I was so sure. Now I'm wondering if these purple ones are rubbish

the green ones arent too much on amazon, but like I said I am not too sure about them anyway and I dont have PCOS!

Frazzlerock · 04/02/2019 14:32

I meant to say @Betty go for it!!

I have the green ones from amazon and didn't see the purple ones. I think I bought 90 in about April last year and I still have a few left but not many. But I found I used them as back up for the CB and also Boots OPK which I like too.
I would say the purple and green are much of a muchness? But @Frazzle - that is such a strong line! I don't have PCOS although I have read about it and I understand how you can get the LH surges and then nothing happens.......but with such a strong line?? I am thinking positive vibes for you xxx

BettySwoll0cks · 04/02/2019 14:48

I've never had an OPK show up stronger than the control line @Frazzle, but I get very consistent results with the green ones. They are really cheap too.

Frazzlerock · 04/02/2019 14:56

Well this is why I questioned the reliability of the purple ones given the test line is stronger than the control line but still seems to be a red herring thus far.... I've been using these last cycle and this cycle and never had such a dark line Confused. But then I do wonder if my body is trying hard to release an egg so showing all the signs and producing the LH hormone as its supposed to, but then it can't get through the follicle... Maybe tomorrow's temp will give me some kind of clarity

The purple ones are also super cheap but from Ebay. I think I paid about £3.50 for 20. Perhaps I will try the green ones next time. Anyone got a link to the ones they use?

TwittleBee · 04/02/2019 14:59

Frazzle it isnt uncommon to get a line darker than the control though, just means you POAS at the very peak of LH surge I should imagine. So frustrating though that you have proof that your ovaries are trying but stupid PCOS is getting in the way!!!! FX you see a temp rise tomorrow etc though! You never know.

Frazzlerock · 04/02/2019 14:59

Also, which pre seed are you guys using?
I'm using the Baby Start one currently, but I'm not convinced it works given I used it bang on time last cycle. I used Conceive Plus in my preg cycle (IIRC)

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 04/02/2019 15:00

Conceive Plus is the fertility lube I have only ever used

BettySwoll0cks · 04/02/2019 15:06

I use this one (I say that, I only used it once and got pg...)

ratherbeshowjumping · 04/02/2019 15:07

The one Betty has is the one we used when we conceived... did an @edidxb & only dtd once that month too 👍🏼

Frazzlerock · 04/02/2019 15:10

A I see the difference @Twittle! The purple ones are more sensitive as 10MIU (just checked the Ebay listing), the green ones are 20. I don't know if it's best to have them as sensitive as 10MIU though Confused Perhaps that is why my line yesterday was so dark, though normally it is pale or not there so something must have happened yesterday, even if the egg didn't manage to get out

OP posts:
Frazzlerock · 04/02/2019 15:12

@Rather and @Betty does it come with applicators/ready filled applicators?

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 04/02/2019 15:12

ah that could be it! Catching any hormone changes maybe Frazzle !?

ratherbeshowjumping · 04/02/2019 15:20

@Frazzlerock it comes with applicators although apart from the, um, turkey baster scenario we've used it just like a regular lube.

BettySwoll0cks · 04/02/2019 15:24

I only used half (ish) the recommended amount @Frazzle. Any more than that and I'd have slid off the bed 😂

Frazzlerock · 04/02/2019 15:28

Right, thanks ladies. I will go and buy some of that pre seed then. Not sure what to do about the OPKs, I will just power through until they are gone and then buy the green ones

ratherbeshowjumping · 04/02/2019 15:28

Agree with you Betty 😂 and it comes out really fast. I accidentally squirted it all over DHs belly 😩🙈

Frazzlerock · 04/02/2019 15:31

@Betty that is a hilarious image Grin

OP posts:
BettySwoll0cks · 04/02/2019 15:36

@rather that's brilliant, I like anything that keeps it lighthearted

TwittleBee · 04/02/2019 15:38

Betty I like it light hearted too on occasion but DH gets so bloomin offended that I dare not make a joke or even slightly laugh now! He has been known to walk out mid-sex because I have been too jokey! Ooops!

edidxb · 04/02/2019 15:53

@frazzle I forgot to say - that's great you don't need surgery.

I also like it light hearted.....

I told DH tonight and his first comment was "here we go again......" and I know exactly how he feels!

Good luck @frazzle and @betty tonight
Good luck @kinsters for testing tomorrow - I am feeling positive for you
Good luck @rose68 for testing/waiting too.
Good luck @tigsy - hope it went well today

@ratherbe - hahahahaha!!!!

Frazzlerock · 04/02/2019 16:05

@edidxb I think DP and I will be the same with 'Here we go again' when/if we get a BFP. It is hard to get excited isn't it.
Fingers crossed all goes well this time! xx
