We’re almost at the limit on thread no.8 so I thought I’d start a new one before that one fills up

@cupcakesandglitter I had scans for PCOS too and the doctor was so dismissive and almost seemed irritated that I was there and just said not PCOS you're ovulating soon (this was in September and I STUPIDLY didn't DTD that week like mad! 😫😫🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️)
Happy for you though that they didn't see anything. What made them send you for testing? Sorry if you've said the reasons why.

MrsLBear · 05/12/2018 21:02

@purplefig I couldn't wait that long I would of done it by now not that I'm encouraging you! In fact waiting is key but I agree if you're 12DPO it could be accurate but I've read where ladies haven't got their BFP till like 18DPO 😫

KatBeCool · 05/12/2018 22:15

@cupcakesandglitter hurray for no pcos! Have you ever had your vitamin levels checked? It's possible to have irregular periods due being low on something, especially vitamin D.

cupcakesandglitter · 05/12/2018 22:55

Thanks @purplefig @MrsR16 @DuchessofPemberley @MrsLBear @KatBeCool I had CD21 bloods that showed I hadn't ovulated yet (that was last cycle) but before that it's because the month we started TTC my cycles messed up - so far they've been 23, 37,27, 31 etc. 31 was last cycle but doesn't count because I had a positive OPK on CD27 but then AF turned up on 5DPO. I've not had vitamins checked - taking pregnacare atm though so didn't think to take any extras? Xx

KatBeCool · 05/12/2018 23:18

@cupcakesandglitter I'm taking extra 3000mg of vitamin D as my levels were quite low in September and there's not much sun exposure to make it better naturally. I'd absolutely get that one checked.

cupcakesandglitter · 05/12/2018 23:53

Okay thanks @KatBeCool I'll definitely ask the doctor when I see him next week. Have you found it's helped with your cycles/changed them in any way? Xx

KatBeCool · 06/12/2018 00:00

@cupcakesandglitter I started extra vitamin D and my thyroid medicine at the same time, I think this is my first cycle when everything is normalized so I'm yet to see the full results in continuation.

CookieWaffle · 06/12/2018 04:02

Hey ladies, hope you're all doing good. It's moving week this week which is why I'm not sleeping at 3am lol. Getting bored of cramps now but this is officially the longest I've held a pregnancy, just over 5 weeks now yay! Though it seems like much longer than that...

@cupcakesandglitter yay on the no PCOS but how frustrating on the no other answers. Hope you find out a bit more soon. I've had a few random cycles, had a 21 day earlier in the year and a 23 day in Oct, but usually 27-28.

DuchessofPemberley · 06/12/2018 08:04

@CookieWaffle congratulations! Hope the move goes well.

Well I’m CD30, another negative test, no sign of AF. I just want it to arrive now so I can start cycle 5 and move on. I’m also full of cold and feel miserable. Hope everyone else is doing ok today 😀

purplefig · 06/12/2018 08:34

Well no need to test as my period turned up almost a week earlier than usual and with none of the usual pre period cramping. So I guess now apparently I do spot? Fed up with it all tbh. Ho ho ho.

DayDreamer1707 · 06/12/2018 08:35

@CookieWaffle so good to hear things are going well and you are so positive. Good Luck with your move!!

@DuchessofPemberley It's the waiting around that kills isn't it. I don't want to test and have that disappointment.

Morning Ladies, today I have decided to not let my emotions get the better of me and try and get back to being positive ha!! Currently on CD23, I haven't done any test as it's too early yet I think, just holding out for AF. Used to have cycles that averaged around 23 and I''m thinking she will be here any day now!!

MrsAW2018 · 06/12/2018 08:35

@MrsLBear sounds like a good plan to do clear blue with FMU and IC in the afternoons that's what I did anyway. My IC lines are very faint now so I'm pretty sure I must have ovulated by now, just hope we're covered. Doing the SMEP so we DTD Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will skip today and then do it tomorrow as well but who knows if it will work but it's worth a try!
I think I've pretty much decided that I'll solely use OPKs rather than temp as well because of not being able to be consistent. This is cycle 6, how about you?

purplefig · 06/12/2018 09:04

Freaking out now as I ovulated either 24th/25th nov (positive opk, ewcm, ovulation pains on one side) and have started my period today. So that gives me a LP of just 10 or 9 days which I think is really short?

starkid · 06/12/2018 09:15

@purplefig - same, I spotted last night and came on today, with no cramps to warn me Sad Flowers
My luteal phase always seems quite short though so not surprising for me, if this different to normal for you?

DuchessofPemberley · 06/12/2018 09:18

@DayDreamer07 it’s not too bad because I feel confident im not pregnant. As I’m ‘late’ according to Clearblue (but not FF which has me due today) im continuing to test because I would need to taper off meds if I was pregnant and the sooner I start the easier for myself and the baby. So I’ll test until AF arrives, but it’s just a precaution. I’m really fairly sure I’m out so I don’t get that sinking feeling when I see “Not Pregnant” flash up.

I had the “bad moment” when I tested a couple of days ago and got the negative. Tuesday was very dark and depressing. I feel so stupid for being so emotional about the whole thing, I know logically I’m in the normal timeframe for trying.

I wish I was more laidback about the whole thing, I really do.

DayDreamer1707 · 06/12/2018 09:45

@DuchessofPemberley that makes sense you having to test, always better to be safe than sorry. I don't want to test because I just think it wont happen this cycle as it's my first proper cycle since MC. It's too early to test anyway and I haven't had any symptoms to make me feel like I could be pregnant and even if I did that could just mean AF is coming.

So sorry to hear of your bad moment, there's nothing worse when you feel like you are being silly for being sad. But you aren't at all, it's so difficult when you are doing everything right and you still feel at lost.

Like everyone we will have our good days and our bad. I've been crazy and crying the past two days and no idea why. Today I feel a little more positive. We just have to know that it will happen for us. I don't think there is any such thing as being laid back when it come to something you REALLY REALLY want.

It's odd because I want AF to come so I can move on and learn more about my cycles now but then I don't want it to come but think I'm silly to get my hopes up xx

MrsR16 · 06/12/2018 13:20

@CookieWaffle Ooh, that sounds good! Fingers crossed this one stays sticky xx

@purplefig that damn AF! She's a real bitch isn't she?

@DayDreamer1707 loving your positivity turn! Chin up 😊 it will happen for us all

DayDreamer1707 · 06/12/2018 13:25

@MrsR16 I was definitely having my moment that's why I am convinced AF is on her way 😂😂

MrsR16 · 06/12/2018 13:43

@DayDreamer1707 lol! 😂 you're not out till she arrives! You never know what's gonna happen

DuchessofPemberley · 06/12/2018 13:47

AF arrived! Interestingly FF got the prediction correct with all the same information as my Clearblue Digital Monitor (except that also measures estrogen). I know it’s only my first month tracking on FF but just interesting to note for anyone considering the CBDM.

I have a good feeling about cycle 5. I am going to think positive.

MrsR16 · 06/12/2018 13:49

@DuchessofPemberley ah, I'm sorry about AF! How far out was the Clearblue? Cycle 5 is where I'm at right now. Fingers crossed for you!!

DayDreamer1707 · 06/12/2018 13:57

@MrsR16 It's my first cycle since my MC so I just think my body will still be too all over the place. Going to try and hold out for AF for another week which will put me at 30 days, previous CD where 23-26. But I've had cramps, skin issues and emotional moments which is what I normal get when shes rearing her ugly head 😂😂😂

@DuchessofPemberley least you know that FF works for you, never temp and not sure i'd remember too. Sorry AF has arrived but least you seem positive x

MrsLBear · 06/12/2018 14:01

@MrsAW2018 have you done SMEP before? Erm well this is probably my first cycle of doing it 100% properly with OPKs and temps and DTD regularly. But we stopped suing contraception in June.
Did you get strong lines?
I'm yet to even get a strong line or a smiley face on an OPK! Dunno if I'm doing something wrong 🤦🏼‍♀️

DuchessofPemberley · 06/12/2018 15:01

@MrsR16 it was only out like a day in fairness. But it didn’t catch my ovulation peak for two of the six months I’ve been tracking, (I tracked for one month before TTC). But it’s expensive to be making those mistakes. I just hate the idea of someone saving to get it because they think it will help. The sticks are expensive, you’re supposed to get two cycles out of one box but if your a day or two late ovulating that won’t happen.

I like mine, because I could never read ordinary OPKs which I tried first and I like gadgets, but it does nothing you can’t do with cheap OPKs and a tracking app.

MrsAW2018 · 06/12/2018 15:29

@MrsLBear no this is our first month doing SMEP but I have read quite good things about it. Really hoping it works for me! I got some really strong lines this month. I didn't actually track ovulation last month as we were on our honeymoon so couldn't take all the paraphernalia to America with us😂 so it was nice to catch it this month! What cycle day are you?
