@Jessikka my cycles are pretty much exactly the same as yours. First cycle off the pill was 27 days (But feel like my body wanted to be on AF a few days earlier if that makes sense!) and now a consistent 23-25 days for the last 4 pill-free ones, even though I had to go back on the pill for 1 month in between for wedding. My cycle was always around 25 days pre-pill anyway, but I am working on progesterone-boosting stuff just in case my luteal phase is on the short side! Hopefully yours will also settle down a bit like this 😊

Lottiepink · 08/03/2019 08:25

@LuckyPenguin aww no! That's defo not what you want when it's your most fertile time. Hope you manage to work things out!x

Jessikka · 08/03/2019 08:28

Thanks @PineappleC I feel reassured a little!
Though deep down I know it's a waiting game.

I just realised it was 27,24,23. So this month is only one day earlier not two so it's not quite as scary!
My luteal phase is always 12-13 so that side of the cycle is ok so far! I'm just ovulating earlier each month and bringing everything forward a day.

Oh well! We shall see what happens next month - plus side... not long to wait and find out I suppose 🙄😂

PineappleC · 08/03/2019 08:44

@Jessikka ha yes exactly!! That is the good thing about a shorter cycle 😊 I don't think I could cope with a 30+ day one as I am way too impatient!! That sounds really good then as the luteal phase length is the main thing (apparently)! 😊 I think mine is 11-12 days but just started OPKs so 🤞. Just had a look back and my cycles went 27, 23, 24, (on pill for wedding), 25, 24.

Sorry that you're out this month!

purplefig · 08/03/2019 08:50

@validuser ahhh that's amazing news! I'm really pleased you managed to get an answer and are on the right track now. All so swiftly too, as you say.

@Jessikka 23 days is a bit on the short side, but as you say it's only C3 so things are probably just working out. And you have a LP of 12-13 and, to my knowledge, this is the bit that matters as it allows plenty of time for the fertilized egg to implant. For reference even though my cycles are 29+ my LP is 11-12 days, which is shorter than yours despite my cycle being longer!

Day 35 here. Still no sign of AF. On and off cramping still (has been happening since ovulation) and boobs just ever so slightly sore today. Hoping the latter isn't a sign of a late impending period! Planning to test tomorrow AM. Weirdly nervous about it...picking a date and sticking to it (and discussing it with DH) has made it seem a bit too climactic for my liking. I've made plans for if it's a negative, so that I don't just wallow and despair!

TTC34 · 08/03/2019 08:54

@LuckyPenguin oh no sorry to hear that! Definitely not ideal when it's coming into your 'good week' as we call it here 😂. Hope you can work it out and make up.
In other news had a much lighter OPK last night, so that was a weird early surge for me on CD8. Will be keeping a close eye on it from earlier in future (hopefully won't have to 😉) @BostonFern are you still surging early?

Happy Friday all! The sunshine is out where I am which always helps.

starkid · 08/03/2019 09:06

@purplefig - good luck for tomorrow!

Lozzlepop · 08/03/2019 09:22

@LuckyPenguin sorry to hear you and DH have fallen out, hopefully it blows over soon. If its any consolation I went out and got blind drunk last night and am currently dying at my desk 😱so needless to say we did not DTD so might have missed it this month 🙈

Crossfitgirl · 08/03/2019 09:42

@katbecool that chart isn't clear at all is it! I can see why the first rise looks like ovulation, but that dip and second rise also looks like ovulation... Or an implantation bleed... Or your body being a total twat to you by just being confusing! Well, fingers crossed for you. When are you testing? Xxx

Crossfitgirl · 08/03/2019 09:45

@purplefig are you late? Good luck for tomorrow!

Crossfitgirl · 08/03/2019 09:48

Thanks @bostonfern :-)
@validuser good luck for the surgery! That's come round fast xxx

purplefig · 08/03/2019 09:53

@Crossfitgirl since coming off BC last autumn my cycles have been: 34, 36, 28, 29, 29. So I kinda thought I'd settled into a 29 ish day cycle. Today is day 35. I had loads of weird stuff this month too (loads of cramping 6dpo and then on and off since, weird/plentiful CM, no boob soreness when that's normally my main pre-AF symptom). Trying not to symptom spot or get my hopes up, but as you can clearly see I am doing an absolutely poor job of that. Haven't tested yet as would rather see AF than a stark white BFN so picked Sat morn. God sorry for the ramble.

starkid · 08/03/2019 10:00

@purplefig - well i've got my hopes up for you Grin

purplefig · 08/03/2019 10:14

@starkid thanks Grin ! I'll update tomorrow either way.

LuckyPenguin · 08/03/2019 10:16

@Lottiepink - we will - he's just being stubborn! Lots going on at the moment so little things are getting to us more. An eruption and then all will be calm!!

@TTC34 - it's grey and miserable in South Wales! The fact it's the good week was thrown into the argument last night 🤣

@Lozzlepop - rugby this weekend and we're out with friends. I'm going to have a drink, but it'll be a stronger one that planned after these last few days!

LuckyPenguin · 08/03/2019 10:17

@Lozzlepop - sent too soon...hope you get through work ok!! X

KatBeCool · 08/03/2019 10:54

@Crossfitgirl bfn on a frer today. I think I'm done taking progesterone for this cycle. Was spotting all day yesterday and I think progesterone is just delaying the inevitable AF.

@ValidUser good luck with surgery, wishing you fast recovery.

Crossfitgirl · 08/03/2019 11:20

@purplefig well that sounds promising. My cycles got longer the longer I was off the pill, but very gradually. Kinda the opposite to you! Went from 21 days up to 28. Anyhoo, if 36 was the longest to date and it'll be cd36 tomorrow then testing tomorrow fares well.
Any other symptoms? I noticed a massive thirst those first days after the BFP, lots of AF like cramping (never usually get cramps) but I didn't actually yet any different symptoms to normal at all before my BFP. Just some unusual discharge (pink and jelly like) that prompted me to take the test that day, and a temp rise. Quite a big temp rise from what I remember, which actually came the day before (tested that day too due to the rise, and got a BFN, it was still up the day after) Do you temp?

@katbecool how long are you meant to take it for?

purplefig · 08/03/2019 11:32

@Crossfitgirl oh that is interesting - though satisfying you ended up on the perfectly typical 28 day cycle!! I don't temp and actually since the New Year I haven't done OPKs either. Must have been promising seeing that temp rise though! Go on then, let my indulge myself. Symptoms thus far:

  1. No sore boobs (have had sore boobs for at least a week before AF every previous cycle)
  2. Cramps on and off since ovulation and a weird stabby feeling on 6dpo which I've never had before
  3. Increased CM and weird jelly like CM about a week ago (for a few days). Normally I'm pretty dry before AF.
  4. INSANELY emotional. I'm normally a bit sensitive for 24/48 hrs before AF, but this has been over a week of crazy emotions. I am crying at the drop of a hat.
  5. The dog is following me around everywhere and I only have to much as sigh a bit loudly and he comes galloping up to check on me.

Then other weird ones include frequent peeing (I mean, I pee a lot anyway but it's getting ridiculous. Waking up in the night to go etc.), couple of headaches (rarely get headaches) and waking up feeling exhausted. I've also had crazy vivid dreams (get these a lot anyway tbh) and a couple of times have woken up in the night drenched in sweat and had to change PJs.

Of course, could all be nothing. So much for my cool as a cucumber "I'm not symptom spotting this moth" intentions Wink

Crossfitgirl · 08/03/2019 11:42

@purplefig do a test.
Test test test test test.
TEST!!!

KatBeCool · 08/03/2019 11:43

@Crossfitgirl it's tricky with progesterone. My instructions say "day 18 until pregnant". I've read you either take it until AF comes, or you test at 14 dpo and stop if bfn. This spotting doesn't help as I'm not sure how to interpret it and if I should continue for a couple more days. I read your comment about getting very thirsty. Apparently I don't get thirsty (been happening my whole life) but I do get dehydrated, which I did yesterday for no apparent reason and I drank about three times the amount I normally drink in a day. But it's still a bfn. Maybe I'll wait until Saturday.

KatBeCool · 08/03/2019 11:45

@purplefig my dogs don't ever let me out of their sight lol. But if yours is behaving strangely, then the dog knows something you don't. You should test.

purplefig · 08/03/2019 11:46

@KatBeCool sorry to hear about the BFN, they never get easier to deal with.

*@Crossfitgirl * BAHAHAHA love it. Staaaaahp it you enabler!!! I am determined to hold off until tomorrow AM. Stupid arbitrary date. Will update. Urghhh so nervous.

Crossfitgirl · 08/03/2019 11:46

@purplefig sorry. I know that's not helpful as you so sensibly have decided to wait til tomorrow. But... the peeing...
Oh I have a feeling for you!
Your blood volume starts to increase straight away if pg, and I was suddenly up twice in the night at first.
I could be totally wrong though.

I was an emotional mess the very early days. Cried at everything and irritable at everything.

I'm all exited for you and have my hopes up for you!

I'm a terrible influence xxx

purplefig · 08/03/2019 12:00

@Crossfitgirl No no don't apologise, I'm having great fun! And it's great to hear they are genuine symptoms you experienced. Absolute LOL if it's a BFN and I just have an old lady bladder. I really normally would have tested before now, but DH and I (for some stupid reason!) picked tomorrow morning so I'm going to stick to my guns. I have cried at so much stupid shit in the last two weeks it's unreal. My dad told me the England's women team scored a cracking goal against Brazil and I wept (luckily after I'd hung up the phone). I mean, jfc. I hope there is a reason for this!!

@KatBeCool yeah my dog is always down for a snuggle, but it's the running up to me every time I sigh that is a bit strange. Normally he'd ignore that.
