@Random2468 your temps sound really promising! Keeping fingers crossed for you!
I am so with you on the people who find out they're pregnant at 10 weeks, how does that even happen!? I wish I could be that chilled out!

@Bettythecat I know how you feel - all my friends are first cycle too. One of my friends got married in October and just announced she is 12 weeks, it is really frustrating but I just keep reminding myself that there is a particular baby that is meant to be part of our family and s/he is worth waiting for. X

Welcome back @DayDreamer1707 we missed you! X come on cycle 3!! 💪🏻👊🏻

@KatBeCool that is great they could book it in so quickly. Well done on the ice cream - you definitely deserve it after last cycle.

@Scotslass55 I think being fitter definitely would help, you could always print off one of those website pages listing everything you can both do to improve your chances and then say to him 'I might try and start walking/running in the evening. Would you be interested?' Or something like that. It is a tricky one to bring up directly isn't it! My DH is a yo-yo with gaining and losing weight, he is overweight but his sperm test came back ok.

Welcome @Nextchapter19 😀

Hi all! Hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend?

So my first class for the last leg of AAT level 3 was today. A whole day studying accounting ethics... yay?! Got very bored, mind wondered to dtd, so dh got a nice surprise this evening Smile I think the course will keep me busy until my exam on 31st Jan, so that'll take my mind off ttc for a bit!

Anyone testing this weekend? Good luck to all. And to those in their fw, happy bonking Smile

KatBeCool · 12/01/2019 05:38

@FlapJackered going next Friday. Going to make an ibuprofen concoction before I leave. I am not a fan of things going "up there". Really hoping nothing is blocked.

TrashKitten10 · 12/01/2019 06:59

@Nextchapter19 Welcome! I think we could manage a 'Teachers TTC number one' thread with all of us on here :)

@KittieKath I hope it was ovulation as that means my cycle is a bit shorter than normal. Unfortunately DH chose this week to be unwell and wanted to just dose up and get to bed, how selfish of him Grin We've managed to get in DTD this morning so we will see :)

@ImMeantToBeWorking Welcome! Where are you cruising to?

MrsAW2018 · 12/01/2019 08:09

Another BFN on an IC. Not feeling that hopeful now😖 AF due either Monday or Tuesday.

Fire48shoes · 12/01/2019 08:48

Hi there,

I’m new! Hope it’s ok for me to join.

Age: 36
Ttc first time
Cycle: (2 kind of) - miscarried at 10 weeks over Xmas and just had d&c a week ago. Waiting for first period now.
Low amh 1.4
Small fibroid
Diminishing ovarian reserve
regular cycle but with early ovulation

Taking lots of supplements now but have confused myself with all the research I’ve done 🤦🏻‍♀️

Has anyone ever had a test done to check dhea levels?

Bettythecat · 12/01/2019 09:17

Morning ladies! Just checking in to say hi and welcome to all the newbies- you've found the right place for all your neurotic and overthinking TTC needs here 😂🙋‍♀️.

After panicking yesterday my temp has gone up a bit today by 0.2 so hoping that's a good sign of o. We have literally DTD every day this week and twice one day- have definitely had enough of it at this point! Did everything we could as doing dry Jan, on a health kick, taking supplements etc so all we can do is wait! Only thing I struggle a bit with is sleep as no matter how tired I am I'll get into bed and my head starts swimming! Anyone else starting their TWW?

ShortandSweet96 · 12/01/2019 09:46

@bettythecat

Starting my TWW today! This month we've tries SMEP so hopefully we're in for a good chance!

I feel quite relaxed today but I just know by Monday I'm going to start symptom spotting like crazy! I've order 20x internet cheapies and I know I'll be doing them from 7dpo like a Looney hoping for a hint of something!

Good luck to everyone else on their tww!

Bettythecat · 12/01/2019 10:10

@ShortandSweet96 woop woop that means we are TWW twins! I think I'm due on the 21st- I'm working from home that day so that I can have my usual cry if it doesn't work!! Looking forward to symptom spotting like mad with you 🤦‍♀️

We also kind of did SMEP this month but got a positive OPK earlier than planned so we ended up doing it every day this week. Also feeling cautiously hopeful!

Fingers crossed for us!!

stormtrooperjulian · 12/01/2019 10:13

@Scottslass55 I’m 10dpo, AF due on Monday - same as you I think, how are you feeling?

@Babytrain89 sounds promising, when is your AF due?

Welcome @fire48shoes and @Nextchapter19

@MrsAW2018 sorry about the bfn. You’re not out til AF arrives though. @Random2468 did you test today?

@Bettythecat and @Shortandsweet96 good luck with your tww, FX this is your cycle!

Bettythecat · 12/01/2019 10:13

Also- sorry for the double post but this is my first slightly insane post of the TWW... do you think it's ok to go for a light jog today? Is it possible for the motion to interfere with fertilisation?!

Jessikka · 12/01/2019 10:15

I think I'm out this month.

No signs of AF as first month off bc so not sure when to expect her but I'm 11/12dpo and had a BFN this morning.
Surely for a "healthy" LP it should end in the next four days and I shave no signs of anything happening so I guess I may be done.

Annoying though that I'm probably out yet I have to just wait for possibly weeks for AF to arrive so I can try again!

Feeling a bit miserable today because all week I've had sore boobs, digestion issues for the first time in my life (I've never suffered with bloating/constipation), nausea and yesterday so tired I couldn't even stand in the Starbucks queue.

Yet it was all for nothing; I'd even feel better if I had AF coming but nope.

Ugh. My first miserable day of TTC!

ShortandSweet96 · 12/01/2019 10:20

@bettythecat

If you regularly exercise then it shouldn't interfere at all. A gentle jog sounds like a great way to pass the time too!

I'm due on the 26th and falls on the weekend so I can also have a good cry!
Nervous about the work situation as were only a team of 5 and I know of 2 other girls TTC so if all 3 of us go on maternity all hell will break loose at work!

Baby fever must be in the air!

Bettythecat · 12/01/2019 10:27

@ShortandSweet96 I'm the same in terms of my work!! We are a team of about 12- 10 of whom are women all having just got married!! Could be interesting the next few months/years!

Thanks- I might got for a bit of a run then. Guess I was thinking the movement could dislodge the sperm or something?! 😂

@Jessikka I know completely how you feel although you aren't out yet remember- it would be very possible for your HCG not to be high enough yet to be picked up even on an early detection. It's so hard because whilst your sensible brain tells you not to get your hopes up you can't help but imagine the symptoms as being a good sign can you 😫

Jessikka · 12/01/2019 10:33

Thanks @Bettythecat

I think I'm just annoyed and frustrated that I may go through all these crappy symptoms again next month for nothing.

Hopefully though it's just because of it being the first cycle off the pill so maybe I had more progesterone or something than I will in future? Who knows.

I want the bloating and nausea to go!
I've had dizzy ness and nausea the last two days which I'm attributing to the digestion so just feel annoyed.

I've lowered caffeine too and not touched alcohol; bloody hell I need to snap outta this!

Debbie downer moment over.

Normal Jess is back! 😂

ShortandSweet96 · 12/01/2019 10:34

@bettythecat
I suppose.. but maybe only if you DTD less than 10 minutes ago!😂

KatBeCool · 12/01/2019 10:51

Welcome @fire48shoes and @Nextchapter19

@Jessikka digestion issues aren't something that you should expect to happen every time you ovulate. I wouldn't worry quite yet.

@Bettythecat exercise doesn't interfere with ttc as long as you don't completely exhaust yourself. Don't get dehydrated though.

stormtrooperjulian · 12/01/2019 11:17

@Jessikka I occasionally get very mild nausea as a progesterone symptom in the tww but nothing compared to how bad I felt during my first month after my implant came out, so don’t worry too much about it happening every time

Random2468 · 12/01/2019 11:34

@Bettythecat it's only cycle 2 after my miscarriage so I really shouldn't be expecting anything for a while.. I just feel like i need it to feel any kind of better after the MC, it's just been so hard and I really think the only thing that will help get a bit of "me"'back is a bfp!

@MrsAW2018 I completely get why you'd want to test early just to know you can! I can only imagine how hard the not knowing is.. but remember the stats - and that we are basically put on this earth to reproduce so it's such a high probability that you will get your bfp soon! Also it really could well be you're too early for a bfp so don't loose hope yet... fx for you

@stormtrooperjulian no I haven't tested... I have quite a busy weekend so I'm going to use that to distract.. my app now says I'm due AF Tuesday so if she hasn't come then I will probably test then... although I was thinking about it theoretically this morning.. if I was pg and i then had an early loss (im such a positive thinker aren't I?!) how I would cope with that. Is not getting an actual bfp until I'm 2 weeks late/getting symptoms/undeniably pg better for me?! I don't know the answer. Will see if AF comes on Tuesday and decide then... When are you testing?

Babytrain89 · 12/01/2019 12:21

@stormtrooperjulian 20th AF is due. Still had the weird pinchy feeling this morning, time will tell.If AF doesn't show on 20th I'll test.

@Jessika my first month off the pill was awful. Since then I've had more symptoms than when on the pill but nowhere near as bad. I get a bit of nausea every month and get quite tired around AF but nothing else out of the ordinary.

KittieKath · 12/01/2019 13:55

@bettythecat I have a similar issue - now wondering if I am ovulating at all. I had a temp spike and EWCM but not positive OPKs in the lead up... all very confusing. I am trying to DTD every other day anyway, but also very conscious that I am turning into a robotic calendar-abiding militant when it comes to sex and it’s defo a massive turn off for the OH!

@flapjackered great news on the soy success! I have been battling with my skin for years low progesterone and use a cream I buy (probably illegally) off the net. Don’t know how effective it is though.

Did you organize this through your GP? Was it difficult to get sorted? (Sorry if i have missed posts on this)

@daydreamer1707 in am ovu this weekend too I think, so we are cycle buddies! Fingers crossed for us both! Let me know when you plan to test!

DayDreamer1707 · 12/01/2019 14:11

Thanks for the welcome back ladies, fingers cross that this cycle is a little more normal if there is such thing as that.

@KittieKath oh that's good, always nice to have someone around the same time. I only do OPKs so don't know when il ovulate exactly, I will try and look out for signs. I always tend to try and not test unless I have some symptoms. I didn't know I was pregnant last time until I was late 🤷🏼‍♀️. And now after the MMC god knows what's going on 😂😂😂

JcHcks · 12/01/2019 14:53

How far in advanced have you come off the pill if you know when you want to start trying? We're getting married in August and will start trying straight away

sunshine1987 · 12/01/2019 15:02

@jchcks I came off the pill 6 months before we started trying x

JcHcks · 12/01/2019 15:04

sunshine Thank you, that's what I was planning on doing.
