TTC after coming off Cerazette

Hi everyone!

Me and my boyfriend have decided to try for a baby. I’ve been on Cerazette for about 8 years with one break a few years back. I stopped taking the mini pill 16 days ago and still no bleed. Usually if I miss 1 day I’ll bleed the following week. I’ve taken a test which came back negative but wondering if it’s too early?
Can anyone else share their experience with coming off cerazette and their first bleed and/or conception please?! I’m desperate to get pregnant!

Just out of interest, if you're getting lines on the cheapies - is it worth getting your partner to pee on one to see if they produce a line for someone who clearly isn't pregnant? Least then you'd know if there is something different in your wee?

Ha . wow I’d never thought of that, that’s a brilliant idea . I don’t think I’ll ask him tho. He already thinks I was being ridiculous taking so many tests and I’m deffo not pregnant. It’s just the ICs are really bad for evaps

I think it's something I'd get hubby to do if I ever see 2 lines as I wouldn't believe it otherwise (unless it was an expensive test) 🤣

That's exactly why I'm only doing frer tests from now on! Every strip test I've taken has had evap lines which end up with colour in them! 🙄 Absolutely cruel as so many women must have their hearts broken by them!

I'm currently in bed feeling rotten. Banging headache and feeling sick. Never willed myself to feel unwell so much! 😂🤦‍♀️

I'm the same, loads of faint positives over the last week, had one bleed since coming off the pill

Morning ladies. Any tests taken this morning or anyone taking any today? I took a clearblue this morning just to be sure and BFN so I'm back on counting 3DPO .. 2 week wait seems like a myth currently, don't know how I'm gonna make it 😂

Took another this morning and negative :( I'm done. Have no idea what's going on with my body. I'm not classing faint lines as lines anymore. Nightmare.

@Rosie2531 oh mate sorry 🙁 it's so stressful. I wonder if you're having ovulation symptoms... maybe try buying some cheap ovulation tests (I used Wilkos own ones) and see what that's saying. You've deffo got symptoms of something! Just need to pin point what it is.

@xoxhayleyxox I thought at first that I saw another faint line but not any darker than yesterday's. I got grumpy and deleted the pictures I took 🙄 but these are the ones I left.
I just don't know what to think anymore. I feel shit - constantly sick, banging sore head and weird taste in my mouth. Absolutely no sign of af but I have weird twinges at night deep in my stomach. I'm so done with this not knowing business and squinting over tests.

@Rosie2531 I just made the pic darker and can deffo still see a faint line 😩 you're not the only one seeing them don't worry but I don't get why it's not getting darker! Did you manage to speak to the doc today yet?

It's heartbreaking as when the test is developing it proper catches my eye and then doesn't develop any :( I'd expect change over 24hrs. Should have just waited till Wednesday. I can definitely see it in that pic, thanks for doing that! At least I know I'm not going crazy.

My sister had a similar issue with my niece and my mum didn't test positive with me for ages, so I'm holding on to that knowledge. It's just really strange.

Too late to call the docs now as they only open their line at 8 o'clock 🙄 I can't take any time off today to go for an appointment anyways as I have my exam kids this afternoon. They'd probably call me crazy for asking for a blood test anyways.

Bought 4 more frers that arrive today 🙄 I clearly have a problem!

@Rosie2531 girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! You won't rest until you know what's going on and I'd do the same, so don't worry. This waiting game is the worst thing. I keep going really dizzy today, not sure what all that's about

Hm, that's weird. Maybe blood sugar levels after ovulation? Could be promising!

I feel exhausted and have a pounding headache. Woke up at 5am and couldn't get back to sleep but really tired! 😂 this waiting game is stressing me out!

@Rosie2531 I'm driving mine crazy, he said last night 'you're becoming obsessed' and I went to bed in a huff and told him to piss off, he later came up after making a handmade card like a loser with a picture on the front of me and him and a baby so of course I had to say sorry for being a moody bitch 😂🤦🏽‍♀️
How long are you away for, is it the weekend?
Hopefully you'll be able to take your mind off of it when you're away.
I'm gonna have to go get in bed for a bit, I feel awful and his dizziness is making me feel bloody horrendous and I've just managed to burn myself making lunch, feeling very sorry for myself right now 😂

@Rosie2531 I wonder what's going on with you, poor thing. I don't think the doctors will criticise you for asking for a blood test. You need to know what's going on.

4DPO (I think!) for me. All my 'symptoms' have disappeared and I feel 'normal' again lol even tho I probably wasn't experiencing symptoms at all deep down.. although hubby was playing around with a tennis ball last night and did accidentally hit my stomach with it (pure accident!) and it hurt

Could be worth asking for a blood test @Rosie2531 I only say this because someone I know never got a positive test, however, blood tests showed she was.

Incidentally, I never ever ever got a positive result on a First Response test or a cheapy, only on ClearBlue and I was definitely pregnant, as the grumpy teenager I have now demonstrates!

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'll call the doctor tomorrow if the line is still faint like today's 🤔 maybe just ask for an emergency appointment and demand a blood test lol!

That's crazy with your friend. I guess things like that are rare though so don't want to get my hopes up. My OH said he could see the line 🙄 so that's good. I'll take another tomorrow 😂 here's hoping!

@rosie2531 best of luck with your doctors , I phoned mine today and they are booked up until the 29th of April told me I wasn’t an emergency. I’m going out of my mind. I got another negative result today on a early response 😢 I’m convinced my boobs are swollen and so tired all the time. My AF is now 7 days late , I’m hoping that I ovulated really late in the month and there’s a possibility I conceived on the 16th/17th. Can anyone give me any hope

@Byrne123 if it's any consolation I don't think I ovulated until CD21 and my last cycle was 26 days! I was taking cold & flu tablets so this may have delayed it. No idea when I'm now due AF but I'm counting another 10ish days yet

@Robbo93 I’m so confused as to what’s going on right now. If it was then I conceived would the test be showing it ? I went to a tarot card reading last Sunday and she told me pregnant and as soon as I find out to let her , she really got my hopes up

@Byrne123 you're looking at being 9/10 days from conception if that's the case and may still be too early to test.. you may get a very faint line on a first response but still likely to be negative for a couple of days x

@Robbo2531 that’s what I’m hoping for very unlikely tho 😢 got a negative first response today, suppose il try again at the end of the week
