Hello there,

Currently on cycle #5, trying to conveive baby number two (many years after first), and realising ttc is one of the most frustrating tasks I have embarked on.

I had a chemical pregnancy in january which has completely taken all joy out of trying because even if that BFP appears, I do not think I could bring myself to be excited about it.

That being said, there is only one way this is going to happen so on I go with the 'ahem' BD and peeing on ovulation sticks and then pregnacy tests at any given moment.

AF due 15 April, let the obsessing begin..

Oh, and is anybody else actually sick of doing the deed yet (sorry husband)?
X

@lololoe I see it! Worth trying again tomo, but I've inverted it;

And so the 2ww begins. 15th April count down.
lololoe · 09/04/2019 19:18

Oh wow thanks everyone. I'll keep doing cheapies and if still looking promising I'll do a frer Friday. Not getting excited yet, I know even if it was a bfp it might not stick.
Good luck to everyone x

RLI1105 · 09/04/2019 19:44

@Wishing56 I feel exactly the same. The other day I was convinced I had symptoms and now there's nothing! Whatever happens have a great weekend with your friends! 😁

@lololoe on the first photo I zoomed in and definitely saw something. Good luck! Fingers crossed for you!!

@Mikeyjayne2018 I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. That must have been awful for you. No wonder you're emotional! My fingers are definitely crossed for you!

Thanks to everyone that replied something encouraging after my last post. I didn't mean to be such a downer but reading it back it definitely came across that way! I'm 8dpo and have had virtually no symptoms today.
This is only our first month TTC so we would be unbelievably lucky to conceive this month. I'm also getting married in 4 weeks which is really exciting and we have a nice honeymoon booked so if it doesn't happen this month I have loads of things coming up to distract me and focus on.
My fingers are definitely crossed for everyone though!! 😁

lololoe · 09/04/2019 20:25

@RLI1105 I'm also getting married in 4 weeks!! I have heard people say that the month they had no symptoms was the month they got their bfp, so you aren't out by any means. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Ttc is crappy at times and I think you experience every emotion at some point. I think the first month is the hardest too because it's all so new and you symptom spot like crazy. Are you ttc first baby? X

Mikeyjayne2018 · 09/04/2019 20:34

@Sleepyhead11 @lololoe @thosethreewords @RLI1105 thank you so much for your lovely messages. So much support I wished I'd have been here 4 weeks ago. I appreciate it so much and will certainly pay it forward when the time comes. Wishing you all the very best of luck too 💗 still no BFP for me. I've just thought it could take ages for me given the miscarriage. Some people say they don't have a period for ages... but then they did confirm ovulation on 28th March so I'm guessing I'll have to have a period soon. It's all so complicated🙄🙈 good luck with all your tests ladies 💗

Headswim · 09/04/2019 20:57

Can I join please? Bear

I am 36, 4th cycle ttc #1 and 6dpo (ish).. am obsessively symptom spotting and Googling... basically had cramps since the day of ovulation and twinges in my back, thighs, side and abdomen.. I rarely even get PMS cramps. Last night I was in agony! And also so much gas.

Also getting a lot of CM, stupidly tired even though just got back from holiday..

I'm not getting hopes up and will prob need somewhere to vent soon!

Baby dust to everyone xx ✨

Headswim · 09/04/2019 20:58

I read somewhere that implantation cramps are a myth 🤔

RLI1105 · 09/04/2019 23:43

@lololoe What a small world! Congratulations for your upcoming wedding! I have so much to do I don't know how I even have time to TTC! Yes we're trying to conceive our first child so this is all really new to me. There's so much information out there who knows!

@Mikeyjayne2018 Yes I heard it can be a while too so that's great you've ovulated! Obviously you'll know when the time is right and look after yourself in the meantime.

I'll be 9dpo tomorrow. I'm interested to see what my temperature is in the morning. The last couple of cycles my temperature has dipped 9dpo and then AF arrives 11dpo. This torture will hopefully be over soon either way!

lololoe · 10/04/2019 08:05

@Headswim hi fingers crossed for you!

@RLI1105 hope your temp stays up this morning!

I forgot to hold my urine and had a pee in the night when I got up to see to DD 🤦🏼‍♀️ but I tested when I got up this morning and looks like bfn for me. There's a shadow there once test dried, but came up after 10 mins so it will be evap. Half tempted to use my frer but trying to resist.

How's everyone else this morning?

RLI1105 · 10/04/2019 08:31

@lololoe I do that all the time!! A couple of times I've just bounded out of bed and not taken my temperature as well which is also very annoying!

I think my body is trying to protract this whole situation! Yesterdays temperature was pretty high for me and today's there is a slight dip but not a major one.
I managed to talk myself into using a FRER as well (Arghhhh!) which was BFN. As soon as I opened it I knew it would be negative but I couldn't help myself!
I've woken up with a couple of lovely big spots as well which is a sure fire sign of AF. I'm working tomorrow and Friday (when AF is due) so that should distract me!

Mikeyjayne2018 · 10/04/2019 08:33

Morning ladies,

I've woken up to some cramping that feels a bit more like AF than anything else 😣 already considering the positives before I start getting down .... at least I have gone straight back into a normal cycle and this speeds things up for us generally.
I'm not out yet but I'm convinced not to test as I know the pains I'm having would just worry me if I got a BFP now. Id rather not know if it was a chemical. Hope that makes sense.
Hope you're all good this morning and hanging on in there ? :)

Okready · 10/04/2019 08:34

Hi everyone, it's getting towards that time for all of us now! I did a cheapie this morning and as expected got a BFN. Was in a foul mood yesterday and have no symptoms at all so I can't help but think I'm out. AF due on Friday. Hope to see some pics of positive lines appearing on here over the next few days to spread a bit of positivity x

Charlotte9876 · 10/04/2019 08:59

I had a big temperature dip this morning, below my cover line. I'm 7/8DPO now, and about to head to the airport as I'm away with work for a couple of days. I'm really really hoping it's a blip and isn't AF coming a couple of days early - I could really do with her coming when she's due on Saturday/Sunday so that I'm at home and not on a flight! (or ideally, she won't arrive at all...)

peasando · 10/04/2019 09:04

Hi @Okready, I was thinking that this morning too, hopefully we'll see some BFPs over the next few days! I tested with FRER this morning and completely white BFN so cant help thinking I'm out. AF due on Saturday or Sunday.

thosethreewords · 10/04/2019 10:20

@lololoe I've accepted this cycle I will just POAS every other day now. I'm using the cheap ones from amazon though so feel zero guilt.

There must be a Christmas baby in this thread somewhere!

Sleepyhead11 · 10/04/2019 10:58

Think I'm out this month, because, this might be TMI but I always grow a black hair on my left nipple the week before AF, and it has appeared, ah well. Told DP when I got up and he was just like 'Oh, I'm sorry, but it's only month 2,' then went on cleaning the kitchen, which I guess is nice, but would have liked a hug.

@Charlotte9876 - I know what you mean about af on a flight, I actually hate using plane loos at the best of times. I hope it's a false alarm.

@lololoe and @RLI1105 congratulations on weddings. @lololoe - I hope it's positive, are testing again soon?

@thosethreewords I love the idea of a Christmas baby lurking in this thread somewhere, although sadly not mine, but maybe one of yours.

@Mikeyjayne2018 I don't know what to say. I'm sorry and wish we'd been here four weeks ago too - hope you were surrounded by rl supportive friends and nice colleagues, as well as a supportive dp. I hope you have some good news soon.

peasando · 10/04/2019 11:02

@Sleepyhead11 I'm so sorry and I know it's not funny but that is the most brilliantly specific symptom of AF I've ever heard, I couldn't help but chuckle!

Don't give up yet though, you're not out til AF shows x

Sleepyhead11 · 10/04/2019 11:02

@Okready it always puts me in a foul mood too. I don't know how we can protect ourselves, other than focusing on next month,

Sleepyhead11 · 10/04/2019 11:03

Thank you @peasando - I always get it X

Wishing56 · 10/04/2019 11:05

@okready i was feeling the same yesterday. Still feeling pretty low again today. Feel a bit heavy down there so feel like AF may make an early appearance.
I have resisted testing so far as i dont think i can face the disappointment.

Been having alot of watery CM today which i got last month before AF 😟 logged it in my Flo app and its pushed AF back 2 days so now think friday would be too early to test so just going to have to wait it until early next week.

I am praying we all get our BFP soon.
I love seeing BFP on mumsnet as it gives me hope 😊

Wishing56 · 10/04/2019 12:41

Just had a random nose bleed so find myself googling whether this is a symptom 🙈

MotherOfShihTzus · 10/04/2019 12:44

@Wishing56 Grinearlier this week I googled '5dpo fat swollen fingers pregnancy symptom' - you never know!

Hows everyone getting on? This is the longest I've held out before testing, trying to wait another few days. Probs haven't as I haven't identified any symptoms... currently 10dpo and holding out til Friday or Saturday even better - to test!

peasando · 10/04/2019 13:21

@MotherOfShihTzus I am so impressed by your willpower! Also 10dpo today and I've been testing for days!! 🤦‍♀️

StarlightIntheNight · 10/04/2019 13:47

I am definitely out. I felt bloated today and had a tiny bit of spotting (I always get 2-3 days before my period spotting). Good luck to everyone else!

MrsRLM · 10/04/2019 14:52

10 DPO today and AF due on Sat or Sun.

I usually get quite obvious PMT the week before AF but nothing really yet. I also had a big dip in temps at 8PO so fingers crossed.

I'm aiming to FRER on Saturday morning.
