@purplefig It definitely wasn't AF. I'm going to wait a couple of days and test.

@Crossfitgirl you have some self control! With all the extra adorable Easter dresses around, you go straight for business - boob care. 😂 What dpo did you get your bfp?

purplefig · 07/03/2019 16:24

@KatBeCool FX for you! I'm testing sat AM. Eeek. (Unless, of course, AF turns up before then).

Lozzlepop · 07/03/2019 16:32

@Jessikka yay for yummy cocktails though!!

@validuser thats fantastic news!

@Crossfitgirl who could say no to free nipple pads lol cups to keep your milk in, I am loving this convo 😂

@purplefig fingers crossed for Sat hun!

I am going out for Sushi tonight and I am so excited (its the little things) then hopefully home to DTD and then its everyones favourite time..... TWW 😒

starkid · 07/03/2019 16:38

Fingers crossed for everyone testing this weekend! Smile
I'll be back on the BD wagon Grin

Crossfitgirl · 07/03/2019 16:46

@katbecool I had a stark BFN at 11dpo and then got faint positive at 12dpo. Just had to go back onto flo to double check. Do you think you've had IB? You temp don't you too? Does the progesterone supplement affect your temperature? Maybe you didn't ov when you thought? Or maybe it's just really lengthened the LP. Is it your first month on it?

I did see THE CUTEST little Peter rabbit baby grow but they only had it in preemie sizes (it was the mothercare outlet cos, full price... No). Otherwise, that would have definitely been my first purchase. Haha.
Plus I'm still only 17+6. If I start buying stuff now, imagine how much stuff I'll have by the time baby comes!

Plus boob care is good. I'm totally going to test it out when it comes - just to be able stick it on my boob! I love my new boobs! They're honestly huge! I've always had fried eggs and now I have DDs!! It's the best.

@orangeloo @babysquid I honestly think the moon cups are going a bit far. Surely just sticking your legs in the air for a bit keeps it in better? That's what I did when I conceived. We did it on the stairs (just moved house, no curtains anywhere lol) , and I remember distinctly laying in the corner of the stairs with my legs up the steps. Stayed there like 15 mins. Haha. Although, I imagine stopping to go get a cup is not much more inconvenient than stopping to go get the lube, or in a past life, a condom!

@purplefig haha yes it's a nice little thread hope to see you on there soon! We can share essays! @starkid had already marked her place 😁

starkid · 07/03/2019 17:13

@Crossfitgirl - Haha talk about jinxing myself!
OMG... DD's? That's insane... Grin

KatBeCool · 07/03/2019 17:30

@Crossfitgirl you went from fried eggs to DD? I'm scared now lol. So here's my chart. Both Flo and FF agree on their estimate when I ovulated even if I don't enter when I got positive opk, which was CD13. But I am definitely starting to wonder if I ovulated later. Progesterone can artificially affect temps and I read some people will still get their AF and some won't until they stop it. But it definitely extends the LP. This is my first month. So when I saw the temp dip, I was surprised as I didn't think it'd be possible. I'm very confused. With Clomid you ovulate 5-10 days after you stop, I stopped on cd7. According to that, the latest to ovulate is cd17, so Flo, at the worst, is 2 days off.

TTC FIRST BABY - Thread 14!
orangeloo · 07/03/2019 18:12

@Crossfitgirl @BabySquid yeah maybe it is going a bit far haha. Might leave that til I'm abit more desperate (fx it doesn't come to that). Think I will make more effort to legs up after though rather than just laying down - What a conversation 😂

PineappleC · 07/03/2019 18:20

@babysquid thanks for posting all the foods!

Probably a really dumb question but with sweet potato, is it just the skin that has benefit, or the whole thing!? (Like with pineapple where it's just the core..). Total TTC dummy here!!

TTC34 · 07/03/2019 18:26

@LuckyPenguin @BostonFern 👋🏻hey! Pretty quiet here, started with my OPKs last night and they seem to be stronger than I would have thought for CD9. I have a smear test tomorrow so not DTD tonight (as per guidelines) I've read online it shouldn't interfere with TTC.
How about you?

BostonFern · 07/03/2019 18:27

@Crossfitgirl nice to hear you're feeling so well and back at CrossFit!

@purplefig I've always felt ovulation too, I think it is reassuring it not a little irritating! I hope AF not showing up yet is a good sign for you! 🤞 for Saturday.

@BabySquid looks like sweet potato is a good one for after ovulation then! I didn't know that, thanks for sharing. I have tuna for lunch each day at work, and broccoli about four times a week. Glad I've got the pregnacare though as I struggle with some food due to IBS.

Oh no @Jessikka hopefully she hasn't shown up.

@daisiesandpeonies we are trying SMEP. Think we will be tired in a few days- following it on CD8, CD10 and since today is CD11 and my OPK is positive it'll have been a busy week!

@ValidUser not long now then! How are you feeling?

Got my positive OPK this morning and afternoon, CD11, so two days earlier than the last two cycles- glad I started my OPKs a bit earlier than originally planned.

Hope everyone's day has been OK, I've got the worst of my working week done, and we have a naughty takeaway en route already. Looking forward to this time tomorrow evening!

KatBeCool · 07/03/2019 18:29

@PineappleC I don't think it's in the skin, but the actual flesh inside. They also say it wild yams are the ones that help the most and can be found only in African and Caribbean stores. I also just read that you eat them only until you ovulate but not after. So many rules...

BabySquid · 07/03/2019 18:58

@PineappleC I think it's all of it, it didn't actually say.
@TTC34 I have my smear next Friday, they told me it wouldn't interfere, but I was forgot what they said about DTD, is it just one day before not two?

LuckyPenguin · 07/03/2019 19:17

evening all! Hope everyone is ok? Had an argument with my DH today over me not going to the gym or taking my health seriously...I'm just so exhausted after work & TTC etc. I can't focus on too many things at once 🤣

@Jessikka - I like the sound of the two touch rule! Yeah. That couple did annoy me! I loved the family that were in the 2 bed flat! They were just such nice people!! Also - Loving your positivity girl! 🍸🍹🥂

@BabySquid - I'm planning on doing my drawers this weekend! That diet sounds interesting!

@BostonFern - so it's a good thing to have quite a bit of EWCM? Jealous of your cheeky takeaway!!

@Lottiepink - sorry I didn't respond to your comment, I felt that I couldn't answer your question & hasn't really experienced that x

@purplefig - SMEP is full on when you have to work too! 🤣 🤞🏻 AF doesn't turn up at all!

@daisiesandpeonies I'm doing SMEP 🙋🏻‍♀️

@KatBeCool - I can't believe your patience in not testing!!

@TTC34 - my OPKs are totally clear atm! Glo predicts Sunday. Pretty quiet with me too tbh! No news here!

TTC34 · 07/03/2019 19:22

@BabySquid I think general guidelines say 2 days before however I read online after googling (as you do!) and a few people said that their nurse said DTD the day before wouldn't interfere with the smear results. So depends where you are in your cycle I suppose. I think I could afford not to DTD today and yesterday so I'm happy enough. I also place a high priority on these tests, it's good to know that all is (hopefully) healthy!
I did wonder about the lubricant they use though, do you think that would have any impact on the environment for the wee swimmers??

BostonFern · 07/03/2019 19:23

@TTC34 we posted at the same time! Also got an early surge here. Hope your smear goes ok tomorrow.

@LuckyPenguin my understanding is EWCM makes it easier for the sperm to meet the egg, helping them survive the acidic environment of the vagina that isn't normally great for them. Other types of CM don't make it so easy for the sperm to get through the cervix or survive if I remember correctly.

TTC34 · 07/03/2019 19:25

@LuckyPenguin sorry to hear about your fight with DH...least you can 'make it up to him' and get lots of exercise in too when the BD ramps up. 😉
Yea I was surprised I had any line on mine, I don't usually ovulate till CD14-16. Always a spanner in the works somewhere in the month 🤔

PineappleC · 07/03/2019 19:41

Thanks @babysquid and @katbecool , that's good because the skin is a bit rubbish!

There's sooooo many rules, sometimes I wonder how on earth ppl in the olden days ever got pregnant 🤔

ValidUser · 07/03/2019 21:08

@Crossfitgirl that's so exciting.

@BostonFern hoping it'll be laparoscopic.

@purplefig salpingectomy - then ivf for us! Still only been trying for about 8 months, so it's all happening promptly!

Lottiepink · 07/03/2019 21:52

@LuckyPenguin aww no problem at all, thank you 😘 haha I know me neither 🤷🏻‍♀️🙈
Strange when after so many cycles of everything being kind of predictable in a way. Then all of a sudden something changes. Hope you DH takes it easy on you, as surely the BD is more than enough exercise after a long day 🤣

Still don't know where I'm at tho ha! App days 7dpo but i think 9dpo, so who knows 😂

PinkFizz19 · 07/03/2019 22:47

Evening ladies, hope everyone is well. Very nearly Friday and the weekend. Yeah!

@orangeloo Thank you. I did an OPK yesterday morning and it was low O (Clearblue) so I won't continue with them until CD10 as usual. It must have just been an odd night with a bit of late spotting as the pain didn't continue and wasn't anything bad. We think we know our bodies and then they continue to suprise us.

@Crossfitgirl Nice to hear from you. Glad everything is going well. Lol at the first purchase. Suppose these practical things are needed as much as the cute ones though 😊 Bet you can't wait to start buying outfits.

@PeacockingAbout Thanks for that. Suppose it's still early days from coming off the pill (end of November) so cycles and symptoms can change each month. How are you feeling so far? Think I'm due to O next Tues. Will start my OPKs again Saturday CD10 as I tend to get my static smiley around CD12. Fingers crossed this is our month and we will have 2019 babies 💛

MrsR16 · 07/03/2019 23:01

@ValidUser great to hear that's coming round so quickly!!

I'm in the TWW and I'm already going crazy... I've got a super busy weekend though, so that'll help!

starkid · 08/03/2019 06:55

@PinkFizz19 - I read somewhere when I used those opk's that the first one always says that no matter what, so would do one more to sure xx

Jessikka · 08/03/2019 07:07

Cycle 3 cd1 for me now!Feeling fine with it though! I have a very busy month with birthdays, hens and weddings!

Though I am getting a slight concern that my cycles are getting shorter. 27 days for first month off pill, then 25 now 23.

Realistically I know I am adjusting still but I'm still slightly worried my cycles will become too short. 😔

LuckyPenguin · 08/03/2019 08:03

@TTC34 & @Lottiepink - still not resolved...going to be a long weekend & SMEP now our the window as I'm so annoyed with how he's behaving!! 😤
