Yammers thread 10!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shalt not be offended by strong language

• Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

• Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

@impatientmammy my opening is a little titled and my notes say I've got an anteverted uterus which is tilting forward (the most common type) but it's made no difference... re being open I'm not sure sorry x

@NoseringGirl oh wow! I'd didn't know you had two, for some reason I thought just the one 🥰 don't feel weird about asking for help at all, they should be able to do something, even if it's just bloods xx

@Noseringgirl Sorry to hear and I hope you do get some help with investigations. At the end of the day this is a medical issue regardless of whether someone has conceived before or not.

@dragonmummy17 Ah I'm sure you will be seen sooner then, I am 34 so I think may be in for a longer wait. Regardless I think I'll chase up the referral if I haven't heard anything in a few weeks. My cycles are always on the shorter side (average 24 days) but I did have a 20 day cycle where I ovulated super early on day 8. I was taking herbal prescription from herbalist then so that may have explained it.

Nothing new here except af has ended. Onto the joys of timetabled sex ;)

@Noseringgirl how are you doing?

@dragonmummy17 still in limbo! FF is saying I'm 16DPO but I can't be, just waiting to see what happens. Time is going very slowly with it though!

@NoseringGirl that sounds so frustrating... sorry you are still in limbo. Are you still testing?

Super sad today, friend gave birth at the weekend, another announced pregnancy. And today is the one year anniversary of having my implant out, I was so hopefull back then, little did I know

@Lilzpk sorry you were baby bombed. Its so hard when that happens

@Lilzpk sounds like a rough time for you. I hope you're managing to do something nice for yourself.

I started getting faint positives again (not that I trusted it!) but then AF arrived yesterday. It started out light and my temps have continued rising, including really shooting up today but the bleeding got really heavy around mid morning so I think I'm out now. Feeling very sorry for myself.

Thanks ladies, myself and oh are just finding it really hard, there's pregnant couples all around us, family friends colleagues, im sure it happens to a lot of people, but my two best friends are expecting and oh's brother and it's lovely but torture at the same time.

@NoseringGirl, I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through. I hope you're managing some good self care and have support. I can't imagine the stress of the temps saying one thing and the bleeding another. Is it definitely af do you think? Will you just wait and see what happens or maybe get bloods done by the gp?

@Lilzpk I know what you mean about being surrounded by pregnant women! A colleague just told me she's pregnant and is due when I would've been if I hadn't had the chemical at the end of June. It was heartbreaking. I'm happy for her but not looking forward to the constant reminder.
I'm going to see how the bleeding goes and test again in the morning but I'm not hopeful. I will probably make another doctors appointment though anyway.

@NoseringGirl I'm sorry. You've had a really hard time recently. I'm glad you are going to see your GP. Look after yourself

@NoseringGirl is it a heavy bleed? My pregnancy tests went negative the second the blood became af like. Sorry your going through this.
Hope you girls are all doing ok. Anyone in the TWW? I forget the torture of it every single time x

Thanks both! Yes the bleeding is really heavy, never had a period this bad. Tested just in case and looks negative now. I've booked my GP appointment but haven't managed to get in until 11th September.
@impatientmammy I hope the TWW passes quickly for you! How many DPO are you?

I dunno @NoseringGirl I've attempted using my cervix as a cheaper way of navigating my cycle this month but it's been high and open since 7dpo when I worked out where the opening was 👍 I'm cd19 of a 27ish day cycle I've had 3 dreams that a got a BFP already I wish I wasn't so bloody obsessive. Hopefully you'll be pregnant again by the time your drs appointment arrives x

I'm in the tww wait at the moment, about 4/5 dpo, I never get any more patient or relaxed about it. I'm a great lover of baths, but have been avoiding them in previous tw waits, it's very cold here the last few days and I'm wondering if I should relax that rule. Anyone have advice?

@Lilzpk the only time I've ever had hot baths I must admit is when I was pregnant with my son (I became very itchy) and he's now a healthy 3 year old. I can only surmise you've been trying a long time and personally I would just have one. I've heard a cold uterus is also bad for fertility whatever that means 🙄
if not can you stick your feet in and have a hot chocolate? I'm not sure of the rules to be honest but I know there's so many I'm sure I break them regularly x

When you testing/ when's af due? I'm due on the 30th and I'm gunna try to not test till after but I'm probably lying to myself x

@Impatientmammy thanks for your experience and advice re: baths. Af flow is due on the 30th for me too, I'm not 100% though, I had a random 10 day luteal phase last cycle. I know myself well enough to know that I'll test before then though, I'm going to try my best to wait until next Tuesday, but I just got a new batch of wonfo tests and I've been known to be impatient myself

AF arrived today so we are officially onto cycle #9 trying to conceive our first baby. I must admit I came home from work and have just pure sobbed. Husband feels helpless bless him but I think I'm just emotionally burnt out by it all. It feels hopeless and impossible and I guess I just find it hard/scary that it's not happening. Everyone seems to be getting pregnant, people are having second and third babies and I just want one :(.

We are booking a GP appointment now even though we are not at the 12 month mark because I just feel so miserable by it all.

@Rosieposy89 tell them you've been trying 12 months or they'll just send you home (from my experience anyway your dr may be better 🤞 also welcome and sorry your here x

Why do fertility trackers cost so fucking much ovusence, Ava bracelet, temp drop. I can't help but feel like they're taking advantage of a really venerable situation 😐 x

@impatientmammy I've looked at them too recently but been put off by the price.
I'm in fw but not much dtd going on as DH has been sick and I'm just plain exhausted. I think after 16 months of trying with 3 week cycles maybe it's ok to take a break for a month?! We dtd once but I'm not hopeful it was anything like the right time!
