Well my DH has inadvertently cheered me up.
I had a little cry tonight about basically how unfair the world is and how I want a baby more than anything and I didn’t feel like he was bothered about it or invested in it....
cue him asking me about this lady-comp and temp tracking... so I explained about ovulation and how these things show you when you are fertile with knowing when you are about to ovulate etc and that some women use it as contracaption method. Him- “makes sense I suppose... like green days shoot it up you, no dramas, red days it goes over your tits instead!’
Now normally I’d be calling him a right pig - but today it makes me howl!! 😂😂

BettySwoll0cks · 07/01/2019 20:39

Aaaaaaaaaah, romance isn't dead in your house 🥰

tigsyboo · 07/01/2019 20:47

Ha ha haaa!
He was half joking I think!

So what’s everyone’s views about these suppliments... think they could be messing with my cycles a bit??

BettySwoll0cks · 07/01/2019 21:10

I'm not a supplement guru by any means but the logical side of my brain says yes, probably. I expect the things that boost sperm/egg quality less so, but those that affect your hormones would surely affect your cycle??

ratherbeshowjumping · 07/01/2019 21:20

@tigsyboo that's hilarious 😂
I would agree with @BettySwoll0cks that they may indeed be messing with your cycle.

ratherbeshowjumping · 07/01/2019 21:22

Ahh @Pegase that's such a fantastic Christmas present! Where are you doing it? Have you booked it yet?!

Rose68 · 07/01/2019 21:26

Oh God I can’t cope with name changes 😨

@Twittle, I haven’t read any of those threads since my mc, but I read plenty before and I found that anyone offering negative feedback was often slated, so I think I would stay quiet. I found it interesting when your midwife didn’t stay for your appointment after you told her about your scan, that spoke volumes to me. As Frazzle says, they will find out soon enough.

I have just had diarrhoea, lovely. I’m assuming it’s cause of the injection I had in my foot, which he told me would stay in my foot (told him about ttc), so now I’m stressing.

My update...
Age 43 (the most geriatric of geriatrics... actually WTF am I actually doing?)
TTC: DC3 since August 2018, conceived on month 3, which at my old age I’m bloody proud of, maybe this is a bit weird?

tigsyboo · 07/01/2019 23:36

OMG....
it could be the pregnacare!!

Read this ladies!! A quick google shows ifs really common!!
Right that’s it. I’m going back to folic acid and that’s it!!

Kinsters · 08/01/2019 01:29

Age: 28
TTC #1
Cycle 5 (possible chemical cycle 3, MMC at 8+4 cycle 4)

FF tentatively confirmed ovulation this morning. The temps look quite low to me though and especially when compared with previous cycles the pattern doesn't look the same, temperature should be climbing post-o, not dropping down to 36.35! I feel like I ovulated based on symptoms but the temps don't seem right.

Tigsy that's interesting about the pregnancare. I'm taking it this cycle too and ovulation has been delayed/not happening. I think this cycle is mostly due to the MC so I'll keep on with the pregnancare and see what happens next cycle.

Rose my first pregnancy symptom was diarrhoea! It could definitely have been unrelated though.

Take my hat off to you Pegase for being a teacher. I've always wanted to teach since I was 5 years old but I wouldn't have the confidence to do it.

Prosecco don't even talk to me about ironing! My pile is awful. Glad your first day back wasn't totally awfully.

Frazzle I do TOMM, well I did pre Xmas anyway... Xmas and being ill kinda put stop to it for us too. My DM came over yesterday though to look after DS and she got my cleaning back on track too so I'll be back to doing it today, bedroom day! You're right about looking out if they want proper honesty or not, I'll keep away. They can always find us for support afterwards.

Rose could be a whole host of reasons, don't worry about the injection. Medical professionals are super cautious about TTC and pregnancy.

Kin overall the seem to fit your pattern though and I think that's what your meant to look at? The overall story. Or you might find your body tried to ovulate, failed, and so will try again soon. Keep DTD I guess?

😂😂 oh tigsy that proper made me lol at this early hour!

Rather it's tough isn't it, thinking where we should be and what we are doing instead. Find it hard to steer clear of other threads, think I like torturing myself too much

TwittleBee · 08/01/2019 05:36

So couldn't resist POAS this morning. I knew I had more coming tomorrow ahead of Thursday and the weekend testing. Can't mistake that for anything but a BFP right? Even my graph looks good.

Told DH and he isn't happy, he said "you got to know that's not good news right now Twittle, you know what I said about not wanting another one" Sad

Kinsters · 08/01/2019 05:42

That's a lovely BFP Twittle! Congratulations!

Sorry that your DH isn't on board what should be a happy occasion. Honestly, if he didn't want another one he shouldn't have had unprotected sex... Its a bit off to decide in the tww that he doesn't want another and tell you that and reinforce that when you get the BFP. As was said in the other thread though, perhaps once your lives settle down a bit and everyone is feeling a bit better he might change his mind.

Sending love to you this morning.

Pegase · 08/01/2019 06:11

Congratulations @TwittleBee that's great! I would just carry on as normal and give him a few days to get used to it. Both times I have become pregnant, DH has just been shocked and terrified the day of the BFP (despite actively TTC) but has come round!

edidxb · 08/01/2019 06:36

Oh brilliant @Twittlebee - I think that's it this time! This is a lucky thread - I knew it! Again, I would let him have a few days to get used to it as he's just reacting at the moment after being ill. My DH was also the same @Pegase and came around in time.

I have no idea what TOMM is @Frazzle but I will now have to google it this morning in a quiet bit at work. Although I can't believe I am on this thread at work. I have loads to do and I don't normally do anything personal at work apart from read a news article during lunch.

I can't go on other threads at the moment. Maybe in time. I did read something on one thread when I was in the waiting time about measurements and someone had written exactly that - it ended badly for me, but you still cling to hope. For every TWW story there is always someone who has a happy ending and someone whose symptoms don't match up.

Good on you @Pegase - I am also a teacher although I am a Deputy Head. I have a whole post coming up about work but I'm saving it up!

RIght, back to it now..........have a good day everyone and congrats again @Twittle

ProseccoBee · 08/01/2019 07:12

Oh that’s an amazing BFP Twittle! Congratulations! I do think your other half will come around especially when he knows how much it means to you, might just take a few weeks to adjust and get used to it! But congratulations.

@pegase and Edidxb also a teacher. How was your first day of term? And which age range do you both work with? I’m with the little ones 3-4s at the minute. Love the age range and first day back they were all quite good, if a little noisy although I blame the wind. Hats off to you though edidxb don’t think I could ever be deputy or head teacher the safeguarding stress in my area would be to much!

Hope everyone has a good day x

BettySwoll0cks · 08/01/2019 07:28

Wow @TwittleBee that's awesome!

My DH is being a grumpy arse this morning. No idea why he's just being super impatient with DS (who has been amazing accepting that his mumma's milk is all gone) has made him cry about 6 times already and is just grunting at me. Some days do you ever look at your OH and just think 'urgh'?

ratherbeshowjumping · 08/01/2019 07:34

Huge congrats @TwittleBee so pleased for you. Don't worry about your grumpy DH, as everyone else has said, he was more than happy to have unprotected sex. He's not been well & has likely been stressed. I'm sure he'll come round very quickly!

Wow so many teachers on this thread! Thank you for doing such a great job ThanksThanks

tigsyboo · 08/01/2019 07:44

OMG Twittle I’m chuffed for you!!
Ignore the DH for now, I wouldn’t mention it for a few days that way there can be nothing said that can’t be unsaid until he gets his head into it.

I work with kids too, but unfortunately I don’t get the fun happy side as I’m a child abuse detective. So I deal with those disclosing serious physical, sexual, neglect concerns.... and unfortunately those not here to tell their story any more!
Happy Tuesday 😢👍🏼 X

TwittleBee · 08/01/2019 07:55

Thank you everyone! It's a pretty strong line for 8dpo though isn't it? Now I'm worried that somethings wrong ffs! It's stronger than what my 12dpo line was for last pregnancy.

So amazed by how many teachers we have on here! Thank you all Flowers

Oh blimey tigsy what a heart Breaking job but we'll done for doing that, it's brilliant you 're doing that! Star

Betty so glad DS is being brilliant and coming off your milk. Such a relief! Sort about grumpy DH though! Hate it when they take it out on the kids.

Kinsters · 08/01/2019 07:59

TwittleI bet you ovulated a couple of days early, like you originally thought. Or maybe it's a girl! I think they produce HCG more quickly... Or maybe it's the other way around?

tigsy that sounds incredibly tough.

Betty that's great your DS has accepted the stopping breastfeeding, he sounds like a sweetheart!

My job is very dull, I'm a tax accountant.

ratherbeshowjumping · 08/01/2019 08:12

@Tigsy what a special person you are to do something like that. It must be heartbreaking!

@Betty your DS sounds adorable!

@Twittle I was thinking back when I saw your post wondering how many dpo you were.... only 8! That's a beautiful line!

Another one here with a dull job... I work in recruitment but am hoping to pursue my "side businesses" full time after mat leave has finished. I have two online retail companies.

Frazzlerock · 08/01/2019 08:45

Morning!

First of all @Twittle! Yay!!! Is this still the BFP from before or what? It's very confusing isn't it. But I am thrilled for you and fuck DH (actually you already did Wink).

@Prosecco my first day back was okay. Same old same old but everyone is really excited about the engagement so they were all desperate to see the ring which made the day a little more upbeat.
As I said, the loud pregnant one was in so that was a bit shit. Even my colleague next to me was eye-rolling. Yes love, we know you're pregnant, so does the entire City of London. She knows full well about my MCs, and she was so super excited when I was preg too and enjoyed the baby talk with me but as soon as I MC'd she dropped me but carried on the exciting baby/preg talk LOUDLY. God I can't bear her.

As others have said it is awesome there are so many teachers here. I am in tech support for an online cloud platform. But this is relatively new (6 years). Before this I was a nanny for many years then I started my own childminding business when I had my boys. So I can relate to the working with children thing! I could have done with Kinsters back then, I hated doing my own tax stuff and trying to stay on top of receipts and books.

@tigsy Interesting about the Pregnacare, I'll have a read in a bit. I took it with my last two MCs and it didn't delay ov for me. In fact my preg cycle was a text book cycle. I ovulated on CD14 which is unheard of in my PCOS life. The first sonographer refused to believe that I ovulated on CD14 and said I have PCOS so that wouldn't have happened. He even smirked at me like I was unhinged or something. Fool. Anyway, I am in awe of your ability to have a job like that. I bet it is rewarding when you catch the fuckers though?

@Betty Sorry your DH is being a twat. Poor DS! He is doing so well too. How do you feel about the BFing?

@Kinsters looking good, but I guess you will find out in a couple of days if it confirms.

@Rose how are the bowels this morning?

I'm also 8dpo according to FF Twittle - I'd forgotten we'd become the dpo triplets with Rose too, as your ov moved about didn't it? I am too chicken to test just yet. I'd rather see AF than a negative test. Plus I still might only be 6dpo..
I've another little temp drop this morning anyway so not holding out much hope. Although my preg cycle had many little temp drops then it went shooting up again.

Yay to the fellow TOMMers! I started following Gemma as she is local to me (Sevenoaks - gotta support the locals, innit!) and my friend was following her and getting great results. I do struggle to do the daily half an hour as I leave the house at 6:30am and don't get home until 6/6:30pm and then it's the mad rush to feed boys, get them to football/cubs etc and I don't even get to sit down until about 8pm sometimes 9pm and I usually fall fast asleep on the sofa in seconds.
DP is the same, so neither of us are very good at fitting in TOMM. But we tend to just do it all at the weekend, which I know defeats the point! But I do the level 1 jobs every morning so we always have clean bathrooms at least

Thanks all
I wish I could say I love it and it's my calling in life but it really isn't!!
I hate every second of it. Not because it's hard, but because of the conditions I work in where everyday is the new 'most important job' to replace yesterday's 'most important job' which still isn't near finished.
Adults accept that they might not be a priority, and other incidents are more serious ... but no one accepts that when it comes to their child being hurt (and rightly so!).... cue the extreme anxiety and panic attacks of not being able to cope... that has flooded into my personal life too.
Anyway... with that I'm off to my Occ health dept today to go and tell them how I still can't cope and I'll be told to crack on! Lols at life!

Frazzlerock · 08/01/2019 09:25

Man! Way to make me feel OLD this morning (Apart from my back still hurting like a motherfucker)....
I was chatting to a colleague in the kitchen this morning. She said she had the flu really bad, then discussion moved onto the flu jab and I said I'd had it so hopefully won't be getting the flu.
She said "We don't get it being young and healthy" Fuck off love, I AM young and healthy! So I told her exactly why I had the flu jab, because I was preg at the time, NOT because I am OLD! That shut her embryonic little mouth up.

Good luck at your occ health appointment Tigsy
What do they do? I don't fully understand what an occupational health therapist is and how they differ from other therapists.

I'll be getting referral today for my back. My insurance doesn't cover 'alternative therapies' so won't get a chiropractor but will get physio. I've no idea what the difference is so whatevs just fix it!
