Great news on your scans @Buggles1 @Tigsyboo

Thanks @Buggles1. I'm nearing the point of losing all hope.

@Rose68 they don't recommend because it not actually widely accepted in the medical profession so is seen still as not conclusive in terms of research as something that does cause mc. Then if it is found to be something I do have which is so rare it's unlikely then the treatment itself carries risks.

AF is lighter this month. I think I'm broken/damaged and this will never happen. Feel like being reckless and blowing all our savings I had for when I took mat leave and first couple of years supporting our baby.

InDreamland · 27/03/2019 08:23

@ratherbeshowjumping could you step away from Facebook? Since our first mc in July last year I've been on probably 3 times but not looked at my newsfeed, literally just posted on baby loss awareness and wave of light then checked birthday messages. I cannot face seeing everyone's supposedly perfect lives with pregnancy and birth announcements - I've chosen to be ignorant of their news for self preservation.

Kinsters · 28/03/2019 07:04

Wow rather that's very strange. Who posts pics of sticks they've peed on?! I hope it works out for her but 7 weeks is really very early to announce (as we all sadly know).

InDreamland I don't know what to suggest, I know the feeling of fearing that you're broken/defective and it'll never happen. I was in a really rubbish place after my Drs appointment where she said my lining looked thin. It's not nice. I'd go for the NK tests if I were you.

My chart is so similar to last month! Almost identical post ovulation. I've also been bitten by mosquitos again so wondering if it's a luteal phase thing cause there's no way I'm pregnant this cycle. Also included a picture of my cat just cause she's cute 😍

TwittleBee · 28/03/2019 07:18

kin that chart is like a complete match for last cycles! And very adorable cat too!

Kinsters · 28/03/2019 07:21

I know Twittle, it's so weird how consistent they are! How is everything with you? You must be well into the second trimester now?

TwittleBee · 28/03/2019 07:28

It's a shame there's no way you reckon you have a chance this month kin . How's next cycle looking?

Yeah 15 weeks now and finding out the sex in a week's time. Also found myself a new job too that know I'm pregnant so that's a relief after being made redundant.

Kinsters · 28/03/2019 07:36

That's amazing about the job! Congratulations! I guess you'll have a boy, no reason for that, I just like guessing!

Next cycle I'm not sure, DH travels away so much. Basically his job is in a city 4 hours away so he's gone most of the week. We're considering moving up to where he works which would be great (although further from his family who we're very close to). In fact it would be the first time DH and I have lived "alone" i.e. no housemates/other family and no going for dinner at his dad's every night (we live in a house just us at the moment but see his dad every evening and weekend).

ratherbeshowjumping · 28/03/2019 08:42

Honestly @Kinsters it's the weirdest thing - poor thing, I hope she doesn't have to announce that she's lost it!

Ps your cat is gorgeous 😍 gingers are my favourite.
This was my horse this morning, very sure that my phone needed to be eaten 😂

Huge congrats on the job @TwittleBee! How are you feeling in yourself?

Sorry you're really so shit @Kinsters.

@Pegase How are you getting on?

Close friends due date today... feeling a bit rubbish, so my best friend has organised a night out for just us on the weekend which I'm really looking forward to. Haven't been on a girls night out since my hen party in May so it's long long overdue 👏🏼

The July 19ers - The rollercoaster continues, scream if you wanna go faster
ratherbeshowjumping · 28/03/2019 08:43

Not sure why everything's come out bold... but if we are guessing gender, I'm voting a boy too for Baby Twittle the 2nd 🤞🏼

Kinsters · 28/03/2019 09:03

Such a nice looking nose! I'm a bit scared of horses but their noses look so inviting to rub! That's nice that you've got a night out planned. I think it's important to have these "not pregnant" things to look forward to, even if we'd rather not be able to do them.

ratherbeshowjumping · 28/03/2019 16:07

Thank you Kin, I think so too, but aware that I'm slightly biased.

4dpo & my awful achy leg cramps have started. Such a shame as I thought we timed it really well this monthSad

ratherbeshowjumping · 29/03/2019 00:45

I feel so miserable - a girl who rents a stable off of me, who I see at my yard every single day announced her pregnancy today. Completely irrelevant but she hadn't even met him when I was pregnant.

Ffs.

Kinsters · 29/03/2019 02:39

Oh no rather, totally understandable that you feel shit about that.

Symptom spotting at 4dpo is a road to nowhere! If you've made a blastocyst it'll be floating around in your fallopian tubes or uterus right now with your body totally oblivious. I've put my two definite pregnancy charts side by side with my definitely not pregnant chart and up until today (9dpo) they're pretty much identical! I'm expecting an even bigger dip on this cycle's chart tomorrow. Anyway, at 4dpo you really can't know so don't count youself out. Do feel free to wallow though, TTC sucks. I've found it quite refreshing to have a month off (wouldn't do it again unless I had no choice but for me this enforced month off has been good).

The July 19ers - The rollercoaster continues, scream if you wanna go faster
ratherbeshowjumping · 29/03/2019 07:52

I know symptom spotting is the worst, and I know at 4dpo it's highly unlikely for anything to be significant but it's so disheartening knowing that the only time I never had achy legs was when I pregnant. Oh well, we'll soon find out next week.

That's really interesting re the charts. I cannot believe how similar they are! Was the purple one the chemical?

@BettySwoll0cks how are you getting on with your OvuSense? I'm tempted to get one if this cycle doesn't work out.

TwittleBee · 29/03/2019 07:56

I'm also thinking it's a boy too! DH thinks a girl.

That is a tricky decision Kin of family is really a big part of your lifestyles! And 4 hours is a big move. Would his family be able to move too or is that not possible? Bit much to ask of them I guess

rather a night out sounds great! Hope it's a brilliant time! Sounds like you need it after that pregnancy announcement too.

Rose68 · 29/03/2019 12:46

@Twittlebee I am also thinking it’s a boy. It will be great for your DS if it is. I do think same sex siblings have a special bond. My 2 boys do fight, but they also play together for hours and they do miss each other when one is away.

@Ratherbe, you definitely can’t tell at 4dpo. Any symptoms you have or don’t have will just be due to your changing progesterone levels.

@Kinsters I think that is a tricky one, I think you guys need to work out what is best for both of you long term. My DH is away a lot with work and I do find it hard, but I guess it depends on the life you have made for yourself where you are.

I am just waiting for AF to arrive, and we are going skiing a week tomorrow! Yay! I am bringing myself into the 21st century and looking at skiing apps. I have never had any way of tracking where I have been or how fast I am going, so this is exciting stuff. @Kinsters do you use a skiing app?

InDreamland · 29/03/2019 15:35

Thanks @Kinsters. I'm now thinking the focus had shifted ......

So ..........DH finally got his DNA fragmentation results. Doesn't look good and there is apparently a strong link with mc's. Low quality plus not enough good quality swimmers. My head is all over the place! Recommendation is IVF with ICSI or he sees a urologist to hopefully get medication to help with sperm quality. I've told him he must get appointment asap with private urologist plus our GP. I have so many emotions right now and with mothers day this weekend I'm so emotional.

@ratherbeshowjumping that is not what you needed. Definitely need a night out after that baby bomb.

@Rose68 enjoy skiing! I've never skied ever!

edidxb · 30/03/2019 03:33

Hi all,
Sorry, it's been a week since I posted, and what a week! I had year 11 prom on Friday night and managed to stay out until 10pm. I was SO tired.
I fainted at work.
We had HRH Prince Edward visit school (long story but v excited as I got to shake his hand and have a little chat). No photo of me doing it though so v sad about that.
Then my DH went away to the UK for work.
And now my Mum is here to visit!

Just been trying to catch up. Congrats @buggles and @tigsy on successful scans. I am so so happy for you.
@indreamland - I'm sorry the sperm results don't seem result. The only good thing is that you know now and can try and pave a path forward? Good luck with getting DH to that appointment.
@rose68 - have an amazing time skiing. Where are you going? I think I am too scared to ski these days - maybe I coud do a green run but not much more!
@twittlebee - congratulations on your new job. I am so so happy for you as I know that must have been so stressful. 15 weeks - wow!
@ratherbe - hope you are OK. I love you horse so much!
@kinsters - how are you now you've had a month off? Will the timing next month be OK?

Love to all.

BettySwoll0cks · 30/03/2019 06:29

Morning all, @ratherbe the ovusense thing is funny. It's good for me because I know the temps are accurate despite broken sleep (although, tempting fate, I seem to have managed to get DS sleeping through....) but for me it hasn't told me anything new just confirmed that I Ov like clockwork on CD15/16. The app is a bit rubbish (you can't log anything except temp) so I just transfer the bbt over to my OvaGraph app which I love. I'm going to keep doing it for another couple of months because I've started on the supplement plan from It Starts with the Egg and I want to see whether that disrupts my cycles at all x

Kinsters · 31/03/2019 11:08

InDreamland glad you've got some answers (though sorry it wasn't good news). How is your DH taking it? I remember you saying you wouldn't do ivf. There are definitely things he can do to improve his sperm.

Rose yay for skiing! I didn't use an app but a couple of the guys on the holiday used strava to measure their speed... the fastest got up to 118kmph on skis!! Hope you have a great time.

Edidxb oh no about fainting at work! I assume they know you're pregnant now? Lucky you getting to meet Prince Edward! I'm definitely a royalist at heart.

Betty I think I'd have the same issue with ovusense, I ovulate pretty regularly so not sure if it's worth the investment. That's great that DS is sleeping better.

We're pretty much decided that we'll start making plans to move cities. FIL is very keen as he thinks it will be good for DH's career and that the place we'd move to would be better for us to start a family.

This month off has just been really relaxed. I've loved not checking the pregnancy points on fertility friends all the time and obsessing over every "symptom". I don't think I can maintain that zen when there's a possibility of pregnancy. I wish I could though!

Kinsters · 31/03/2019 11:11

Oh and I meant to say I'm 11dpo today and still no AF so fingers crossed my luteal phase has got a bit longer (I used to spot on 10dpo and CD1 at 11dpo so 10 day luteal phase which I worried was too short).

DartmoorDoughnut · 31/03/2019 20:09

Hey guys, hope everyone is ok? I’m trying desperately to catch up, got in a bit of a funk last month about not being pregnant so hid the thread 🙈

The one thing I managed to retain is Twittle that is fab news about the job and the second tri!

I’m due on in a few days and obvs hoping the witch won’t turn up.

Really hope today hasn’t been too hard for everyone

Kinsters · 01/04/2019 06:37

Hey dartmoor hopefully this is your month! Yesterday was fine for me, its not mother's day in Asia plus we kind of ignore the holiday since DH's mum died. I've also noticed that many people doing "happy mothers day" posts on social media have included a little bit about those who may not be so happy. The attached was my favourite - with the caption "HMD to those that celebrate, love and light to those that lament." I thought it was a nice sentiment.

My ovulation is looking like it might be at the weekend next cycle so should be in with a chance!

The July 19ers - The rollercoaster continues, scream if you wanna go faster
Bentley11 · 01/04/2019 09:02

Morning everyone, it's ratherbe, decided to have a bit of a name change 😊

Hope everyone was OK yesterday - must be especially awful for those who have lost mums/mils... big hug to you @Kinsters xx

Had a really nice evening on Saturday. Being back in Bristol was fab, my BF & I had a nice meal, some cocktails & just had a much needed 24hrs chatting!

My other BF had her baby on Saturday morning. Due to go and meet him on Friday. Bricking it...

8dpo... feeling as if AF might come early, lots of horrible cramps (so chances are we are out).

@BettySwoll0cks it sounds like it may be worth a purchase. My issue is not taking my temp as soon as I'm up... I snooze or forget so not consistent... which it sounds like it may overcome. Will look into Ovagraph too. Thank you x

@edidxb how exciting! Lucky you. Sorry to hear you fainted at work, must have been awful. Do they know yet?

Kinsters · 01/04/2019 14:12

Thanks Bentley (it'll take a while to get used to the name change!). It's not too hard a day as it's very easy to ignore here. I do feel very sad for my DH and the life that could have been though. It changes you as a person.

Fx for you this month! Are you planning on testing early? I miss Bristol and its cocktail bars! I used to love going to a couple of "secret" ones which did really great cocktails. And also had the best strawberry mojito in my life at Start the Bus! Nothing has ever come close to that...

No period today so my luteal phase is looking great! I've gone from 10 days (with spotting earlier than that) when I first started tracking to 12-13 days the last few cycles. The only thing I can think that's done it is the pregnacare (unless it's all just my body adjusting post IUD). Irritatingly I can't buy pregnacare over here and my supply is running out - I'll have to ask FIL to buy some cause he's visiting london soon!
