Is this speaking nonsense? Since I put a pic on of my negative OPK it's saying I ovulated the day after my period and I'm due to ovulate on 23rd now? Helpppp

@FlapJackered - Hi, hope you're doing good :) Taking the last lot today. They turned me into a hyperactive maniac for a few hours, like I've downed a vodka red bull. Slightly psychotic. Even make me want to exercise. DH and colleagues have been scared

@thumper59 - sorry I've not used that app before. Clue used to give weird predictions for me when I first started using it, might need a while to get into a rhythm for you. have you been using it long?

I feel like such a part-timer on this thread but there are always so many new posts I can’t keep up!

Currently 9dpo according to Clue app with AF due on Valentines Day. Awesome! Resisting the urge to try an FRER though, just gonna wait and see.

I am good thanks! Not feeling too bad yet but I am told that will kick in in the next week or so. Still very early days though!

@thumper59 how long is your cycle? I think your app is messed up. And when do you normally ovulate? It's still only CD12 so don't get frustrated that opks are still light, surge is called a surge for a reason - it rapidly rises.

Happy saturday ladies! I've just taken my second ever opk and I didn't pee on my hand this time when I tried to pee into a plastic cup... Small steps right?

I've spent the day painting, sanding, polyfillering, sanding and then painting some more, what a day!

@KatBeCool I ovulated around 16th last month I think. I Just inputted into clue and it went a bit Barmy 😐

@TrashKitten10 not yet 😬 I am due to see my sister on Thursday but she is 1.5 years into ttc and on her second ivf so I am a bit nervous of telling her. I was thinking the nice thing to do would be to tell her a day or so before on the phone so she has a chance to process it before I see her on Thursday. What do you think?
I am going to tell my parents on Saturday. I'm so nervous for some reason! No idea why!?

Hi all

We’ve been TTC for 6 months now with our first baby, we are 36 and 38.

I’m after some advice in using the Clearblue digital ovulation sticks, the ones with the circle for no LH surge, the flashing smiley for LH surge and the static smiley for peak.

Who uses these? I find that I from no LH surge, to surge to peak over 3 days.. is this normal?

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

@DayDreamer1707 yup but trying not to think about it, did feel a bit weird earlier though felt sick then came over really hot and sweaty for a few mins but then was fine as soon as I ate

@thumper59 how long have you been off BC for? I didn’t OV until CD19 so god knows what’s happening here but persist with the OPKs and hopefully you will get a positive soon!

@FlapJackered How kind of you to consider your sister when announcing. You obviously know her best but how about texting her instead? Then she doesn't have any pressure to immediately react and can process it on her own before speaking to you. She'll undoubtedly be thrilled for you but I imagine after trying for so long any pregnancy announcement is initially a bit crushing. Telling your parents will be so exciting though! Are you planning any particularly 'special' pregnancy announcement or just to tell them? Not that it's any less special of course will this be their first grandchild? I'm fine thanks, CD 14 and due to ovulate around CD19/20 so I'm preparing for some valentines romance 😂

@random2468 congrats! My tests looked like that and are darker now. We must be expecting around the same time!

I second what you say regarding wishing everyone the best of luck. As I posted here I found out I was pregnany Wednesday night. Im so happy but feel like is so unfair. My best friend is heading into year 6 of TTC and entering yet another round of IVF. Ive been with her on that journey and it breaks my heart. Im not telling friends for a while yet but will be so hard. She will be so pleased for me but Im so upset for her.

Wow! Arrived back to London to see the OH after two weeks, and my temps have dipped slightly and I had what I can only assume is ovulation spotting. Perfect timing!

Good tips re my sister, thank you. It's difficult as I don't want it to be so impersonal that she thinks I am treading on eggshells around her. It's going to be really hard.
I am not sure yet how we will tell my parents. I think probably just blurt it out as I will be so anxious about it! It'll be their second grandchild so I don't know if they'll be that excited, although I am sure will be very happy.

Fab! I am CD 14 today, so a couple of days behind. I am also just back from Africa so was meant to refrain from TTC due to malaria risk, but I just can't bear to let a FW pass me by?! Especially as I would get my BFP just before my birthday if this month is the month.

I had my first ever positive OPK this morning. Apparently in your mid/late 30s (I am very nearly 35) the surge can be shorter and right before or even during ovulation.

My lines have been getting darker for the past couple of days...

@mrsmcntobe I would keep doing the OPKs and Keep DTD for at least 3 days after they go blank. Ov can be up to 48 hours after the positive. Xx

Congratulations @random2468 don't think my line was much stronger than that! I'm now 14 weeks :-)

@thumper59 don't worry too much about when you ovulate. It's totally normal for it to vary cycle to cycle, and it can even be normal to have one or two annovulatory cycles in a year. Mine varied from cd14 to cd19 each month. Annoying but a part of being a woman! Also... You DEFINITELY notice the pregnant stuff more when you're trying. It's a kick in the teeth every time. Now I'm pg I've gone back to not noticing as much, though I'm much more mindful of how other people might perceive me. We did a fb announcement a few days ago and I literally thought to myself, I wonder how many girls ttc are secretly cursing me, and an old friend actually messaged me saying she'd ttc for a couple of years and did I have any advice. It's so so hard when ttc, you do just assume its been a breeze for everyone else. I explained to her the mad 8 cycles of OPKs, temping, arguments about sex, doctors, fertility clinic and the rest!

@starkid are you doing the soy things? Good luck if so! They sound very promising!
