@Hoping87 Sorry to hear that 😞 but at least you know and can plan for your next fertile period. Hope you are ok and aren’t too upset.

Hoping87 · 14/04/2019 20:57

I’m fine thanks @Danimarie...had already done those tests whenever it was so knew it was highly unlikely that I was pregnant. Just glad that my cycle was shorter than last time....fingers crossed for a bfp this month or if not hopefully my cycles will continue to get shorter! Xx

Goodyear2019 · 15/04/2019 09:16

@Danimarie I'm right there in the TWW with you...god it's horrible isn't it!!
@Hoping87 sorry about AF, at least the waits over. Is there anything you could try to regulate/shorten your cycles?

Hoping87 · 15/04/2019 10:11

@Goodyear2019 I’m not sure to be honest? I’m gonna see how this cycle goes as technically I suppose I’m only on cycle 3 as this is only my 2nd period since ttc from January...and at least this one was 9 days shorter than last time! X

Tchelsea · 15/04/2019 11:27

@Hoping87 sorry to hear that :(. Really hope your cycles start to regulate soon!

@ImMeantToBeWorking sorry I'm a bit behind with messaging back! Yeah I'm exactly the same literally want to eat everything and my acne came back which I absolutely hate with a passion! AF is due to finish in the next couple of days finally 🙌🏼

@Hoping87 sorry to hear AF has arrived but going with what everyone else has said hoping that your cycles will level out a bit soon!

Hope everyone is ok today!

Tchelsea · 16/04/2019 11:33

Not sure if I've asked this before (brain all over the place), but has anyone used pre-seed?

OP posts:
Goodyear2019 · 16/04/2019 11:36

@Tchelsea I'm using pre-seed, have been for a few months. I ordered it from Amazon.

Tchelsea · 16/04/2019 14:47

@Goodyear2019 have you noticed a difference? Do you think it's worth it?

OP posts:
Goodyear2019 · 16/04/2019 14:59

@Tchelsea I can't really say I notice any difference from using a normal lubricant, I started using it because I wanted to be sure any lubricant we were using was 'sperm friend' which this is. I didn't always use before, but I have been using pre-seed every time we DTD now as I figured it might help and certainly wouldn't hinder things. I would say that using the applicators does take the 'romance' out of it a bit, but then again so does have to schedule DTD around ovulation haha! Oh the glamorous life of TTC!

Tchelsea · 18/04/2019 14:46

@Goodyear2019 Ain't that the truth!! Thanks!!

Hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday weekend!

Goodyear2019 · 19/04/2019 14:51

Have a lovely weekend everyone. Good luck to those in their fertile window and may the time pass quickly for those of us in their TWW haha!

Danimarie · 22/04/2019 11:14

@Goodyear2019 how are you feeling? We are coming to the end of our TWW now...eeekkk!

Goodyear2019 · 22/04/2019 11:47

Hi @Danimarie I'm not holding out much hope. I've had a couple days of very light spotting, which I always get just before AF starts, so I'm fully expecting it to start properly in the next day or so :-(
How are you doing?

Danimarie · 22/04/2019 12:03

I’ve also started spotting this morning, which I sometimes get before AF as well so I’m the same as you. So frustrating isn’t it! I’m just hoping soon we get positive news...

Goodyear2019 · 22/04/2019 14:06

So frustrating!! This was cycle #10 for me, if we don't get some good news in the next couple of weeks I'm going to ask the doctor if there's tests they can run to make sure there's no underlying problems

Goodyear2019 · 23/04/2019 08:53

I'm definitely out this month, AF started this morning :-(

als2912 · 23/04/2019 09:28

@Goodyear2019 oh no, sorry to hear that 🙁

Danimarie · 23/04/2019 10:30

@Goodyear2019 Sorry to hear that 😞 hope you are okay. This part is never easy.

Tchelsea · 23/04/2019 11:23

@Goodyear2019 I'm so sorry to hear that! Can you go to the Dr now and ask? Might help to ease your mind if you have some tests, just to be sure!

OP posts:
Goodyear2019 · 23/04/2019 11:55

Thanks all, I'm bit upset as I always am on first day of AF but I'll be ok. A friend also announced their pregnancy the other day, that's always a bit hard to hear even though I'm really happy for her.

I'm not sure if the Dr will test at the moment. I was there (for a different reason) few months after we started trying, I mentioned that we weren't having any luck, but many of my friends had conceived really quickly. She said that was quite unusual, most couples take up to a year, and it would be after 12 months that they could offer to test. I'm not actually sure what tests they offer and what exactly they check for, I didn't ask much more at that point since it was early days for us.

Tchelsea · 23/04/2019 13:35

@Goodyear2019 Well we're all here for you so if you need to vent or cry please do! I think I'll probably be right there with you if it doesn't happen for us in the next month or so.

Hi, new to Mumsnet and this is my first thread posting. Im not sure what all the abbreviations are atm so I'll just say it all :)

We are trying to conceive first baby. Cycle number 4 but this is the first cycle we used the clear blue ovulation sticks. I started testing on day 11 and got the smiley face on day 15. 4 days post ovulation and I feel okay.

Two week wait now. Period is due next weekend so fingers crossed

Tchelsea · 23/04/2019 13:58

Welcome @Meenabeena! This is definitely a good place to wait out that dreadful wait until AF is due!! I've just ovulated cycle 5 so I'm in TWW as well so we're cycle buddies! How long is your cycle normally?

OP posts:
Meenabeena · 23/04/2019 14:04

Hi @Tchelsea :) Cycle Buddies Fist pump
My cycles are between 28 - 32 days. Last cycle was 28 days. But I have found that since we've started trying my periods and ovulation have been different each month. Or maybe i'm just noticing it more now that we are trying. No ones know their body better than a women trying to get pregnant.
