1dpo starting the TWW who's hoping for a new year BFP?!

So I'm not due to ovulate for 2 more days but according to my Cm I probably ovulated yesterday (2nd month in a row I ovulated early) last month I missed ov because I started dtd after I think I ovulated whereas this month I started a week previous which ended up only being a couple days before!! So I think I'm about 1dpo and starting the tww!! Anyone fancy joining?

Merry Christmas to all! 🎁🌲

My AF is due on 4th Jan too but my cycles can be 30-42 days long. However today I've had a little bit of spotting 7 dpo assumedly so I'm playing the implantation / period game!! Eek!

thosethreewords · 28/12/2018 17:02

4DPO and it's draaaagging! I've got a few things planned - DH 30th birthday, wedding anniversary and NYE! So if this isn't my cycle... how will I manage a normal 2WW?!

I've had some cramps today. Not sure if that's something or nothing?!

Needadoughnut · 28/12/2018 17:03

I've had cramps today too... But I think the cheese is to blame!

thejollytrolleydolly · 28/12/2018 17:58

@Needadoughnut I really admire your willpower I'm a sucker for poas! I always have a stash of ics around!

@Mamabear12 no I can't use them as I work dodgy shifts so I can never take them at the same time every day! I use flo app which is usually fairly spot on and watch my Cm

@workinprogressmum that looks promising!! Fx for you!

@thosethreewords I'm sure you can treat yourself to a glass of wine or 2? If you're 4dpo you might not have even implanted yet so it won't effect anything 😁

Thank you lovely @thejollytrolleydolly. It's absolute torture waiting to test!

Paddypaws91 · 28/12/2018 18:24

@thosethreewordS I’m 4DPO too and I’ve been having light cramps and weird flutters. I realise it’s really early, probably just the aftermath of Christmas over indulgence, but also really bad acid reflux and nausea. I’ve also had a little spotting but that’s probably ovulation spotting. Massively symptom spotting!!!

Onemoremincepie · 28/12/2018 18:58

Been following posts hoping to join you one day - also sat here waiting for the days to go by but not wishing them away too much! Getting to grips with the abbreviations (hopefully) and wishing Af not to appear on 5 jan. App says ov day was 22 Dec - was busy the week before with dh! Any advice on when to test and more accurate brands etc?

thosethreewords · 28/12/2018 22:10

@Paddypaws91 yep I think I'm just symptom spotting!
@thejollytrolleydolly definitely need to continue to drink so I don't raise suspicion with ILs!

Mamabear12 · 28/12/2018 23:32

I am out. Spotting has made an appearance. I have to say it’s been such a frustrating time when trying while body plays tricks on you! I have been extremely bloated so thought for sure I must be. Plus very strong sense of smell the past week. So frustrating!! Ah well. I have to just focus on trying to get healthy and on to the next cycle.

Daisy726 · 28/12/2018 23:53

@mammabear12 so sorry to hear that! Xx

thosethreewords · 29/12/2018 07:13

@Mamabear12 oh no 😩 that is so frustrating! Symptom spotting is so easy but such a trick it seems. I'm so sorry xx

Paddypaws91 · 29/12/2018 08:10

So sorry @Mamabear12 Sad that is really disappointing. Hope the new year brings you lots of luck.

thosethreewords · 29/12/2018 09:49

What's everyone doing for distractions then? I'm doing some sales browsing online. Ive seen some nice house things!
DH and I are redoing a spare bedroom at the moment and so I'm trying to find some bedside tables, headboard, an easy chair and possibly a dressing table too. He's so picky though, whereas I like lots of things!

Daisy726 · 29/12/2018 11:04

@thosethreewords that sounds nice! I’m off to visit some friends today - all of them have babies so it’s going to boost my broodiness more!

Also the distractions don’t seem to be working. I tested again this morning (!) - BFN. Still have 5 more days til AF due though.

thejollytrolleydolly · 29/12/2018 15:03

Oh @Mamabear12 that sucks! At least you know though and can start preparing yourself for next month!

@thosethreewords I'm hoping to be pretty busy until test day, I'm flying tomorrow and nye and for our days off we have just bought some mountain bikes that need riding and a shed that needs building so we will have plenty to do!! I'm usually stuck bored at home alone so I'm super grateful for the distractions!!

Going to start with some ic's around the 5th and then a frer on 7th potentially? I'll see what happens... I don't really get my hopes up too much anymore as we've been trying for about 10 months and each month has been the same bfn. I think I will be in utter shock if I ever do see a second line!! 😁

Thanks everyone. At least I can enjoy skiing freely w out worrying on my holiday now 😀

workinprogressmum · 29/12/2018 16:35

Good luck @thejollytrolleydolly

I'm going to try testing tomorrow 10dpo.
The spotting I had stopped fairly soon after it started. My boobs hurt but could be sign of AF. Who knows??

thejollytrolleydolly · 29/12/2018 19:22

Exciting @workinprogressmum let us know how you get on!! Roll on the 5th so I can get on it 😁

Another BFN this morning Confused. I’ve been feeling incredibly nauseous again and I’ve had twinges in my abdomen which is really confusing me. I came off the pill in September so I wonder if it’s just my body’s hormones getting back to normal? I’ve not felt this sick in the first few months though. Has anyone had something similar? I really hope my body isn’t tricking me. Argh this wait is the worst!

workinprogressmum · 30/12/2018 07:20

@Daisy726 the wait is awful. I've been feeling nauseous on and off for a couple of days.

Was too keen and tested last night. BFN.

Going to wait until tomorrow morning now.

Didn't get bfp with my son until around 16/17dpo 5 years ago. Am impatient!

If it is a BFN I'll be going to drs and asking about that bit of mid cycle spotting!

thosethreewords · 30/12/2018 08:46

@workinprogressmum that's interesting that your BFP came so late last time! Maybe that's why my FF app suggests waiting until 18 DPO (If I get that far I will genuinely go and get myself a medal)
I really hope you are testing too early this time too FX
@Daisy726 so much easier said than done but try not to feel disheartened. The hormones/ aftereffects from the pill will definitely be gone by now ❤️

workinprogressmum · 30/12/2018 09:07

@thosethreewords yep, I concieved DS Christmas Eve 2013. My husband's auntie got married on New year's Eve and knew I was pregnant because I had to suck polos during the ceremony, I felt so ill and couldn't stomach alcohol. But had to wait over a week later for a positive test. I hope that's the case now!

You'd definitely deserve a medal getting to 18dpo to test. I cracked at 9dpo last night Grin

Forgot how stress inducing TTC is.

thosethreewords · 30/12/2018 09:28

@workinprogressmum ah I ovulated on Christmas Eve so if we conceived this cycle that could be me tomorrow! Although it's also my wedding anniversary tomorrow so I would like to be on good form!

Daisy726 · 30/12/2018 10:31

Thanks ladies. If AF comes and I’m still feeling like this I’m going to have to see my GP because it’s been going on for weeks. Really unusual.

Waiting to 18DPO is amazing! Well done! I’m propping up the profits of First Response at the moment... it’s my first time trying so next month I’ll be more restrained if this isn’t what I think it is.
