Af arrived whilst I was away for the wedding so onto cycle 3 it is. Got clearblue OPKs, started temping and got some pre-seed nothing to lose right?!

So I did something stupid and bloody tested 11 DPO...always said I wouldn't and it was a BFN. Least I have that out my system now. So FX now for a normal AF this time and then TTC and be well and truly under way x

@KittieKath really exciting travelling though! I wouldn't worry too much - there's no Zika in Africa yet and women deliver healthy babies there all the time. When I'm visiting I try to eat lots of marmite and drink beer as it apparently puts mosquitos off 🤷‍♀️

Also just been the loo and there was some light pink when I wiped...Serves me right for testing earlier 😣

Hey guys. Just checking in. I've tried not to post much, but currently in the TWW! Currently 7DPO and I'm driving myself crazy with that SSP! Today I'm constantly weeing and had a few cramps so I'm instantly thinking implantation!!

I'm gonna get AF I can just feel It. Wish it would hurry up and arrive so I can crack on to my next cycle and stop waiting for nothing

Every time I've tested previously, AF has shown up right there and then just to rub it in!

@starkid I know bloody typical isn't it, shes nice and early too according to my apps.

@thumper59 Im thinking this is the start, not getting my hopes up it will be anything else. Looks like things might still not be right after the MC. I will definitely be having a drink this weekend ha x

Argh caved and tested with a FRER. 6 days before my period is due tho and it's bfn. Don't think this is my month 😕

@starkid. Thankyou I know I'm my own worst enemy. I'm going to just wait for Monday to roll round now I think that's the only way I can prevent disappointment

@KittieKath my temp is still down on my second dip. If it doesn't go back up tomorrow I think it's too long to be considered a dip and is just a BFN.

I too get that burst of relief when you start a fresh cycle. It's the hope what gets you! 😂

Can somebody do a beginners guide to temping or knows where there is one? Might have to do it next cycle to see where I could have gone wrong

@thumper59 I would buy a basal thermometer from amazon that has 2 decimal places. Make sure you calibrate it when you get it (take your temp 3 times back to back and it should be pretty much the same).
You then take your temperature every morning when you wake up. Ideally the same time (my wake up time varies by an hour and it hasn't been a problem for me)
You then enter that temperature into an app. Fertility Friend is free and good. The app will then work out when you ovulate by a rise in temperature. After a few cycles it will predict when you're likely to ovulate from your temperature. You can also add opks and symptoms into fertility friend which is quite handy!

@thumper59 this is my current temp chart on fertility friend, as you can see I ovulated on the 21st. Tomorrow (three high temps after the low temp) I should get a red cross on the chart to show that I ovulated on 21st.

@FlapJackered that's great Thankyou, yeah I currently have Ovia I think you can put it into that? Just ordered one off eBay. Should I start from the beginning of my next cycle or as soon as I get it?

Think I'll start taking OPKs religiously next cycle too I'm really going to knuckle down!

@thumper59 Completely up to you, if you are already putting your period into Ovia you could start now or if you prefer to start with a new cycle do that. I do really like temping as you know where you are and can relax a bit when you know you have ovulated!

Hello - can I join in please?

After a false start last month we've approached this month a bit more technically but am still getting to grips with abbreviations! Started ov testing at end of ovulation last week so not much data to go on but definitely felt something ovulation related last wed and acted on it!

I'm 32, cycle 2 and hopefully not expecting af next weekend.

Hoping to follow your stories and share my own on this thread - trying not to symptom spot too much but do feel very strange today - full of cold, mouth ulcers and queasiness - but could just be run down?!

It's nice seeing how many cycles it took the thread grads to conceive, around 6-8 months so not ages and ages, but also not as many lucky first timers, makes me feel a bit better at least :)

I was one of the first in this thread, think I joined on thread 2.
I'm really struggling with how long it's taking us... we started trying around two weeks before my bff found out she was pregnant... she gave birth on Saturday and I'm still here, no further.
3 more cycles till we can go see anyone about it too which isn't very comforting.
Someone said earlier that TTC isn't great for the impatient... totally agree!!
Wow that was a bit of a downer! Glad I've got it off my chest tho. Soz guys!

@BabySquid - Yeah I start cycle 6 at the end of the month. It's not fun. But at least most of the ones getting BFP's are before the year mark, which is comforting to see, even if it doesn't happen that way for all of us xx

@starkid it is and I'm so so happy for everyone when they do get their BFP.
