anyone due to be ovulating week starting 21st Jan?

Starting to gear up & hoping this will be a positive month! Anyone else in same cycle week as me?

@2018isanewyear fingers crossed!! We perfectly timed BD this month if I did ovulate when I thought - and for some reason I'm feeling really positive!!

You have far more willpower than me to hold off testing. I symptom spot terribly & test from 10dpo. I really shouldn't have brought a batch load of tests!! It just enables the POAS addiction...

@Plabom we're only 11months in from mc so there is time for me to become an addict yet 😂

Have really achey boobs like realllly but I always do before Af and I know it's too early for pregnancy symptoms anyway... still I can hope 🙄

Hi @Plabom. That's rough you've been TTC for so long - hopefully you won't need the clinic at all though! You hear plenty of stories of people conceiving as soon as they get their clinic appt through 😂 the magic of Sod's law.

@2018isanewyear don't worry about it, for most women the surge is short enough that just the one positive is enough. The only reason I keep going afterwards is because I had a really wacky cycle in November - I had a positive OPK and then still hadn't had a temp rise 3 days later, so did another OPK and it was negative, and then the temp rise came the day after that. So I'll never figure out exactly what happened there, but it must have just been a super long surge, triggered by stress maybe? Have had long surges since then, so I'm getting used to it.

I have a short luteal phase so will test the day AF is due, which will be about 9dpo. Can't wait to crack out the FRERs! I have a good feeling about this cycle too

@mussie I can't believe it's been as long as it has, it's certainly been a rollercoaster. Luckily my friends have had babies in that time so I have little ones in my life to gush over! :)

Can I ask which OPKs you use? I've never managed to get a positive but I have cheapie eBay strips.

Yay for a short LP! Where are you now in your cycle? Sorry if I've missed it if you've already said.

Hi @plabom we just had our first fertility appointment today. I feel really positive after it actually. They discussed DPs erectile dysfunction and the support available, and what tests they will do for me so it feels like all moving forward. Good luck for yours.

@veeboo that's great to hear! We should get our appointment confirmed really soon. Can I ask what questions they asked and how long the appointment lasted? X

@Plabom I just use the ones off amazon, onestep I think they're called. The cheapie ones. Sorry you haven't had a positive, maybe it's just a very very quick surge! I'm 1dpo just now. I like the short LP as there's less time to wait (it is usually about 10 days) but seeing as we're on cycle 7, I'm starting to worry a little that it is TOO short. But we've conceived once in those 7 cycles (early mc), and then two of them we didn't manage to DTD in FW at all so I don't think they really count. So really this is cycle 5, with a 1 in 4 conception rate so far. Trying to convince myself that those are pretty good odds, as long as the next bean sticks!

Hi @plabom it was just over an hour but some of that was waiting around. They will weigh and measure you then ask you and DP general medical questions, how often you dtd and about your muscles. They then made a plan of next steps which we went through with the nurse.

That should say cycles!!

Has any one used the clear blue pink digital ovulation sticks. The one that just detects the LH surge?! What time of day are you taking them as it says in the instructions most people usually test with FMU but I know with the cheap sticks you usually test after fmu as it's better detected then?! So now am confused! Thanks.

I am using these. The instructions say first thing in morning but I’ve been doing it 2nd wee and waiting 4 hours from 1st wee and not drinking too much. It’s hard as always really feel desperate for a wee

@Explorers10 yes I'm always desperate for a wee 😂 I drink a cup of tea on the school run then am bursting by the time I get home! I'll have to stop having one now! As I did see the instructions said just wait 4 hours before testing. That's almost impossible for me 😂. But I don't think I'm getting the true result by doing it first thing. Thanks!!

I know what you mean, I almost forgot while sat on the loo then remembered that I had to wait! I did this last month and it worked. I haven’t yet got a smiley face but testing at 12 today

@Explorers10 I'm hoping with in the next couple of days I get a smiley! This Is my first cycle since stopping breastfeeding my DH so I'm not sure how long my cycle length Is going to be I'm on CD18 now just hoping I haven't missed ovulation!! X

How is everyone getting on?

I already feel like it's dragging and only day 4!!!

My apps (yes I have a few 😩) are all showing different things now I have put a positive opk in. One says 9 days until pregnancy test but that's not when my period is due and other is saying 26 day cycle ( which I have never hAd, normally 28-30) I know I'm over analysing everything and just need to wait to see what happens.

I haven't felt like this for months but I think it's because I know when I ovulated (if i did) where as other months it's been a guessing game

@2018isanewyear I have multiple apps too! I did cull a few last cycle, but I still seem to collect more and more. All of current ones are predicting AF for the 31st, which would be 10dpo. So natural cycles is saying to wait to test until AF is two days late, to make it 12dpo, but I will absolutely not be waiting that long!! I'll test at 10dpo and then probably every morning after that until I get either a BFP or AF. I know NC is just trying to be sensible but I mean really who could wait that long 😂

I'm 3dpo today - only one week to go!

Still no positive opk!!! So frustrated!!! Have I missed it? Or is it just late??! Or am I just not ovulating every month?????? Ffs!

So I am now into the TWW. My app tells me I ovulated yesterday and boy do I know about it - the WORST mittelschmerz pain accompanied with a little spotting. Does anyone else ever experience this?

I did however still manage to dtd last night as well as 2 days, 4 days and 5 days before O, so FX I'm covered.

@Paddypaws91 I had exactly the same yesterday. A little pain and a tiny bit of spotting.

Looks like I'm out already this month! CD17 and my period has arrived.
Think my hormones must still be all over the place after the MC.

Hi all. I think I ovulated Monday so 4dpo now. @chikitiki sorry to hear about your mc. Fx things settle for you this month.

Paddypaws me this month! I normally get a twinge either side but this month I had really painful cramps across my abdomen for a few days. Not sure what it means, hopefully nothing bad!

I'm having 21day bloods on Monday which should confirm if I'm ovulating or not but reslly hoping it's irrelevant. I'm thinking of testing on the 1st 11dpo as I've been doing dry Jan and might need to drown my sorrows if get a BFN.
