Yammers thread 10!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shalt not be offended by strong language

• Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

• Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

@NoseringGirl I normally peak around cd15/16 so there's still time 🤞 how's your temps looking?

So little update on me. I'm having a cycle off now I've ditched all the vits and pills. I've been finding it all really difficult lately and tbh I think it's a mater of convincing dp we need IVF. I've had 4 unsuccessful clomid cycles, 2 unsuccessful letrozole cycles, nearly 2 years of trying in total and 1 chemical pregnancy about 9 months ago. My periods are very light and more or less regular I have 1 last set of blood tests with the nhs and then they're kind of done with us. I don't think I'll ever be ready to say ok enoughs enough but this is getting harder every month 🤷🏻‍♀️ x

@noseringgirl managed to have both tests, pretty unpleasant but no issues found which is good. Back to clinic in Dec and if no BFP by then it's a referral for IVF. The wait continues....

@justbeingelle I've had quite a few internal ultrasounds now, as pp said it's just to check womb and ovaries look normal. I've not found them painful, a little discomfort occasionally. Good luck with the tests x

@MorgenMuffel glad the tests went okay! There's so much just waiting around involved in TTC! Hope you get that BFP before your next appointment.

@impatientmammy my temps have been creeping up but still very low.
You've had such a tough time. Hopefully a cycle off all the stress of it will give you a mental break. It can all get too much sometimes.

Still no peak on the digital here. The regular OPKs are getting darker though so maybe I'll get a peak soon. Trying not to lose hope!

@noseringgirl thabks. Let's hope the holiday does the trick

@NoseringGirl any sign? I hope the stress of all these peaks isn't delaying your ovulation 😩 x

After 8 days of high, I finally got a peak this morning! So excited!! I dipped a cheapie OPK at the same time to compare and it wasn't positive but it was as dark as they ever get for me. So weird! Especially as I read the digitals need more LH than the cheapies to show positive. It made my day though, very relieved!

I'm looking into booking ivf now just trying to work out the practicalities with DPs job. I feel tottally ready for that stage of things so I'll be really excited if we can do it x

@impatientmammy would your DP be able to book time off for it? Are you looking at doing it here or abroad?

Planning to use abc ivf in Manchester. He doesn't get holiday as he's 3 weeks on 3 off or there abouts so he get lots of time off and to come home early would require them to bring the ship back to port sooner and cost the company money x

@impatientmammy ahh I see, hopefully the IVF clinic will find a schedule to help you work around that then. Must be exciting to get the ball rolling!

My temps have been rising so fairly sure I'm in the TWW now. Anyone else? FF has me at 3DPO. Going to try not to test ridiculously early!

I'm at flashing smilies @NoseringGirl I'm on a no try cycle but have decided to get back on the clearblue incase the clinic wants to know what's going on. I'm glad your sticks and temps are agreeing with eachother 🤞 you don't need to buy anymore. X

@impatientmammy are you just going to be off the vitamins etc or are you going to actively avoid any trying in your fertile window?
I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much but this cycle seems to be going well for me so far. Even if it ends with AF, it'll be nice to have a regular length cycle!

OH is away @NoseringGirl so he left on the last day of my last cycle and he gets back the day after af is due. Going to start dieting and taking what ever vits they suggest after my appointment though. Do you know how long your luteal phase is? I'm pleased your having a more posative cycle so far x

@impatientmammy ahh yes! Sorry! I've got such a terrible memory!
My LP is usually 10 days, I get AF on 11DPO.

Ahhh it's ok I really struggle to keep up with everyone's storeys too x

Back from hols and now in my tww. Am hoping this might be the cycle for my BFP after having my HSG and the anecdotal evidence it can increase chances as well as being away and so relaxed....

Obviously I didn't avoid testing I've tested like crazy the last few days. All BFNs apart from a couple of questionable cheap blue dyes that I don't trust at all. AF was due yesterday but hasn't arrived. I definitely think it's coming today though!

Think this is going to be a long TWW as I've irrationally decided if I don't get my BFP this month then I never will naturally so going to be symptom spotting like crazy. I purposely don't keep tests in the house so I can't POAS early! AF due 28th....

Thanks girls on the way now still about an hour and a half away. I'm really nervous and feeling sick my printer broke so I don't have hard copies of paperwork and OH is away so going with my sister which the clinic isn't ecstatic about but they have said they understand as if we don't start ivf in the next 3 months I have to pay another £190 for scans and initial tests 🤷🏻‍♀️ thinking of you all today girls x

@impatientmammy how did it go?

I've just had a faint positive on a pink dye! I can't get excited though as I'm worried it should be darker for 12DPO and I've had 3 chemicals now that were all faint positives later than expected that never developed. Will just have to see what happens...
