Decided to set up a thread for ladies due to ovulate some time around the 22nd March. If you're due to OV around this time, come on in!

I find these easier to follow than the big month-long threads.

Thought we could all test at similar times, discuss our crazy symptom spotting, and all the other "fun" around TTC.

You're doubly welcome if you're a POaS addict like me Grin

About me:
33
This will be cycle 5 after TFMR last year.

TTC our first

I've tried conceive plus, preseed, all manner of ovulation kits, etc.

This month I'm going to focus on losing half a stone. I've put a lot of weight on since my TFMR. I think i could be disadvantaging myself. I'm also going to cut down on caffeine throughout the who cycle.

I've also bought the Harvard medical school Fertility Diet book, all backed up with science so I'll let you all know how I get on with it.

Here's a summary if anybody interested: www.urmc.rochester.edu/medialibraries/urmcmedia/fertility-center/education/documents/fertility-diet.pdf

@Michellebops and @WildFlower2019 you've had a lot going on so the wobbles are totally understandable.

@WildFlower2019 I'm glad having your mum to stay isn't putting DH off!! As long as you're quiet she will be none the wiser 😂😂

I started opks on Tuesday, and today CD10 I've got a faint line on the IC opk:.. had nothing the last two days so does this mean that it's building up to a positive in a couple of days? Never used them before!

Kinsella82 · 14/03/2019 18:08

@WildFlower2019 the bold text happened to me too!! Must be a glitch!

deathbycats · 14/03/2019 18:44

I think so Kinsella82. I’m on CD9 today and had a darker line but still a negative. I’m hoping it works in a building up way, like a faint positive on a pregnancy test.

crazychemist · 14/03/2019 18:50

DH is tired tonight. And he’s always tired on Fridays. So if I’m right about that I’ve ovulated early this month that puts me out of th running. Roll on April.....

Kinsella82 · 14/03/2019 19:39

@deathbycats fingers crossed that's how it works! I just wasn't expecting to see anything so early so I'm delighted to see something!!!

20TinkerBell20 · 14/03/2019 20:11

I feel like my body is going to have its own plans this month. Started AF on Friday 8th, finished completely by lunchtime Tuesday 12th then today have had light brown spotting like I usually do at end of AF Confused

Robbo93 · 14/03/2019 20:38

Oh I'm hoping you guys are ovulating. I'm on CD13 and not even a hint of a 2nd line on the OPK yet. I am only using cheapies off Amazon but they're meant to be highly sensitive?

WrexhamBuxom · 15/03/2019 02:42

@wildflower2019

I use the cheapie OPKs. The problem is I didn't realize you had to temp after you got a positive to verify that you had actually ovulated. So, all this time, I have been getting a OPK+ and been like.....yay, great and figured that's all I needed to do. Anyway, so now I am going to make sure both boxes are checked.

Yeah, I think the whole diet thing will probably be next on my list, after seeing my OB/GYN in May. I very well may have fertility issues that no amount of dieting would fix.

Morning

Jumping on this thread as my apps says ovulating around 22-24 March. Had bfp last month but lost it so new month new try.
Will do same as last month dtd every other day for two weeks to get it covered, as it seemed to work last month. Also did some spending yesterday to get my moods up and got Nutribullet. Also bought maca powder and flaxseed powder to start doing morning smoothies. New health kick to get the positive result. Also filled my drawer at work with some nuts. Going overboard with all this health tips. 🙈

Hopefully this is our month! 🤗

WrexhamBuxom · 16/03/2019 23:02

Hey ladies.

So, I did my first OPK of the cycle, and it was negative...phew. It was a little darker than I would have hoped for. BUT, comparatively speaking, it IS lighter than the last CD13 OPK I have on file, which I am hoping is a good thing.

I was hoping for no line at all or barely a whisper of a line, and it was darker than that, unfortunately. But, I am hoping the lightness of the line buys me a day or two beyond my estimated OV day. I realize I am on a wing and a prayer right now and that the margin for success this month is razor thin. But, it's not impossible yet, so as long as there is hope, there's a chance.

I will be starting with a different brand tomorrow of stick, so we will see if it matches up pretty much the same.

Robbo93 · 17/03/2019 06:51

I'm on CD16 and no positive ovulation reading for me yet :( not even a faint 2nd line.

20TinkerBell20 · 17/03/2019 10:56

What sort of OPK’s do you all use? Is there a real different between cheap internet ones and the expensive brands?
I’m on CD 10 and on cd8/9 I had very slight on and off period pain which was strange so dtd just incase but I’m guessing with a 31 day cycle it would be OV pain that early???

deathbycats · 17/03/2019 12:56

I had similar pain 20tinkerbell20 and a bit of bleeding (a really small amount) on cd9 and I’m also on a 30/31 day cycle. I’ve been using ICs purely because they’re cheap and it’s more because I’d like to know when it happens for dating purposes.

I’ve not had anything close to a positive yet, but only CD12, ovulation estimated to happen on Thursday/Friday and other signs looking like they’re headed in the right direction (cervix position/cm and skin breakouts 🙄).

WrexhamBuxom · 17/03/2019 17:06

@20TinkerBell20

I used Easy at Home brand, which you can find on Amazon. But, I ran out, so I just bought some generics at the store. I have a longer cycle too (Usually 30 days, knock on wood). I also had cramping on CD9, but I read that cramping can occur several days prior to OV, so good for DTD just in case, but it might not have been anything amiss.

Kinsella82 · 17/03/2019 21:04

I've had a few days now of faint lines on the opks. On CD13 so I'm hoping for a much shorter cycle this month compared to last. Really hoping to get the dark line soon. Dtd every second day since CD8

Hope everyone is ok x

WrexhamBuxom · 18/03/2019 00:50

CD14 here. Still a negative, which is good to know. Switching test brands midstream is a bit tough. I am so used to using the Amazon cheap brand, which is pink that this new brand, which is blue....it's just hard to compare apples and oranges when I look back at my historic readings.

I will say, I feel like visually speaking, I felt the line was as light as it was yesterday, maybe a hair darker. But, it showed darker on my Glow app, on the little analyzer window. I was at a 4 yesterday, and on the app, it jumped to a 6. Like I said, to the naked eye, I don't know that there was that much of a jump. But, the last cycle I have data on...on CD 14, I was at a 7/10, so I am still feeling like there is some hope to make it to March 22.

This new blue-dye test I am using...it's a bit weird. The control line is darker but blurry. The test line is lighter, but more solid. Even after sitting for a couple of hours, the lines haven't darkened a whole lot. I guess we will see what the next day brings.

Robbo93 · 18/03/2019 07:20

CD17 for me and still no hint of a 2nd line on the OPK. My cycle was only 26 days last month so dunno what's going on with my body - I suppose I may still be adjusting to coming off the pill in January. I'm wondering whether I'm ovulating at all Confused

Robbo93 · 19/03/2019 06:16

Now CD18 and finally have a very faint line on the OPK so I'm hoping something is happening!

Michellebops · 19/03/2019 06:29

Cd10 here, trying SMEP method and forgot to test opk this morning!

I'm ok to do it later if I hold in urine?

crazychemist · 19/03/2019 07:36

Good luck ladies! My MIl has come for a visit.... great timing!

20TinkerBell20 · 19/03/2019 08:14

crazychemist Grin sorry I had to laugh at that.
What you going to do? How long is she staying? I’m on CD12 and no signs of anything happening yet but your all tempting me to do get some OPK’s today !!!

Robbo93 · 19/03/2019 08:21

@Michellebops yes should be fine asking as you've held it for some time and not drank to dilute it for about 2hrs.

@crazychemist oh dear, face in a pillow situ? Wink

I do seem to have more watery CM, DTD last night but to be honest I don't 100% know what I'm looking for...

Michellebops · 19/03/2019 08:37

@Robbo93 thanks. I'll hold in and nip home at lunch time. Need to change trousers as I've lost weight and ones I'm wearing are falling down 🙈 and it's raining and my washing it out.

Michellebops · 19/03/2019 08:39

@crazychemist any chance she's got a hearing issue? If not send her to the shops for half an hour. Mines lives 5 minutes away and used to turn up at 9am on Sunday mornings. We got a new front door and never gave her a key 😂

20TinkerBell20 · 19/03/2019 09:29

Do you ladies know how far in advance your CM usually changes prior to ovulation? Since last day of AF I’ve barely noticed any at all but when I check it just looks wet and almost oily between my fingers but can’t actually see anything if that makes sense it’s just clear (sorry TMI) but I guess it’s what these threads are for! And I’m now CD12?
