Good morning you lovely ladies! Hope everyone's doing ok 😊 CD20 here and about 7dpo. Patiently waiting at the moment...

@Beddie11 I was quite lucky when I came off the pill - had AF nearly when I expected it and wasn't expecting to conceive first cycle, so didn't POAS at all! Not very helpful I don't think, but I'd just wait and see!

stormtrooperjulian · 11/01/2019 08:55

@KittieKath that’s so nice that your DH is taking a proper interest in ttc!

@Random2468 mine is creamy at 7dpo

@KatBeCool sorry AF arrived! I can’t believe the receptionist was so clueless though. Has someone else phoned you back?

@Beddie11 I’d probably POAS now then every couple of weeks until AF started. I’ve heard plenty of stories of women conceiving before their first AF so better to keep checking I guess.

I’m 8dpo now. Still getting the annoying cramping, my boobs felt strangely heavy when I took my bra off last night and I’m having loads of crazy dreams (I don’t usually remember my dreams at all). I hate progesterone symptoms!

stormtrooperjulian · 11/01/2019 08:58

Actually, I just checked Flo, I’m 9dpo. Started feeling a sore throat last night too, still there this morning but feeling fine other than that so hopefully it’s not going to become a full blown cold.
Sorry about the double post!

starkid · 11/01/2019 08:58

Hi everyone,
I had my doc appointment this morning, and despite my medical history (previous surgery near that area, autoimmune disease) she said still had to wait a year as that's the procedure, but begrudgingly agreed to test ovulation in a blood test.
I booked a blood test after for next week, but she didn't specify a day in my cycle I should be tested. I thought it was meant to be a few days after predicted ovulation, am I right? I'm only on CD10 and usually ovulate around CD19 so too early if testing for progesterone! I rang the doctors after and am waiting for confirmation of whether the bloods she's specified can be done any day or not.

Bettythecat · 11/01/2019 08:59

@Beddie11 if you have only been having unprotected sex since the 30th of December (is that right?) then I would wait at least 2 weeks with no period before I POAS I think. Will give your body chance for HCG to rise if you have been lucky first time.

In today’s episode of “my body is taking the piss out of me” my temp didn’t rise this morning as expected. Got my two strong positive OPKs Tuesday and Wednesday so my app was predicting O yesterday but my usual temp jump didn’t happen today. Any thoughts other than what we were saying earlier in the week about OPKs catching the surge a few days before you actually O? I am panicking that I am having an anovulatory cycle now. Me and the husband have been DTD like teenagers so all feels a bit wasted if I wasn’t actually O’ing! 😫😫

FlapJackered · 11/01/2019 09:09

@starkid that's annoying about waiting for the year, but the ovulation blood test is the most important one I think as that is the most likely issue with fertility, you're meant to get it done 7 days before your expected period (that's normally day 21 for people hence why they call it day 21 bloods).

@Bettythecat I had one cycle where it took 48 hours after a positive opk to rise, but it did rise. I think if you had the positive opk it will probably go up tomorrow. 🤞🏻

@KatBeCool Thats good news about your lining being thicker. I always worry about that with me as my af is so short. Did you manage to book the hsg in the end?

FlapJackered · 11/01/2019 09:12

Opks are still strong but not positive, which is very new for me, as normally they go from very faint to positive. Also my skin is flawless for the first time since coming off the pill! The Soy were horrible while I was taking them but now I am quite enjoying them! 😂 ...as long as they don't make my cycle longer I am happy!

starkid · 11/01/2019 09:12

@FlapJackered - yeah that's what I thought, well hopefully the doctor will get back to me otherwise I'm just having a blood test done pointlessly on CD16! Yeah I'm happy having the blood test as my luteal phase is quite short too so least it's one thing to test for to put my mind at ease :)

MrsAW2018 · 11/01/2019 09:18

@MrsLBear ahh I'm so glad you're doing well! Don't envy you with the exhaustion.. I'm tired even now😂! Cramping is still there occasionally and I have just done an IC and it was a BFN. Period is due either Monday or Tuesday I think. Toying with doing a FRER either today or tomorrow but I only have one left. So I'm thinking about doing that and then going out to buy some more with my Christmas money I've got leftover! Can't make up my mind though!

starkid · 11/01/2019 09:30

@MrsAW2018 - You know it's bad when you're spending christmas treat money on pregnancy tests 😂 fx for you xx

MrsAW2018 · 11/01/2019 09:35

@starkid I know😩😂 the struggle is real... I just want to know! Xx

MrsAW2018 · 11/01/2019 10:33

Gah think I've got an evap on a FRER 😩 feel so stupid for doing it so early but I couldn't resist... don't know whether to show my DH or not as don't want him to be annoyed or to think I'm stupid😞

Bettythecat · 11/01/2019 10:44

@MrsEW2018 what’s an evap? Can you post a pic here?

MrsAW2018 · 11/01/2019 10:54

@Bettythecat it's where the test line shows up without the dye so it gives an illusion of a positive even though it's a negative as there is a line there. Mine is so faint that it doesn't show up on camera otherwise I'd be posting it on here immediately for opinions!!

starkid · 11/01/2019 10:55

I now rearranged my progesterone blood test so it's actually at the right time in my cycle, so feeling more at ease now!

starkid · 11/01/2019 10:58

@MrsAW2018 - ah no, how frustrating Sad

Random2468 · 11/01/2019 13:20

@MrsAW2018 ooooh no! It's not over till AF arrives. It's probably just too early to know. When are you next going to test?

I have some hope as I think my chart is showing a triphasic temp pattern with the last 3 days all being above 36.68 and up to 36.98! Praying this may be some good news. FF thinks I'm 11dpo and natural cycles thinks I'm 8dpo so maybe I'll test on Tuesday.....

MrsAW2018 · 11/01/2019 13:38

@Random2468 yeah I'm hoping it's just too early for the result to show. I've ran out of FRER now so getting some more either today or tomorrow (haven't decided when to go yet) won't do another FRER until Sunday/Monday anyway I don't think but will do an IC tomorrow just to satisfy the urge to POAS! You're very good not testing until Tuesday... I'm a POAS addict! I'm 9dpo and I just can't help myself lol 😁

Random2468 · 11/01/2019 13:57

@MrsAW2018 😂 whatever you need to do to keep the urges at bay and get through the day!
I know it's quite weird really but I have read someone on here saying it's easier to know it's a bfn by getting AF as there's the new hope of a new cycle rather than getting the bfn and having to wait.... also I'm a bit worried even if it was good news to know so early - so much can go wrong and I think the anxiety will be tough for me.. especially following my MMC 😫 But anyway...let's get a bfp first before worrying about all that hey! I'm quite jealous of these people that just happily get pregnant and only realise at like 10 weeks!

Bettythecat · 11/01/2019 13:58

@Random2468 that sounds so positive! Fx you have some good news!! Remind me what cycle this is for you?

I’m feeling really down and anxious about it all today. It feels so far out of reach for me at the moment. I feel so confused and it feels so unfair that it hasn’t happened yet and everyone else seems to catch first time. I don’t know anyone who didn’t get pregnant first month, including my own mum and step mum.

Beddie11 · 11/01/2019 14:11

Thank you guys, think im going to give it until the end of January before i POAS although its quite tempting lol. Im sorry can you tell me how to @ people so i can answer/qsk indidually if need be? Xx

MrsAW2018 · 11/01/2019 14:13

@Random2468 yeah now I've thought about it, I don't regret doing the FRER as I just want to know ASAP! Having never been pregnant before and trying for 8 months I think I would just be pleased to know it is possible despite knowing the risks of early pregnancy. Sorry to hear about your MMC, I've got my fingers crossed that this is your month, your temperatures sound promising!

@Bettythecat sorry you're feeling down today... I totally empathise with how unfair it all is. My mom found it really easy to conceive me and my sisters. I didn't expect it to take us so long to conceive😞 where are you up to in your cycle?

MrsAW2018 · 11/01/2019 14:14

@Beddie11 are you using the app or the website? If you're using the app you just need to @ and then type the username. Not sure how you do it on the website though!

Scotslass55 · 11/01/2019 14:20

@KatBeCool so sorry about AF arriving. Hope you’re being kind to yourself.

Looks like I’m out too. CD25 here and I’ve got my usual pre AF symptoms: bit of cramping yesterday, over-heating, tired, bit of bleeding today. Feeling a bit down as had really hoped this might be the month. Trying super hard to eat well this week for Slimming World so cant even drown my sorrows in sugar!

Hoping for better news for the other ladies coming to the end of the 2WW.

DayDreamer1707 · 11/01/2019 14:38

Think I'm going to get back in the game!! Feeling much more positive after a couple of weeks off and my AF being all over!! We will get our little bundles of joy 💕

Cycle number 3 after MMC
Age 28
CD12 got a positive OPK, which means the weekend shall be fun...😬
