Thanks for the tip @tigsyboo - will do that when I finally get called. I thought there was some sort of best practice where people suffering miscarriage are not sent back to sit with people who are still pregnant but yet here I am waiting.

Sorry for massive negativity being the first repeat loss since we joined this thread.

tigsyboo · 22/02/2019 09:52

@Pegase we are all here for you 100% xx

Frazzlerock · 22/02/2019 09:56

Why on earth are you apologising @Pegase!

As @Tigsy has said, we are all here for you. Please ask to be seated somewhere else xx

So sorry Pegase, that's really horrible and unfair.

TwittleBee · 22/02/2019 09:57

I am so so so sorry Pegase - they really might not tell you to just wait it out, my sac only had a yolk in and they were very supportive of my ERPC decision. It is so hard that they then make you go and sit with pregnant women isnt it - the EPU just hasnt the right balance at all, really should be separated better

Rose68 · 22/02/2019 10:14

@Pegase I am so so sorry. They really can’t make you wait it out if you don’t want to xxx

Rose68 · 22/02/2019 10:16

I told them I wanted to go the fastest route & she straight away booked me in for an ERPC x

Pegase · 22/02/2019 10:18

Well apparently as only 3 days since last scan, they are not allowed to officially confirm miscarriage despite the fact I am over 7 weeks with empty gestational sac. I managed to get provisionally booked in for surgical management next Wednesday when it will have been a week, after having a scan first on Tuesday however as I said to the nurse we both know this is hopeless and you are just following procedure.

TwittleBee · 22/02/2019 10:30

Ah that is good they can at least book yo in so quickly for it though Pegase (I had to wait 2.5 weeks for mine). I am so sorry though that you are having to go through this Sad I am so heartbroken for you. I hope you can have a good weekend despite everything

tigsyboo · 22/02/2019 10:38

NHS PROCEDURES SUCK!!!!!!!! 🤬

Frazzlerock · 22/02/2019 10:49

I can't believe how long you had to wait for yours @Twittle. My first one was offered next day but I declined as I wasn't ready to let go of my baby. So it was booked for a few days later. It was up to me really. This was NHS too. With our most recent one I was offered the surgery for a couple of days later. And these are two completely different areas. My first was in SW London and my recent one was in Tunbridge Wells.
I don't understand why some hospitals procedures are so different. It's unbelievably cruel to be left waiting Sad

tigsyboo · 22/02/2019 11:03

I waited 4 days but would have been longer but I kicked off x

Pegase · 22/02/2019 11:51

2.5 weeks! I would have no mental health left by then!

I am joining the temping crew when things back to normal- had ordered a thermometer already by the time by BFP came so that will give me something new to worry about!!!!

InDreamland · 22/02/2019 13:43

Oh @Pegase Flowers I'm so sorry you're going through this. There are no words to describe how shit this is. Flowers

BettySwoll0cks · 22/02/2019 13:49

So sorry @Pegase. From my experience it's not worth waiting any longer than you have to. With both my losses that I've needed treatment for, a tiny fetal pole has developed during the wait for that second scan and they have refused to manage the end of the pregnancy until it 'died' by itself (I'm so sorry to put it that way, I can't think of any other way to say it) They called it questionable viability - although we all knew it was too little growth too late - and hospital protocols won't allow them to do medical or surgical management while there's a heartbeat 😔

Buggles1 · 22/02/2019 16:53

Sorry to hear your news @pegase. Sending you hugs.
The NHS is a great concept but the reality always seems to be pretty shit. I could have had ERPC the day after the scan but... because they made me ‘go home to think about things’ (even though I told them what I wanted then and there) and call them back later that day... I lost the slot and had to wait a further 3 days. This meant I started to naturally mc which was absolutely awful and totally unnecessary.
I’m also annoyed with the ‘having to wait for three babies to die’ approach they take before getting any answers (especially as you age and your chances are diminishing anyhow).

Rose68 · 22/02/2019 17:10

2.5 weeks must have been hell, I remember you going through it @Twittlebee, and I still can’t believe you had to go through that.
I told them I wanted it done as soon as possible, preferably that day, but I only had to wait until the next day, which was long enough. Having said that I did find out at a private scan that our baby wasn’t viable and that was on the Friday and I had to wait until the Monday to get seen by the epu, so I still had a 4 day wait.

@Pegase will you have any testing done this time? Sending you much love and hugs x

Pegase · 22/02/2019 17:13

No tests as 'only' my second mc. Am making sure I register each pregnancy for booking in etc with the hospital so there is 'proof' of my mcs if I get to the recurrent mc testing stage.

ratherbeshowjumping · 22/02/2019 17:16

Just catching up, been such a manic day,
@Pegase I'm so, so, so sorry to hear your news. Everyone else seems much more qualified to give you better advice than I can, but just know I'm thinking of you. Sending lots of love to you & DH xxxx

Kinsters · 23/02/2019 02:32

I don't think I ovulated and now I'm second guessing whether my OPK was positive or not. I normally ovulate CD14 at the latest so after last months long luteal phase it seems like my whole cycle is lengthening. Hopefully when the egg does come out it's a good one!

Thinking of you Pegase Flowers

Hi all.
Just been catching up. So sorry @pegase. I hope Tuesday comes round quickly for you.
The 1st my I had they never even mentioned a surgical procedure to me. Just told me to go away and wait. I was at 10 weeks but had died at 8 and a half. It then took another week until I had to go to hospital in an ambulance at 10pm screaming in agony. It was the most traumatic thing I ever went through. The 2nd time I went into hospital the next day.

I am no home after a week away. We went to South Africa which is a good 10 hour plane journey from Dubai. This is the holiday we had the argument about which was booked before the BFP. So DH did some wine tasting and I did the driving. I don't want to sound ungrateful here at all and I totally appreciate being able to fly to South Africa for a week but if I am honest I would have rather had a week off at home. It's such a stupid thing to argue about but most of DH and mine arguments are about holidays! I am much more of a home body. But thankfully we got back home at 3am this morning and I still have today off work before the week starts again next week and it's another half term to get through!!!
Anyway, enough of the woe is me chat.
I've tried to keep up with the news briefly whilst away but hope everyone is generally ok xxx

Rose68 · 23/02/2019 10:33

@Kinsters do you have a photo of your opk? I thought you said your temps would be lower because of the travelling? x

Rose68 · 23/02/2019 10:35

@Edidxb it’s knackering being pregnant, and travelling in the early stages of pregnancy is really hard work. I hope you are okay x

Kinsters · 23/02/2019 11:56

No photo and now it's in the bin. I expected a couple of days of low temps like I had going the other way a couple of days high but it's lasted a bit long to be jet lag.

edi is there a time diff? I found early pregnancy felt like jetlag so combining the two would be awful!

Kinsters · 23/02/2019 15:27

Finally DH gets an idea of what I put up with at work everyday!! We went out to a colleagues wedding dinner so he got to see how everyone ignores me and just speaks Mandarin, answers my attempts at conversation with one word, etc. He said they weren't really saying much in Mandarin and he thinks they're just boring people in general rather than just saving their interesting conversation for when they speak Chinese. I felt he sometimes didn't really believe how awful I find my work because his workplace isn't like that at all, but now he gets it!
