@Frazzle sorry you are feeling miserable, lets all be miserable together 😩 Do you know what will happen next? How long it will take for your body to sort itself out, or is it just a waiting game? Do you still have Sorry for so many questions. x

Rose68 · 30/01/2019 10:23

That was meant to say, do you still have ewcm?

ratherbeshowjumping · 30/01/2019 10:25

@Dreamland, I'm sorry AF has arrived. Don't worry about the 26 day cycles, I'm on 26 too. Huge positive that you don't have to wait for ages... sending hugs xxx

@edidxb gosh your job is so tough. I can't believe anyone would support that. I don't understand how you do it....

@kinsters what a nice surprise! timing looks great too. Fx'd x

@rose that's really tough! What does he do (if you can say?) It sounds like it's impossible to schedule any kind of bd with his schedule...

@frazzle glad the spotting has stopped. I'm sorry your DP has been grumpy about dtd, what is their problem...!! It will be sods law though that you don't conceive on the month where you BD every other day then the month you hardly do, you conceive.... keep positive!!!

My puppy went to the vets this morning for the snip... sat by the phone waiting for them to call me. Poor little thing :(

Frazzlerock · 30/01/2019 10:36

@Rose I have no idea. My cycle will be as short or as long as it likes.
It gets me down so much. No more 'fertile' fluid.
I'm only on CD17 of 2nd cycle since MMC though so I should probably just learn to be patient. But it is hard. I think I am feeling very much like you were before (maybe still are) in that I feel left behind and feel very much like I will be the last one standing.
It makes me so angry that we are all told that unprotected sex leads to pregnancy when in fact it really doesn't. And even if it does it's pointless.
The thought of DP pulling the plug again on TTC fills me with absolute dread. So I feel like time is a luxury I really don't have, and that's without even thinking about my age.
@rather I don't think DP is grumpy about DTD, just depressed in general, and any talk about TTC just escalates things so I only really have you guys to moan at, which is why you get it all!

Aw I hope your pupster is okay. Poor little thing. It is for the best though!

@Frazzle, yes I’m definitely still feeling like that, it’s so hard isn’t it. I have considered leaving the group because it’s making me more obsessive... when I should be focusing on other things... such as looking at houses... but then I have really started to care about everyone, and it’s lovely to watch everyone one by one getting preggers. I do think you will get there Frazzle, it’s just shit with your cycles. Mine are as regular as clockwork, but I don’t think it’s going to help me one little bit. xxx

Frazzlerock · 30/01/2019 11:41

Don't leave the group @Rose! If you stay with us, I will try and be a little bit less of a misery Wink

DP has an interview up the road from my office right now so I am meeting him for lunch. Check out the place we are eating, it is 100% not advisable for my stupid PCOS but I'm shoving two fingers up to the bastard today

ratherbeshowjumping · 30/01/2019 12:04

@Frazzle why why why did you have to post that.... mac and cheese with pulled chicken, bacon and jalopenos..... that looks fab! I'm very jealous!

Please don't leave Rose! Can you not have mumsnet open and look at house Grin it is such a fantastic group, I feel so lucky to have met you lot.

Rose68 · 30/01/2019 12:05

@Frazzle don’t worry about being a misery, it makes me feel better in a funny kind of way... I’m not the only one feeling like this etc
I agree with the 2 fingers up thing... I’ve been eating chocolate again... way too much last night... I bloody love chocolate.
Have a lovely lunch, you deserve it. x

Frazzlerock · 30/01/2019 12:15

@rather you need to try the fried pickles. Man alive they're good!

@Rose well I can keep on being a misery, that's easy enough Grin
If it makes you feel better, I also eat chocolate. I go for the extra dark variety but I can still get through a whole large bar of it. Bollocks to needing less of dark choc, it's all chocolate!
I will be good again tomorrow, I need to ovulate and won't if I keep eating sugary things. So I'm kind of being my own worst enemy today but I need nice stuff in my belly!

What are we all up to this weekend? My boys are with their dad, and I'm going to see Sleeper with DP and a couple of friends on Sat night. Can't wait! I saw them at the Shiiine On Weekender thing at Butlins and they were so good, just like the old days.

I need to get some more gigs in the diary really. We still have the Courteeners booked for my birthday in June. I booked them while I was preg in case it didn't work out, and it didn't, so I may still be able to go if I'm still not preg by then. Gotta have contingency plans eh.

tigsyboo · 30/01/2019 12:18

Rose don't gooooooooo!!

I felt like this but then I realised if I didn't obsess with you lot I'd obsess alone and that's waaaaaaay more dangerous!!

BettySwoll0cks · 30/01/2019 12:33

Whole bar or Lindt Excellence intense mint consumed last night. I don't do that very often, but DH is away and I am being really good at staying off the booze (which I reckon is waaaaaaaay worse) so ....

BettySwoll0cks · 30/01/2019 12:38

Oh no. EWCM - way early for me (its CD10, usually pre-mc I would Ov around CD16) and DH is overseas until late Fri night. Body, don't do this to me. I will OPK later, can anyone remind me if it needs to be FMU or if I can just hold it a couple of hours? 😩

Rose68 · 30/01/2019 12:52

I’m not ‘actually’ planning on going, @Tigsy you are right I would carry on obsessing on my own, unless I could put this ttc lark well and truly behind me.

@Betty, how long do you get ewcm for? I usually get it for 5 days before ov.... it could be okay x

This weekend we have the usual football, football and more football, plus kids parties and the usual loads of homework. Joy.

Kinsters · 30/01/2019 12:56

Betty opk is better not fmu cause apparently the hormone surge happens in the afternoon.

Tigsy yes! Obsessing alone is much worse.
I've got my final dry slope ski lesson this Saturday and then Sunday we're travelling up to DH's grandma for Chinese New Year which is on Tuesday. I might not be able to go though cause I'm waiting on an important document which needs to be submitted to the authorities by Monday. Hopefully I can find someone to delegate to as its really just a delivery boy job and seems a shame to cut short my holiday for that!

Argh I just looked at what my due date would be if I conceived this cycle and its such a perfect date, I want it so badly Sad. If only wishing could get us what we wanted.

Rose68 · 30/01/2019 13:18

Oh Kinsters I really really hope you get it x

ratherbeshowjumping · 30/01/2019 14:11

I'm keeping everything crossed for you @Kinsters - and I hope you don't miss out on your holiday!
Two so far with BFPs, I'm sure the rest of us will be there soon 👍🏼

@BettySwoll0cks, agreeing with Rose here, I usually start to get EWCM 2-3 days before O...

Absolutely not judging anyone on the chocolate front... I ran into the shop this morning to grab some milk. Not sure how the cookies also ended up on the counter 😂

@Frazzlerock Sleeper will be fab! What a lovely weekend.
We are doing nothing. For the first weekend in ages! I'm going to go riding with my friend on Saturday but apart from that no plans... hoping to take the dogs for a nice walk, play around with the horses & finish my book. So excited, genuinely, not to have any plans!!

DH has just picked up the puppy from his little op ✂️ poor little man. Dh said he's feeling very, very sorry for himself 🙈😂

The July 19ers - STILL never beaten, and rocking our FJs for a lucky thread
BettySwoll0cks · 30/01/2019 14:11

Ok I realise that I should be 'grateful' that DH is always up for DTD. But this makes me really cross. My Viridian pro conception on the left, his on the right. It's not that much to ask, is it? I take 6 supplements a day, have overhauled my diet and given up drinking in between physically dealing with 3 mcs. He can't be arsed to take a pill and has managed to miss 2 sperm analysis appointments. He q obviously doesn't think that any of this is his problem 😠 Really fucks me off tbh. Sorry for the rant.

Rose68 · 30/01/2019 14:17

@Betty oh that made me laugh, I’m so sorry I know that’s not the right reaction, but this is exactly the same problem I have with DH and his pills.
Except for December when he was getting through his Wellman conception tablets way too fast... upon enquiry it turned out that I had told him to take 2 a day... I had actually told him to take 2 vitamin c tablets a day 🙈

Rose68 · 30/01/2019 14:27

It is very annoying though, it must be a man thing.

Kinsters · 30/01/2019 14:39

Thanks for all the support guys. I told myself I wouldn't look at the stupid due date calculator this cycle because I knew it would be around this date and I'd get too hung up on it but I still did look!

rather that looks like a very sad dog! Poor thing.

Betty you're right to be annoyed, you're making so much effort and he can't even be arsed to take one little pill!

I have to say my DH is very on board with bd'ing and supplements, his only problem is how often he's away. It's at least 3 days every week! He works for his dad's company and when his dad mentioned that DH would be away this whole week I just wanted to yell "you don't want grandkids then?!"

Frazzlerock · 30/01/2019 15:22

@Betty typical isn't it! Hopefully all will be fine and you will get a good BD in on Friday. I think OPKs are better later in the day as morning is too concentrated, therefore it can show a false positive - that is my understanding anyway.
BTW, I agree re DH/DP's. We do an awful lot to ensure healthy egg and put our lives on hold pretty much to get the timing right but they don't do much at all do they. I'm nervous to even ask to BD, let alone get him to take pills.

@Kinsters I hope you don't have to cut your holiday short. And I hope you get your due date. I daren't look at what mine would be as I have way too many false hopes and dreams. I would feel like I am tempting fate.

Ahhhh @rather your little doggy is sooo cute!

Lunch was so lovely - I had the chicken caeser wrap and sweet pot fries and deep fried pickles - sooo good. If any of you are in London, you must look that place up.

It was really lovely to see DP for lunch too, he had a really good interview this morning. He's had a lot of great response actually. I'm so pleased he got out of that awful place, despite having to be pushed out. It was for the best as they were sucking the life out of him. I hate the saying "Everything happens for a reason" - it isn't always the case (as we know) but in this case it is true.

OP posts:
ratherbeshowjumping · 30/01/2019 15:41

@Betty I would be fuming....! You've sacrificed/organised so much. A tablet a day shouldn't be a huge issue.

Imagine if we all had a DP/DH who took their supplements, BDed on demand and didn't have to travel for work... wouldn't life be so much easier?!

Ah Frazzle glad you enjoyed it. That sounds delicious. I'm definitely going to hunt it down next time we go.
So glad your DPs interview went well. Perhaps we should alter the expression to "Some things happen for a reason" Grin

Frazzlerock · 30/01/2019 15:50

@rather if you do look it up, make sure on your first visit you have the chicken and waffles. It's their signature dish. It is basically deep fried chicken with waffles which you then smother in maple syrup AND gravy - I know, sounds rank but trust me it is the nuts!

Yes 'some things happen...' much better phrase Grin

@Rose I'm hear you on the football football football. I do get a break every other weekend though as they go to their dad's. Although we still have to do Sat morning footy for DS2 regardless.
Why can't they enjoy indoor activities!?

edidxb · 30/01/2019 15:51

Hello all.
@Frazzle that looks brilliant food. It's not quite the same but I have just ordered Pizza Hut and it should be on it's way now. Very bad. And I am having a vodka and coke zero. I am so pleased your DP had a positive interview and day.

I had a ridiculous day with 4 separate meetings with parents, all of whom were demanding revenge and condoning their child's behaviour. It makes me despair, it really does. And it's still inspection. BUT inspection finished tomorrow and then it's the weekend!!!!!

@betty - sorry you are feeling rubbish and can't talk. My only positive is that your DH has taken some of the pills? I want to ask mine to take a vitamin but again.......I don't want to bring it up as I think he'll say no and I'm being obsessive even though he knows I take so much each and every day. It makes me so angry. And then I think......calm, calm.

@kinsters - so exciting CNY is coming up and you guys are off. I hope you have a fantastic holiday and get to stay for it all. I know exactly what you mean about the due date as I found out I was pregnant almost a year ago and I know what my DD was. This time I am not looking at specific dates but I know it would be October. Which like you said, would be ideal for me.

@ratherbe I hope the puppy is doing well! I remember when my dog had similar (she's a girl) and it's quite traumatic.

@Rose68 I am pleased you are staying. Like you said, I have also begun to care quite a lot for everyone on here and even though I don't know people's real names, I think we know a lot about each other. No-one wants to be the last one but I hope we will all stick around for the stragglers as there will be some....

This weekend is the first one this year (!) that I don't have to go to work. In addition, my parents are coming for the weekend on their way somewhere else. So I am planning on going to a farmers market, we have tickets to see Othello, go for dinner and visit the QE2 which is now all spruced up.

Pegase · 30/01/2019 17:07

Having serious envy of your little puppy @ratherbeshowjumping

Would love a puppy but sadly not possible with teaching such long hours.

I really want to try Duck and Waffle which sounds similar to what you have had @Frazzlerock

I am still laid up with chest infection so no exciting weekend for me. Went to GP and no antibiotics for me as too risky so she said come back if it gets worse. Feel bloody dreadful but don't want to take any risks. Bleeding has just changed into tinted discharge for now at least.
