Hey @TinselBee, @Rose68, @BettySwoll0cks

Here is the thread I promised us.

Somewhere for us to help eachother, pick one another up, cry, scream, laugh..

Some of us may be looking to try again, some may be putting things on hold. Whatever our plans, lets get through this together.

(I don't know whether conception was the right choice of topic, I can always have this moved to a more suitable topic if anyone would like me to)

I will look through our threads again and see if I can @mention anyone else who might like to join us

@Twittle that sounds discriminatory to me. I would not worry about what your CV looks like and consider looking around. Genuinely. Can I ask what industry you work in? If you find the right employer, they won't mind what your CV looks like if you're the right fit for the role.

@Kinsters that's a bit shit... I can't imagine how it must feel for everyone to speak a different language and for you not to have a clue what's going on.
Val d'isere is much different to that. Lots of runs for the less advanced and the apres ski is great. Can't imagine not being able to walk to bars etc, that's the best bit! Think you'll enjoy it much more than Hakuba... so many people have recommended Japan but think I'd steer clear from Hakuba judging from what you said....

@Frazzle that's so, so, so exciting!! I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you Grin

Honestly @Twittle it works for me. I did my monthly diligent DIL duties of going out for dinner with her and FIL on the weekend. She made a really rude dig about my parents being loaded (they're not, just work really, really hard) - DH did pull her up to be fair - but it genuinely bounced off me. "Stupid is as stupid does...." - if you can prepare yourself for the worst, anything else she says will be a surprise Smile

TwittleBee · 07/01/2019 11:00

Rather I work in town planning consultancy currently. Before I worked for major house builders planning teams. Left my previous employer, Persimmon, because I was being asked to do unethical and illegal stuff and when I refused I was branded "not a team player"

Okay so work have just given me a major project.... this project will last years so I dont think they are planning on me going anywhere after our talk?

ratherbeshowjumping · 07/01/2019 11:10

Giving you a major project is definitely not a red flag. Perhaps have a chat with your manager to find out if there's anything else that has caused your probation to be extended? Or is there someone higher up you could speak to?
You physically could not come into work whilst miscarrying - also you spent time in hospital.... it's not like someone who had a heavy weekend and has a "cold" on a Monday morning.

TwittleBee · 07/01/2019 11:25

Rather there is only 8 of us in the office, its very flat structured. I think the Directors (one of whom is HR) were just trying to be compassionate maybe but came out wrong? I know that they TTC baby #2 for years without any success and eventually gave up. Feeling a lot better now they've given me a project again! Was getting so worried.

Frazzlerock · 07/01/2019 11:25

I think their attitude is shit Twittle I'd do what Rather suggested and see if their was any other reason they extended your prob as their excuse so far is not on!

Frazzlerock · 07/01/2019 11:28

Good news they have given you a big project, but that excuse though... I just wouldn't buy it

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 07/01/2019 11:29

I am gonna be cautious, ride out the next 3 months being #1 employee and if DH does decide to cotinue our TTC journey then I certainly wont tell them I'm pregnant

Rachyrach83 · 07/01/2019 11:35

God I wish I could move jobs!!
My industry means I don't have a choice of employer, and senior management are arseholes!!
I HATE it!
In a part of the job that I hate but trained up to the eyeballs so can't get out.
Been in the industry for 14 years!!

Do not care about anyone, we are all just pieces on a chess board that they move with ease and sod the implications for you personally.

Tried to move me 1hr away from step sons schools in September... only the threat of legal action under equality act due to MH issues they caused stopped it!! I envy anyone who can just leave a job they are unhappy in and get a similar one with a better employer :(

Rose68 · 07/01/2019 11:37

I’m trying to catch up... I’m sitting in a hospital waiting room having just had an injection in the neuroma in my foot. My foot is totally numb so driving home might be interesting 😳

Twittle that sounds discriminatory to me, I’m pretty sure having a mc is not a reason to extend someone’s probationary period. Also I thought you got full employment rights once the probationary period has ended, not after 2 years. Why would they think you want to be a sahm? Surely it’s not their position to assume that? A lot of Mums with young children work. Good news about the big project though! And it also seems that you are another dpo sister, I will be 10dpo on Thursday & I also have that day in my mind as the earliest testing day.

@Kinsters we are going to Serfaus in Austria and staying in a hotel that is excellent for children. If they are happy, we are happy! Skiing in slushy snow is really hard work, you should find proper snow much easier. And Val d’isere is lovely and Feb is an excellent time to ski in Europe. April is right at the end of the season for us so I am praying the snow is ok. Last time we went the snow line was above the resort , but below the slopes, so the skiing was mostly ok. But they had a couple of runs open (maintained with snow machines) down into the resort which were so slushy. I skied my then (just) 5 year old all the way down into the resort between my legs, with my poles across his body. It absolutely destroyed me, it was such hard work without having a child between your legs. I couldn’t even speak until I started drinking that evening. But it makes me smile now thinking about it.

@Frazzle that sounds promising! I have no signs at all apart from the odd spot, so I’m not holding out much hope. Although my acupuncturist said there are no signs during the tww so not to look for any. Interesting your AF isn’t due for a while yet, do you have a long LP? If so your progesterone levels should be good. Mind should be due on Sunday or Monday, but I’m thinking the dhea might make it come early.

TwittleBee · 07/01/2019 11:48

Rose my Af is due Sunday too! Only have luteal Phase of 12dpo! FX for us testing thursday! I've ordered more FRERs at the ready. Hope your foot isnt numb for much longer! Could you have a cuppa whilst you wait it out?

TwittleBee · 07/01/2019 11:56

I am majorly cramping today, just to add to the already sore hips/legs thing going on. Feel super bloated too. Trying to not fool myself as I know this could just be PMS

Frazzlerock · 07/01/2019 12:06

@Rose I actually have no idea how long my LP is.
When I was TTC the boys and I tried temping, I wasn't having periods for months on end so my charts were ridiculous and I never ever saw evidence of ovulation. I gave up in the end, but gave it a good go.
The first time I tried temping since then was with Popsy and I got preg that cycle.
I thought the 'average' LP length was about 14 days? I'm now either 5dpo or 7dpo (like you) depending on which app I go with. So I am counting 14 days using the 5dpo so I hold out as long as poss!
When is your AF due?
I have also heard that there are no signs during TWW. But something weird happened to me. Since we lost Emily nearly 3 years ago, I have that metal/dry mouth with thirst a week or two before AF. It was always a classic preg sign for me before then, but now I get it every single cycle. I have it now in fact. Instead of it being a sure sign I am preg, I now see it as a sure sign I have ovulated.

I remember one of you asked me if I thought my PCOS had gone into 'remission'. I do wonder about it. A few months before I was preg with Emily I started having lots of periods like every 7-10 days, and they became super heavy. Then I fell preg with Emily by complete surprise - this has never happened to me before. Since we lost her I have had pretty regular periods but very very heavy. So I had a scan which proved I now have adenomyosis. I have also managed to fall pregnant relatively easily, just unable to hang onto them. whereas before I couldn't even get pregnant! But when I did they stuck.

I wonder if those short heavy cycles was my body readjusting itself after years and years of very few periods. I only hope my cycles stay like this so I am in with a good shot of conceiving again

Frazzlerock · 07/01/2019 12:07

@Rose, ignore me, I just read you are due Sun or Mon which is probably when I would expect mine but hanging on a couple of days in accordance with ovusense predictions.

Looks like my monitor will be sent!! Just got this message!!

Hi there, thank you for your prompt payment. I will be posting it to you tomorrow - once it’s sent I’ll send over the tracking number to you.
Many Thanks

Now just got to hope it works!!! I’m going to input the temps into my app too to see if it ties up

Rose68 · 07/01/2019 12:12

I have made it home with a numb foot!

@Princessbala my AF after mc was completely normal. I was expecting something horrid and heavy so it was a pleasant surprise.

@Frazzle I think my AF is probably due Sunday, yes 7dpo today so that would give me a LP of 13 days. I wouldn’t be surprised if the dhea makes it come early.... we shall see.

Rose68 · 07/01/2019 12:15

@Frazzle our messages are crossing 😂 I thought you said earlier today that your AF is due in the next 10-12 days, that’s why I thought you might have a longer LP. Sorry if I got it wrong 🙈 xxx

Frazzlerock · 07/01/2019 12:24

Excellent @Rachyrach83!!

@Rose that may have been my mistake! If I am 5dpo (Ovu) then 14 days LP would take me to 9 days time. 7dpo will take me to 7 days time like you. But like I say, I have no idea how long my LP is so we shall see..

Kinsters · 07/01/2019 12:56

Rose68 that's so lovely that you can ski with your kids. It's a great thing to do when they're young.

ratherbe i'll let you know how it compares! Hakuba was still a nice holiday but it wasn't at all what I expected having seen others ski holiday pictures - perhaps we just stayed in the wrong place. All the accommodation does seem quite far from the slopes though and the town seemed very quiet.

Frazzle it was me who asked about your pcos. That's really interesting. I've read on here before about people's pcos disappearing but usually due to some dietary change. Fingers crossed you've got pregnant easily and that it's a sticky one.

Twittle sounds like they were trying to be nice but maybe in a very clumsy way. If they'd wanted to get rid of you they would have just done so before your probation ended and not given you a big project.

I think I'm either 4, 2 or 0 dpo with a 10 day luteal phase so not too long to wait till I can test. I think I'll probably be testing at the weekend as well (if I did actually ovulate when I think I did!). Huge bag of pregnancy tests and OPKs arrived today. Going to keep opk-ing and bd-ing while my temperature is still up and down even though I'm pretty sure I ovulated.

I got my promotion! So 2 extra days holiday and probably a pay rise.

Rose68 · 07/01/2019 13:36

@Rachy great news about the monitor!

@Kinsters yay for the promotion! That’s excellent news, well done! x

TwittleBee · 07/01/2019 13:48

Kin That is bloomin fantastic news! Well done!

ratherbeshowjumping · 07/01/2019 13:49

Ahhh congrats @Kinsters that's fab! Well done you 😁

@Rachyrach83 great news!!!

I think I'm around 2dpo and I'm completely not expecting to be pg this month after dh's & mine "experiment" 😫 before mc I was 26 days however last month was 31 so Ovia is now calculating a 28 day cycle due on on the 22nd. I ovulated one day later than I usually would so guessing that's about right. Has anyone else had this?

I'm due to go to my godmothers in Dublin for the weekend 18th-20th and absolutely will not be allowed to not drink anything... I'd be about 12dpo... most tests pick up by then don't they? Would have no issue with her knowing I was pg, even that early, but just concerned if I was even though I'm 99.9% not and I drank & then got a +ive test the next day 😩

ratherbeshowjumping · 07/01/2019 13:49

Just read that back and it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever so kudos to anyone that makes heads or tails of what I'm trying to say Grin

edidxb · 07/01/2019 13:54

Congrats @kinsters for the promotion and @twittlebee for the big project. Just been reading and catching up on the days events on the thread as just home and on A busy day at work I don't have a chance to see what going on!
I'm currently lying on my bed in all my.work clothes so I'm off to get changed and then will re-read everything and reply properly!

TwittleBee · 07/01/2019 13:58

rather I would be surprised if a FRER didnt pick up something by then considering it states 99% accurate for 3 days before period. Plus implantation usually happens around 9dpo so plenty time for hcg to build up?

edidxb hope you have a relaxing time after busy day at work
