14 DPO, CD 34, 3 days in a row of negative tests, and I've run out so I couldn't even POAS this morning.

I was convinced that AF would arrive yesterday, so I've thoroughly enjoyed my anniversary and had drinks 3 days in a row, so now I'm just anxious for AF to arrive

@MrsEG I don't think I have the willpower, 'must not poas!' Maybe there's a poas support group?

I'm getting cramps today, more than the pressure I have been feeling for the last few days. Possibly AF is on the way, hopefully not. Why are the symptoms so similar, it's so blumming annoying!

@PaintingOwls I don't think a few drinks would hurt either way, but FX you get answers soon. Did you have a good anniversary celebration?

Morning...well AF showed up bang on schedule so on to cycle 2 for me 😔. At least I now know my cycles are back to the way they was before my MMC so ever cloud I suppose....

@GemmaJen ha, there really should be!! The temptation is ridiculous. I don’t have them in the house anymore!
I agree - the fact pg symptoms mirror PMS is just cruel, you end up second guessing everything!

@DayDreamer1707 aw hun, that sucks! She's such a bitch! As you say, it's good to know they're back to normal.

Morning all you lovely ladies! I'm now in my TWW! I have 2 HPTs in the house, but I'm determined to not test until Christmas morning if AF doesn't arrive in the meantime!

@MrsR16 Hold out! You can do this!! At least your TWW is the Xmas run up too, to keep your mind occupied :) FX for you, for an amazing Xmas morning surprise!

@MrsEG and @GemmaJen wait until you have missed AF. I am so glad I didn't POAS. Sometimes it can make it harder. I was going to try and hold out till at least Friday but the cow came bang on time.

@MrsR16 yes it's one good thing I suppose. Also next AF is due on my OH birthday so hopefully she doesn't make an appearance then. How amazing would that be as a birthday pressie....yes it will be my pee on a stick but if it's a positive 😂

@PaintingOwls I really doubt a few drinks would hurt. As I understand , it doesn't even filter through to them at that stage? And just think of all the people who get pregnant accidently or don't find out for a while.

@PaintingOwls I wouldn't worry about having a few drinks, you probably need to relax and still enjoy yourself. Hopefully you will figure out what is going on FX x

@PaintingOwls don’t worry about having a few drinks, you don’t share a blood supply with any potential embryo for the first few weeks anyway

I’m somewhere around 7dpo now I think. AF due on Saturday. Not feeling very optimistic.

@MrsLBear we went in August as we wouldn't have been able to cope with the heat! I've been twice, did the Garden Route first time and then Kruger the second time. Absolutely loved it. Wanted to go back with my husband but we decided to have a baby instead 😂 thinking I'm going to test for the first time on Thursday with an IC. 6dpo now and having some cramps and my boobs are slightly sore. Feeling impatient now, just wanna know! How are you getting on?

Started spotting late last night, this morning temp dropped to cover line. That means AF is coming within hours, not pregnant again, not pregnant by Christmas, not pregnant this year, back to only 10 day luteal phase, and 24-day cycles. I am absolutely crushed.

@MrsAW2018 ah the safaris are just amazing. We wanted to do one again this time but we are about to start a massive house renovation so decided the money could be better used elsewhere. I mean we are probably mad TTC with that looming but I've been waiting for years to start.

Well I've had the signs of a chesty/flu since end of last week so my temps are all over the show so I'm struggling to pin point where I'm at. Natural cycles says I ovulate tomorrow. And as of this morning FF said I ovulated 4 days ago...which I 100% didn't as I only got EWCM on Saturday morning for the first time. And also a flashing smiley for the first time. Still having flashing smileys this morning so that's the 3rd one. Feeling twinges but it's like anything am I just reading into it all way too much.

Do you normally get sore boobs pre-af? Did you get positive OPKs this month? Got everything crossed for you!!
I feel your pain, the tww is a killer isn't it. I swear I think about this literally 24/7. Finding Mumsnet such a support though cos I can't talk to friends about it as I've not even told my best friend we are TTC cos she gets married in May and I'm maid of honour so don't want to stress her yet or unnecessarily.

@KatBeCool oh so sorry to hear that. Sending virtual hugs. I know nothing anyone says can help the way you feel right now.

@KatBeCool so sorry hun, I got the visit this morning...as if Mondays aren't rubbish enough. FX we both have better look in January x

Thank you ladies for the support and least I can enjoy Christmas and hope for a BFP in the new year on the OH birthday.

I was thinking of doing the SMEP, pretty sure some of you have either tried this or are doing this. Will I be able to do this with a cycle of 26 days? Any pointers? x

@DayDreamer1707 it doesn't matter how long your cycle is as long as you can find your fertile days and when you ovulate. Apparently my cycles are only 24 days, smep isn't an issue for me, but my body seems to be quite a failure in actually getting pregnant.

@KatBeCool don't think like that, it will happen for you. What cycle are you on?

I am hoping the SMEP will work for me because I know I can get pregnant but unfortunately had a MC. I just wasn't sure if to start the plan on CD6 rather than CD8 with mine being a little shorter...

@MrsAW2018 ooh, fingers crossed this is your cycle! 10dpo is reasonable (if a little early, but hey, you know your own body!)

@KatBeCool oh hun, that does not sound fun. Have you spoken to anyone about your short cycles? Sorry if you answered this before.

@DayDreamer1707 we've been trying since May. I know it's not very long but the problem is that I'm 40, the clock is pounding, I don't have much time left, if any. I'm getting HSG done in January. IVF is a luxury beyond our reach.

@MrsR16 24 days is still considered "normal", 10 day LP is what's bothering me but even that is still within the range of acceptable, although minimum.

@KatBeCool hmm... have you always had a 10 day luteal phase?

@MrsR16 since we started ttc. For a couple of months it was 12 days, after I started thyroids medicine, but now it's back to 10.

Afternoon ladies! Tentatively popping back. The last week or so has been crazy! Job interview last week and started training for it today!! Had a discussion with OH about whether we should wait a few months before trying "properly" again to ensure best maternity benefits etc. Still undecided!!
The way I'm looking at it is that we have been trying for a year, got pg in cycle 8 but lost it unfortunately. Don't see the point in hanging off for a couple of months for it not to have happened anyway? Does that even make send or am I just babbling?
I mean when you think of unplanned pregnancies etc and people getting caught off guard, I'm sure we would manage to get by if we had to.

@DayDreamer1707 sorry about af, the mc is it proves you can concieve so it's now just a matter of time, especially as everything's now back to normal. Fx for a new year bfp x

I feel like I'm walking a tightrope between being positive about my chances this month and falling into a pit of despair. The tww can do one. After yesterday's test I'm trying not to get my hopes up. It's only been a month since the mc, so it would be unlikely to happen now. Ive felt so much pressure with my sister being pg, that I just want to be pg asap. I can't even think of Christmas without getting upset, she'll be close to 20w and showing and I just feel so conflicted, both happy for her and so sad. I guess I thought getting a bfp before Xmas might make it easier to cope. I'm not holding too much hope though. I've got a few tests left so will try and wait till Friday to test. If AF shows up I'd expect it some where between Thursday and Saturday - I don't know what my normal luteal phase is meant to be.
