@ohsure wonderful news, huge congratulations! Xx

HeartvsHead · 10/01/2019 14:19

@cosycashmere thanks, me too! Is this your first month trying? You never know you might be the person to get pregnancy first time twice! Fingers crossed for you.

My daughter's birthday is the 23rd Dec so if it doesn't happen this month or next hubby is insisting on a two month break to avoid the Christmas period. That would then mean a 2020 baby which at this point seems so depressing... (though in my heart of hearts a baby is a baby whenever he/she makes an appearance).

Naughtysausage · 10/01/2019 14:58

@ohsure Congratulations! Brilliant news.

@HeartvsHead don't be sad about a 2020 baby. Still plenty of time for a 2019 one to be fair, but if your dd is 2 (?) then she'll just be getting her free hours at nursery? Makes everything easier? Will always try and find a silver lining Grin

iano · 10/01/2019 16:19

Congrats @ohsure!

Carly581 · 10/01/2019 17:04

Hi everyone, new here. Joining in on the chat for willpower to try and not test for a few days. I got a dark line on my ovulation test on Saturday the 5th. Then faint line by Monday so hoping all's good for me this month. This will be out 2nd cycle trying after a miscarriage in June where we found out we had a partial molar pregnancy. So I had a lot of blood work follow up after that and wasn't allowed to TTC. But we've had the all clear for 3months now and hoping it's not to long a wait

Butterfliesandroses · 10/01/2019 20:04

Congratulations @ohsure !!!

HeartvsHead · 11/01/2019 18:40

@Carly581 when do you plan to test? Exciting/nerve wracking isn't it! Good luck.

@Naughtysausage, I know. I'm usually quite a positive person but when starting ttc the due date would have been May so feels like it's slipping further and further away.

cosycashmere · 11/01/2019 19:15

@HeartvsHead yes first month this time round.
The problem with missing a couple of months though is that you could still get an early arrival (we did!) Could use that to tempt your husband to not have a break for timings?

MrsPMT23 · 11/01/2019 20:03

@carly581 good luck, hope you don't have to wait too long!

@cosycashmere are you testing tomorrow morning?!

Boobs still not hurting as normally do before AF and started waking up around 3am ready for the day and not able to get back to sleep. All really similar symptoms to last pregnancy 🤞

Carly581 · 11/01/2019 20:26

Thanks and good luck to you to @mrspmt23 @heartvshead
I'm roughly 5/6 dpo I'm hoping I can wait till af is due but I know I won't so even 1 or 2 days before.
I'm feeling really gassy today.
My first pregnancy I was 19 and didn't know till I was 3months so don't know what my early symptoms were. 29years old now so even if i did experience some I probably wouldnt even remember because it's been so long. Xxx

cosycashmere · 11/01/2019 21:09

@MrsPMT23 I'm tempted but still only have one (expired) test! Just been googling and seems like it's v likely to get either a false positive or false negative once the chemical has expired so I'm going to buy some more tomorrow... and then TRY to hold off until Sunday!
Are you going for it tomorrow? Fingers are so crossed for you if so. Sending lots of positive thoughts!!

cosycashmere · 11/01/2019 21:10

@Carly581 I can't remember my symptoms from last time very well and that was only 2 years ago, no wonder you can't think back a decade! Fingers crossed for you this month.

hodgeheg92 · 13/01/2019 07:19

Just seeing how everyone is doing?
Congratulations to you too @ohsure!

cosycashmere · 13/01/2019 07:29

I got a positive yesterday! Still shocked and trying not to get too excited yet but seems so surreal.
@hodgeheg92 how are you doing?
@MrsPMT23 any news? I've got my fingers so crossed for you!

hodgeheg92 · 13/01/2019 07:57

@cosycashmere Congratulations! Maybe see you on the antenatal thread Smile

I'm good thank you, I POAS again yesterday, just to be sure and I'm definitely pregnant. It's starting to sink in slowly now!

HeartvsHead · 13/01/2019 08:54

Yay to the BFPs!! Congratulations!

My cycles vary between 33-37 days so it's a long old wait for me yet. Should be able to test around the 26th/27th. Feeling hopeful but we will see.

Blueowlstar · 13/01/2019 11:05

Hi everyone, I wondered if I could jump in on the thread. I am ttc #no3 and currently 4dpo. With my first 2 I wasn’t trying and fell pregnant so this is the first time that I have actively been trying for a baby. I came off the pill in Dec when my DH said shall we try for a third and so I didn’t know if my body would even ovulate straight away but I got a positive OPK on 9th Jan accompanied by pains in the left side of my womb all day. I am really hoping we will be lucky and fall pregnant this month but the only signs I have had so far is slight breast pain. When would be a good time to take a first test?

Outwards · 13/01/2019 13:47

How is everyone doing? Still so glad to see so many BFP's, how's early pregnancy for you all? Any symptoms showing yet? Share all!!

I've been quiet since AF showed for me, and we had all our fertility tests back now and at last, we have some answers. I'm completely shocked that it's DH who had not great news (I was convinced it was me), but he has a borderline sperm count/quality.

I wish we'd done the tests sooner. I'm relieved to finally have some answers, and looks like DH can focus on improving the count. Lots of things to try!

I'm feeling positive again now, strangely, even though it's bad news, I feel less in the dark! Good luck everyone x

MrsPMT23 · 13/01/2019 13:47

Congratulations on your BFPs @cosycashmere and @hodgeheg92

I did a FRER on Saturday morning (6 days before AF due) and negative. Apparently they're only 60 something percent accurate that early so going to hold off until AF is due now!

If we don't get a positive this cycle DH is suggesting we hold off next cycle as his parents are going to be in South America for 8 weeks from mid October 😣 and doesn't want them to be away when I'm due.

iano · 13/01/2019 19:45

@Outwards I'm so glad you have some answers!
I hope this will mean a BPF for you very soon.

iano · 13/01/2019 19:45

*BFP

iano · 13/01/2019 20:25

Have those with a positive migrated to the pregnancy section? If so where? I'm a bit lost in the thread I've joined. Some people are much further along.

hodgeheg92 · 14/01/2019 07:29

@outwards so glad you've got an answer and there are things that can be done!

Early pregnancy is treating me fairly kindly, I'm exhausted and therefore crabby at DH but think that's more to do with the 1yr old who stopped sleeping through.

Yes @iano I'm on a thread in antenatal clubs called "September 2019 babies?" because that's when I'd be due if this little one sticks, some people are a little further along though I guess because they didn't want to join the August group with an end of August baby maybe?

hodgeheg92 · 14/01/2019 07:31

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/3461363-September-2019-babies

That's the link @iano People have been there a little while but I've not been there long and I know from DD1 that the Facebook group we'll (hopefully) create from that will save my sanity! My January 2018 group knew about this current pregnancy before DH Grin
