for long message and sorry if I've missed anything! My fingers and toes are crossed for all of us ☺️

PS @Bezalelle that is very funny!! 😂

Carysmatic · 25/06/2019 14:52

@waitingforbaby2 hey, this was the group I was talking about for the tww, you're welcome to join xxx

waitingforbaby2 · 25/06/2019 15:07

Thanks @Carysmatic

TTC #2 -9 months
DPO 7 AF/BFP due 1st/2nd July

I don't know if I'm imagining it or not but I've been feeling a bit sick on and off today and had a big cramp on my right hand side that lasted about 10 minutes I really hope it's not wishful thinking good luck to everyone else

Namechangeymcnamechange11 · 25/06/2019 16:18

@hayd88 - yes, well not early on anyway. I got sore boobs at some point because I brought some crop tops to sleep in, but that wasn't early. No morning sickness, other than a brief feeling of nausea when having to visit a client in central London, but then that could have been the effect of a packed tube train on a warm day for a non Londoner!
I wouldn't have known any different for quite a while if I hadn't been religiously testing.

@carysmatic thank you! I've been waiting for the return of AF for so long that this is feeling like a very long wait Angry

Moongirl10 · 25/06/2019 18:09

@Hayd88 @Bezalelle 9DPO today but on Sunday I was so emotional too! Couldn’t stop crying but there was no reason for it Blush
Currently sat on my break at work trying to fight the urge to go buy some tests (have none at home). Nausea has gone, had a couple of sharp pains in pelvic area and boobs today but who knows!

Carysmatic · 25/06/2019 22:37

So I'm 8DPO today, when are people planning on testing? I definitely won't test before 10DPO but going to try and wait until AF is due if I can help it.

Any one here an early tester?

OP posts:
Lammoshay · 25/06/2019 23:44

I’m an early tester just can’t help myself 🙈 big BFN obvs 😂 been so moody the last 2 days and beyond tired! 🤞 oh I’m 7/8dpo x

Carysmatic · 26/06/2019 00:14

@Lammoshay still hope, but early for a result yet I'd think!

I'm really going to try and not test, I've felt a bit nauseous today, really been off my food, I've been moody too but that's because I've been on nights and that always puts me in a mood so I don't think that's hormonal.

I'm really hating the tww right now, I just want to know one day or another so I can just get on with my life!

OP posts:
Hayd88 · 26/06/2019 06:53

@Carysmatic I'm an early tester too but I won't test this time around until AF due on 2nd, been too disappointed these last few months! I'm only 7dpo today. The only "symptom" I have is a whole lot of bloating!!! I haven't even had the 5/6dpo cramping that I've had the last few months.

satsumasaturday · 26/06/2019 07:10

@Carysmatic I'm 8/9dpo today. I test using ICs from early on (did one yesterday, bfn) but I won't use my frer until I can see something on one of them

waitingforbaby2 · 26/06/2019 07:24

8DPO not feeling confident today all symptoms from yesterday have disappeared and I kinda use my resting heart rate on my Fitbit as a sign as it was rising but today it has dropped and that usually means AF is on the way

Carysmatic · 26/06/2019 09:22

@Hayd88 @satsumasaturday I'm really going to hold off on testing. I've literally got one FRER test and I'm going to save it for as long as I can. Though this morning I've woken up and just feel crap about it all. I'm convinced that AF is just around the corner. I feel like I'm just constantly kidding myself every time I think I have a symptom. I've got a week left of the tww and I am so over it. I could just cry

OP posts:
Hayd88 · 26/06/2019 09:35

Oh @Carysmatic I do know exactly what you mean. I could cry too - and then I question whether I'm highly emotional because I'm pregnant - it's ridiculous!!! Hang in there. I'm learning we all need to try and keep busy and look after ourselves during this time....it's really hard I know but otherwise we are spending most of our time waiting and worrying. It is so crushing and emotional though I feel the same way xx

Carysmatic · 26/06/2019 09:49

Ha! Exactly my thought @Hayd88 thinking maybe I'm emotional because I'm pregnant! It's a bloody catch 22, I feel crazy! I tried talking to DH about it last night and he's so oblivious. I mean he's keen to know the outcome at the end of the tww but he's not the one constantly assessing every little twinge or feeling going on inside his body! I told him I know I'm being crazy but I can't help it!

MrsG3 · 26/06/2019 09:57

Hi ladies, mind if I hop on? Think I'm currently 2dpo of cycle #3 but woken up with really tender tummy so not sure if my app put ovulation 2 days early and it's actually today 🤷🏻‍♀️ at the minute it looks like af is due 8th of July but who knows, you wouldn't think making a baby could be so difficult!

🤞🏻 for everyone xx

Carysmatic · 26/06/2019 10:00

Hey welcome @MrsG3 are you using any other ways of tracking ovulation other than apps? Temping or opks? Xxx

OP posts:
MrsG3 · 26/06/2019 10:07

@Carysmatic no I'm not although really starting to wish I was...feeling a bit confused.com today lol! Think I'm going to have to start tracking things a bit better next month. What does everyone recommend?

Carysmatic · 26/06/2019 10:35

@MrsG3 well this month I've been using temping and opks, I don't think temping works for me though. I'm a bad sleeper and I wake several times in the night and to get a good BBT reading you need to have at least a solid 4hour sleep and I tend to wake every 2 hours. I've found opks useful and this month detected my LH surge to pin point the day I ovulated exactly, which takes the anxiety out of it a little. But opks an be hard to get right and don't work for everyone, everyone's different. X

OP posts:
MrsG3 · 26/06/2019 10:39

Thanks @Carysmatic that's really useful to know. My ds still wakes up at all hours through the night so not sure temping would work for me either but may try opks 😀 x

Carysmatic · 26/06/2019 10:52

@MrsG3 the one step opks you can get on amazon are really good though don't always give a true positive. The test line as to be as dark as or darker than the control line. The first month I used them I never got a positive, the test line would just get darker every day but never dark enough and then it suddenly got lighter and lighter. So this cycle I used CB digi opks as well. Once the test line started getting darker on the one step tests I started to use a CB digi at the same time until I got a solid smiley. Even with a positive result with the CB I still never got a true positive with the one step. Sorry that's really long winded, but I hope it's useful x
