TTC number 2

Is it me or does number 2 seem to take longer to conceive?

So I had a 1/100 chance of Down Syndrome coz my last baby had this and a lower risk of Edwards and Pataus and the results came back clear for these - but the biggest hurdle is the results I get on Friday/Monday where I have a 50% chance of the baby being too ill to keep!! Found out it's a boy which is what I thought coz last time I was having a boy (who I had to lose) I was sick loads same as this time - whereas with my DD I wasn't sick at all! Xx

Thanks I hope so too - tho if it's bad news it will be a tough weekend coz Saturday will be a year since my last little boy would have been due (the date is stuck in my head because it's the day before my wedding anniversary!) 🤞🤞🤞this little boy is ok - I feel like he will be but that could very well be wishful thinking and then I'll be even more crushed if he's not ok!! Xx

Hope you hear tomorrow mummybear it must feel like torture waiting for these results, especially with the anniversary of your loss coming up.

chemist were you testing today? I guess depending how long it took for OV to occur after the positive OPK you would be between 8-11DPO?

5thanks @Chips4dinneragain and @crazychemist - I am so scared right now if I get the results today it won't til about 4pm -it is absolute torture coz I can't concentrate on anything else and can't take my mind off it-if he's ok I won't care how bad the waiting was!! Xx

I'm utterly heartbroken my little boy, again, is too poorly for me to proceed with this pregnancy I will be needed another TFMR - he had to genetic conditions which would make him too poorly!! Not sure yet if I'm strong enough to try again after this my second TFMR -good luck to everyone else xx

Thanks @crazychemist. The cramps have subsided which is nice cos Friday i was in so much pain it was hurting to sit and walk. Like being in early labour again! Now i just have nipples on fire. The joys of being a woman

Glad to hear cramps have eased herewegoagain. I've been thoroughly tetchy this AF, had quite a rant at DH over the weekend (although, if I'm honest, everything I said was true!). Cd6 now, so getting ready to get back on the treadmill again! It would be so nice to just dtd for the fun of it rather than on schedule.

I'm sorry I ducked out of here. It's been an awful few weeks. I had a D&C yesterday for a missed miscarriage. I'd had a few scans, they picked a heartbeat up 2 weeks ago at nearly 7 weeks but then Friday gone no heartbeat present. Devastating but have a lot of support.

Also sorry to hear AF got you chemist, so frustrating after your strong OPK. If you are CD6 does that mean your luteal phase was short again? Not that I have a creepy stalkerish knowledge of your cycle or anything......

I’m so sorry to hear that nespresso, what awful news. I’m glad to hear you have lots of support, are you recovering from your procedure?

chips, if I’m right about my OPKs, last two cycles have had 10 day Luteal phases. Might explain why I’m not having much luck with ttc. I’ll keep tracking things this cycle, if it’s less than 12 days again I’ll go to my GP. We’re at the year mark now for ttc.

Thank you both. Yes recovering well, hardly any pain and just a touch of spotting. Emotionally I am a wreck 😢 it's hard when it's your second loss in a row

So sorry @nespressowoo - this is my 2nd TFMR in a row so I feel your pain both boys as well!! This one is 13 weeks the last was 12 weeks -I'm in hospital now waiting for the doctor to start the induced miscarriage bit :( xx

Hope you are both holding up ok nespresso and mummy. This thread definitely needs some good news! AF got me 3 days earlier than planned!

Also might be taking break from ttc due to my relationship going down the pan
