Happy Easter everyone!
Hope all works out @Bentley.
Fantastic news with both scans @tigsy and @buggles. My EDD is 13th October so just a week or two ahead of you both.
Sounds like a great time diving @kinsters.

Hope everyone is OK. I'm catching up but now it's gone onto a new page and I can't read everyone's responses from before so now I can't remember anything I was going to say!

I hope some R&R this weekend means we can get to some more BFPS.
We don't celebrate Easter in Dubai but Friday was the weekend anyway. We had work today but it was a PD day so only half a day so I can't complain at all really. It is getting HOT though now!

I'll try and write again when there are some more comments on this page and then I can actually try and respond to people!

I hope everyone is OK that has gone quiet on the thread recently like @frazzle, @rose68 and @indreamland. It's such a hard journey for us all that I hope that if people drift away they are still OK.

x

Kinsters · 22/04/2019 01:53

Hey edi hope the second trimester is easier for you than the first! Have you told everyone yet?

My chart is still looking nice. Hopefully my temperature will start to climb a bit tomorrow.

So sad being back at work this week! Hope you're all enjoying the long weekend and sunny weather.

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend?

Sounds like you had a fab time diving @Kinsters - how's your chart looking today?

How are you feeling @edidxb? Sorry you had to work this weekend, hope you are taking it easy.
Your bean is due the day before my birthday 🍰

Had such a nice long weekend. My horses were placed in the top 5 in each of their classes, we went to the beach with the dogs, had some friends over... had a few glasses of Pimms, went in the hot tub, ate soft cheese & charcuterie - all the things I wouldn't be able to do if I was pg.... as much as I can't wait to be pregnant again and I think about the baby we lost all day every day, this was perhaps the first time since the miscarriage that I've not minded not being pregnant, if that makes any sense.

@Frazzlerock, @Rose68, @InDreamland - please do feel free to stick your heads in. I hope you're all ok Thanks

Kinsters · 23/04/2019 09:45

That sounds like such a nice weekend Bentley! Also your birthday is the day before mine! Where in your cycle are you at the moment? Did you just ovulate? I remember you saying you thought you might be about to.

My chart is looking good today, temp has started to rise a bit after being fairly stable the past few days. Hopefully it will carry on going up and up!

Bentley111 · 23/04/2019 10:21

@Kinsters October birthdays are the best 😬
Yay for the spike!!
I'm 3dpo today, so 2 days behind you by the looks of it. So pleased it's been a long weekend as the first 2 days post O have flown by 😂 I'm determined to keep busy and not symptom spot this cycle.
When are you planning on testing?

Kinsters · 23/04/2019 11:12

Haha yeah, my first few days were easy cause we were on holiday too. Now I'm symptom spotting at 5dpo!

I'll probably test on Sunday at 10dpo or maybe Monday morning, may as well use one of my FRERs. I seem to get pregnant on 50% of the cycles that we time correctly (since I got a proper period after coming off birth control anyway), they just don't stick around.

Bentley111 · 23/04/2019 12:00

It's such a pain isn't it! What symptoms do you have?
I'm dreading this week at work - it has been very quiet over the Easter break. - but hopefully a short week will make it go faster. I just wish there was a way to distract myself.

Definitely use one up. How many do you have left?

Fx'd this cycle will stick!

Kinsters · 23/04/2019 12:41

Just the usual luteal phase symptoms - nausea and breasts a little bit tender. Trying to ignore it.

Work is soooo quiet for me at the moment as well. Too much time to Google and read mumsnet lol.

BettySwoll0cks · 23/04/2019 14:00

Glad to hear everyone's had a good Easter weekend. We've been down on the coast in this amazing sunshine. Total heaven.

I had a call from my dr's surgery today, I asked last week if they could chase my appt at the RMC because the letter went off at Christmas and I hadn't heard anything. Had a voicemail today saying that Cambridge had never received the referral, so now I am at the back of the queue again. I'm furious - especially since I have now lost another 5 months which I really don't have to lose.

Am thinking of going private now, I'm sick of this. Has anyone else had private treatment? It won't be ivf, probably a Clexane/ progesterone protocol or something.

Bentley111 · 23/04/2019 14:14

Glad you've had a good weekend @BettySwoll0cks - that's terrible. If you have the funds/insurance/work perks to do so, I would certainly try to go private. No experience of fertility but we have private healthcare through DHs work - he had a large op 2 years ago. 6 month wait list on the NHS was reduced to 3 days private. It's sad, but if it's at your disposal, do it.

I hope you've submitted a complaint too?

It's tough isn't it @Kinsters! I've noticed some creamy cm this morning but just trying to ignore it... also I'm ravenous but convincing myself that's because I'm a pig, not because we dtd at the right time 😬

My DSis picked up her puppy this afternoon and is spamming me with pics, a very welcome distraction!

InDreamland · 23/04/2019 22:13

Hi ladies

Thank you for asking after us @edidxb and @Bentley111. I'm still hanging around on mumsnet but dropped off this thread as I felt I was constantly just dragging things down with my low mood as have been finding things really hard, plus just been so busy with work so couldn't really keep up. Still on the TTC after pregnancy loss thread as always been a little more active on that although been struggling to keep up with that one too. DH and I have both been put on a course of antibiotics for an infection which shows no symptoms that is affecting DHs sperm quality and DNA - via private clinic. Currently on CD4 of another very light AF. I have been feeling really down as all chance of a 2019 baby now is gone. I should either have a 12 week old baby now from mc#1 or be 6 months pregnant from mc#2 (well we should all be around 6 months pregnant).

How are you all? Hope everyone is well. Have I missed any new BFPs?

Bentley111 · 24/04/2019 14:43

Hi @InDreamland, thanks for sticking your head in. You definitely aren't dragging any of us down. Sorry to hear about the antib's - what infection is that? Sounds worrying but glad it's under control.
I'm so sad to hear you're still trying Sad I should be 30 weeks on Friday, packing my hospital bag and enjoying my last few weeks of work before mat leave... it is awful isn't it...?

@Kinsters how are you feeling today? I'm feeling so bloated. Not a usual LP symptom for me but realistically know that at 4dpo it's 100% not a sign of anything else!

InDreamland · 24/04/2019 18:03

Thanks @Bentley111. I just thought feeling so low with having had a few baby bombs this year and just had another one today you ladies didn't need to hear all that. I've been so wrapped up in my own issues. Yep, think we're all at that stage of should have been x weeks. I'm supposed to be 28 weeks, almost 29. Plus that feeling of if I hadn't lost my first in July then that baby should be 12 weeks old now and I should be on maternity leave. Everything is a reminder and I'm constantly thinking I shouldn't here or doing this because I'm supposed to be at home with my baby.

The antibiotics are for an infection which apparently lives in the vagina which doesn't show any symptoms but it was affecting DHs sperm DNA and quality which is strongly linked to causing MCs. So we're both on a 2 week course. Should finish the course around Ov this cycle. This was all found through the private clinic.

Definitely worth getting your men tested for sperm quality and DNA fragmentation if you have the funds. Just in case it's them. So much focus is on the woman but often it is the man causing the unexplained infertility or MCs.

Fx for all of you still trying this cycle!

BettySwoll0cks · 24/04/2019 19:24

Hi @InDreamland, are you on the private system in the UK? Do you mind me asking if it's extortionately expensive? I feel so let down by the NHS since I found out they 'lost' my referral to the RMC, setting me back another 5 months. I'm thinking about investigating going private too.

Pegase · 24/04/2019 19:44

I would also like to know about going private. Just on CD 0.5 today (period just started now so is today CD1 or tomorrow?!) after what was only a 9 day luteal phase. Can't be good.

Hi everyone by the way! Have been trying to put TTC to the back of my mind over Easter to enjoy the break (although now rubbish that 1st 'real' cycle after mc2 was not successful)

InDreamland · 24/04/2019 20:04

@BettySwoll0cks that's si annoying they lost your paperwork. I'd be mightily pi55ed off! I am in the UK and use a London clinic.

@Pegase I always count as CD1 even if I start in the evening, not sure if I'm right to do that though.

Attaching the price list for the clinic I go to here for you x

InDreamland · 24/04/2019 20:07

We're 10 weeks away from July. When was everyone due? My baby was due 16th July. On the 1 year anniversary of the first loss.

Kinsters · 24/04/2019 23:52

Temps still flat over here and just feeling usual luteal phase symptoms. After the chemical the other month I know my ICs are really really not sensitive so there's no point peeing on them (although I have of course lol).

Sorry you're still having a hard time InDreamland. My due date should have been 22 July, I'll probably try and forget about it tbh. That's great that you've both got some antibiotics, hopefully they'll do the trick.

That's terrible that they lost your referral Betty. Hopefully you don't end up waiting as long as you think you'll have to.

Pegase I know some people only count the day AF starts as CD1 if AF starts before lunch or something like that. Personally I just count as CD1 whatever time it starts.

The July 19ers - The rollercoaster continues, scream if you wanna go faster
Bentley111 · 25/04/2019 08:13

@InDreamland my due date would have been 5th July, 6 days before our 1st wedding anniversary. Hoping the antib's work for you.
Price list is interesting - if we aren't successful this cycle I would like DH to get his sperm tested. @Kinsters was it you who shared the article that stated over 70% of mc was due to men?

@Pegase sorry to hear that AF turned up. I had a 9 day LP the first cycle after my mc, I think it's completely normal (although shit). I always count AF as CD1 regardless of whether it arrives day or night... I didn't realise that wasn't right?

BettySwoll0cks · 25/04/2019 09:16

@InDreamland thanks for that, I was recommended Mr Atalla at the Lister as he's really successful so coincidentally that's where I was thinking about trying to go. He does a Clexane/progesterone protocol which is v effective apparently.

Kinsters · 25/04/2019 09:27

Oo I don't remember Bentley. I posted an article about how dna damage to sperm has a bigger effect on miscarriages than previously though.

Bentley111 · 25/04/2019 09:50

@Kin that's the one I think.
Just booked Royal Ascot for DH's birthday present. If I am pregnant, it will be a nice day out... and if I'm not, something to look forward to Grin

Kinsters · 26/04/2019 03:55

Oo Royal Ascot will be nice Bentley

Look how lovely and stable my temperatures are! I don't think it means anything but it's nice to see anyway. Hopefully this is the month...

The July 19ers - The rollercoaster continues, scream if you wanna go faster
BettySwoll0cks · 26/04/2019 07:19

@Kinsters very pretty! If nothing else, encouraging that your hormone levels are doing what they should!

@Bentley111 there's a statistic along those lines in It Starts With the Egg. Something about 70% of fertilised eggs don't make it overall although the majority aren't known about because they happen so early. I'll look it up shortly and send you a pic.

InDreamland · 26/04/2019 08:49

If not trying to forget our due dates what are you planning on doing? I'm gonna try take the day off work like I did for baby no.1 as I'll be no use to anyone.

@BettySwoll0cks I have found the Lister really good. They do test both of you and if you want to go further will do the DNA testing on his swimmers too which we found worth every penny given we have a possible cause of the 2 mc's now. Do give them a try if you can.

@Bentley111 ascot will be amazing. I've always wanted to go but never got around to it.
