Tomorrow is 10dpo. The urge to test is real. But I was going to wait for AF and then if significantly late I'd test. But I don't know what would be least disappointing - a bfn or af? What does everyone think?

Butterfliesandroses · 18/01/2019 18:28

@naughtysausage I'm not sure - I've never had the willpower to wait! We are on cycle 3. Last two months the bfn's mentally prepared me for AF's arrival though. I guess everyone's different so you should do what you feel is right x

Blueowlstar · 18/01/2019 18:47

@naughtysausage I am testing tomorrow morning at 10dpo. I can’t wait any longer and I have been crampy today as well as feeling a little nauseous but it could all be in my mind as I’m looking out for any symptom lol! I will let you know how it goes tomorrow! Fx for us all xx

Naughtysausage · 18/01/2019 20:19

@Butterfliesandroses I think I'm leaning that way as my hopefulness is rising everyday and I think it might be less sad to nip that in the bud.

@Blueowlstar fingers crossed for you! Please do let us know.

Nay08 · 18/01/2019 20:27

@blueowlstar thank you, fingers crossed! Ive had cramping intermittently for the last 3 days so i am hoping something is happening. Today is my last day on provera so heres hoping. Im back to the doctors on Monday to get my boods taken and a vaginal exam done to check everything else out too. I am concerned though as my mother has PCOS, so just a waiting game now.

Butterfliesandroses · 18/01/2019 21:00

@blueowlstar fingers crossed for you tomorrow!! Also for you @naughtysausage if you do decide to test. My rationale is exactly the same as yours due to hopefulness x

Blueowlstar · 19/01/2019 08:59

Well ladies, I tested this morning at 10dpo with a first response test and BFN. I’m still holding out hope as I can see that a lot of tests even with first response didn’t show as positive until 12-14dpo. Sending you all luck for yours.

Naughtysausage · 19/01/2019 10:51

@Blueowlstar bad luck.

Sleepyhead11 · 19/01/2019 17:38

Hello, hope it's OK to join? I came onto Jan bus but left as we decided to not really try until we have more information due to health issues (I have an AI disease and wanted me information) but we did have unprotected sex once (just once) in Dec.

My period is now really late. I keep thinking it can't be, and I took a test on Thursday which was negative, but I took it in the afternoon and had drank pints and pints of water. Period still isn't here, and am wondering if it's possible? I would love to be pregnant, this has made me realise how much I want it, but at the same time I think it's so bloody unlikely.

Do I test again? Could I have diluted urine by drinking so much water (I have sjogrens among other things so need to drink pints and pints every day.)

Just wondering if I'm being silly. Trying so hard to focus on other things. (Work, my ambition to write, exercising, spending time with DP, making house lovely) but it's like my thoughts keep swivelling back to this. It's not normal to be this late.

Sleepyhead11 · 19/01/2019 17:44

Blueowlstar I think you still have a chance for this month right? It's horrible though. I am just beginning to understand how crazy this can make you. There is always February, and March and April and so many other months if not this one.

I'd like a baby this decade though. (Isn't it scary that babies conceived past March will be in next decade?)

Naughtysausage · 19/01/2019 18:13

@Sleepyhead11 I'd try again perhaps on Monday morning (first thing). What test were you using and how late are you?

And it's meant kindly, but don't put any deadlines on it. I wouldn't worry what decade it's born in. 20's sound cooler than teens anyway!

Naughtysausage · 19/01/2019 18:16

And @Blueowlstar maybe another test on Tues?
I've decided to wait until later in the week, I've got some PMT symptoms today so am being sensible. (Today's decision, no idea what I'll think tomorrow!)

Blueowlstar · 19/01/2019 18:27

@sleepyhead11 yes I actually believe there is still a good chance! I just have a feeling that I am, all the signs have been there and I had slight aching/cramping from 7dpo-9dpo and absolutely nothing today so that could suggest implantation cramping??! (Maybe) also a lot of people didn’t get their positive until 12dpo and over so I think I’ve tested too early! (Look at me clutching at straws!) we will see. But your situation sounds really hopeful. I’ve watched a bunch of vids where some people were only getting their positive once they were a week late. If you are normally like clockwork I would suggest to take another test on Monday! Fx for you.

@naughtysausage yes I’m def going to wait now until 14dpo. That will be when AF is technically due! What kind of symptoms are you getting? Like AF Is due? x

Butterfliesandroses · 19/01/2019 19:17

@blueowlstar you're not out of the running yet! Fingers still firmly crossed for you.

So following yesterday's conversation I gave in and tested with FMU on 8dpo (told you I don't have any willpower). It was an internet cheapy that I'd lost the instructions for so not sure how long I should have left it before I looked. Anyway, if I hold it to the light there is the faintest possible line. DP says it's an evap (cruelest evap ever if so) so I've been trying to keep my hopes down all day. Might try with a FRER in the morning and have ordered a clear blue digital from Amazon to try on 10dpo. Will keep you all posted x

Blueowlstar · 19/01/2019 19:25

Oh wow @butterfliesandroses let’s hope it was a true faint line. Pls keep us updated. X

Sleepyhead11 · 19/01/2019 20:44

@butterfliesandroses oh I hope it is real. I can imagine the hope and fear. I just Googled Evap line, didn't know that was a thing. It seems horribly cruel and something tests should be designed to not have.

@Blueowlstar thank you so much for giving me hope. It was a Tesco one with a plus or minus sign and it was definitely a minus, but I'd had so much water and I just keep hoping. Every time I go to the loo and see my period's not here yet I feel filled with hope, but also scared by it, because I want this so badly. I hope so hard you get your positive.

Thank you so much @Naughtysausage, will try again on Monday, and I guess there are no deadlines.

Naughtysausage · 19/01/2019 22:06

Have you read https://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2484961-The-myth-of-Evap-lines this] thread about evap lines?

It's certainly interesting and makes sense.

Naughtysausage · 19/01/2019 22:06

Blush link fail there.

ronniemipperton · 20/01/2019 06:05

Hi all, I think this is terrible bus etiquette as I don’t think I actually joined this thread (I did join another Jan one but can’t find it - I have been on buses for months and months where I did actually post so I hope you’ll forgive me) but I just got a BFP.

Feeling v uncertain as I had a MMC last time and this morning’s temp drop, pretty faint line and lack of symptoms are making me a bit worried, but it makes a change from all the snowy white FRERs I’ve been looking at for months.

In case useful: I did have what I assume was an implantation temp dip at 9dpo (though didn’t go below cover line). On that day I was in a massive grump which I assumed with the temp drop was AF on her way.

I did a test on 11 DPO (though wasn’t with FMU, though was still morning) which was BFN. BFP today is at 13 DPO.

Good luck everyone :)

@ronniemipperton aww congratulations!!! Such lovely news 😍 thanks for sharing always interesting to know when people got their BFP’s! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months! Did you have any symptoms leading up to it? Xx

Naughtysausage · 20/01/2019 09:12

@ronniemipperton congratulations! Lovely news. Fingers crossed for a happy healthy pregnancy for you

ronniemipperton · 20/01/2019 09:16

Thanks @Tiddley25! Didn’t really have any obvious symptoms - the only thing that made me think I might be pg was the temp dip (but when it first dropped I did just think AF was on her way). And I’ve felt a bit sick first thing today and yesterday, but not particularly noticeably.

Chart attached in case useful for anyone... bit worried about today’s temp drop but everyone says if you’ve got a bfp step away from the thermometer...

Thanks @Naughtysausage Smile

Butterfliesandroses · 20/01/2019 09:28

Congratulations @ronniemipperton !!!

So ladies, looks like that's two BFP's in one day as I got mine on a FRER this morning!

Perhaps this is a lucky thread after all!

Blueowlstar · 20/01/2019 09:46

Omg! Huge congratulations to you both @ronniemipperton and @butterfliesandroses that is lovely news to wake up to on a Sunday :)
