Hello beautiful ladies. First of all, I have pcos....i was told I would have alot of trouble ttc... And boy were they right. Every month of a bfn rips another little piece of my heart out 😞 im desperate for another baby, and I constantly think about being pregnant and how exciting it will be and having a little baby in our lives. So I thought I would make a thread for all of us out there who feel this way and are struggling and just need some support and some friends. Let's support each other, because it's always nice to have other people in the same boat to talk to. So come join, and go on our difficult journeys together and hopefully this thread is going to be filled with the sweet sights of BIG FAT POSITIVES before too long 🤗😊♥️👶🎉

I feel this. Pregnancies and babies everywhere and still no bfp for me. Sending love to you.

LochNessMumster87 · 24/11/2018 21:01

Heartbreaking isn't it Sad sending love back x

Count me in!

Trying for 2.5 years after miscarriage at 12 weeks (actually I started bleeding the day before our 12 week scan 😥)

Since then I've been poked and prodded, scanned, x-rayed, stabbed with multiple needles which has led to a diagnosis of PCOS. We've had no success with inotisol, clomid and metformin.

And so at our last consultant review (in September) she has recommended IVF and I am totally lost! We can't be put on the waiting list (which is 6 months long) until my BMI is lower than 30 - I'm a stone away - and DH stops smoking!

Still hoping we get our BFP, although it is highly unlikely!

❤️❤️

LochNessMumster87 · 24/11/2018 23:09

Aw @clouddreamer I can't imagine how that must of felt 😞 hugs I remember all the tests I had to go through before I was diagnosed. Ive never had regular periods, going through puberty were always told your periods regulate as time goes on and what a "normal cycle is" but for us with pcos that's just fantasy. My son was a completely unexpected miracle and since then nothing. I suspected for a long time I had pcos but it wasn't until about a year ago I was diagnosed, add extremely temperamental acne with that and I'm just a disaster ☹️
Don't ever give up hope, just remember whats at the end of it all. And I'm always here to have a rant to, or anything you need. And hopefully some more ladies will join us too 😊 x

Sending love to you all ladies and lots of baby dust.

It's been over 3 years of ttc with a mmc at 12 weeks last year September. I really had given up but the festive mood has made me a little hopefully again. 6/7 dpo at the moment so only time will tell if mother nature is finally kind to me . hope we all have bfps for Christmas

Sshsecretenclosed · 25/11/2018 10:38

@Mimilicious013 you are at the same point of your cycle as me!

NoseringGirl · 25/11/2018 11:38

Hello all! I'm another one with PCOS though I've been incredibly fortunate and have two children. They both took a lot of TTC and a little medical help. We've decided to push our luck and try for number 3. We started in May and was surprised to get pregnant on my second cycle but that ended in an early miscarriage. I had a short cycle straight after and then a cycle that lasted over 90 days. I'm CD14 in my current cycle and waiting to hopefully ovulate. Planning on going back to the GP at the end of the year to see about going back on metformin. I saw her during my super long cycle and she was very supportive which is good. I find doctors can be quite hit and miss when it comes to fertility.
Good luck everyone!

LondonKez · 25/11/2018 12:21

I'm so sorry for your losses. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been. I hope we all get our happy news soon.

I am TTC my first. Currently on cycle 12. Got my hopes up last month when I had spotting instead of a full flow af, but it wasn't to be. That was the first time in 11 months that my period didn't show up right on time.

Spoke to the fertility specialist GP at my practice and she won't refer me for tests until at least 18 months of trying because my cycles are regular and I had a termination previously (when I was 17... I'm now 32!). It gave me hope and I thought she was being kind, but the more I think about it the more ridiculous it seems that my GP is basing my gynae health on my fertility 15 years ago!

Sending baby dust to you all xx

LochNessMumster87 · 25/11/2018 12:38

Mimilicious013 welcome Smile wouldn't a bunch of Christmas bfps be just amazing! Today and yesterday I've been peeing alot, like one minute I'm OK the next I'm absolutely bursting! I thought maybe uti but no pain and my pee is clear. If it continues I'm going to go doctors during the week but hopefully just a good sign. I have lower back pain and full, sore feeling in lower abdomen too so fingers crossed...not just for me but for all of us! I'm only 5/6 dpo so dying to test. We will probably be testing around the same time 😁 x

NoseringGirl with having pcos that is the thing I worry about the most. How difficult it is to get pregnant and finally getting it and then it ending in mc. It terrifies me because I was told its very common in us with pcos 😞 I really can't imagine how awful it must feel to go through that and I hope I never have to. Welcome to the group, praying for a bfp and a super sticky bean for you 💖

LondonKez you have to be trying for 18 months? I thought it was a year. That's ridiculous. When you want a baby 18 months can feel like forever,. Hopefully doesn't get to that stage and you get your bfp soon 🤞 and welcome also, were all here for each other.

Baby dust to all of us! 🎉

Hi ladies.

We have been trying for over a year. I'm 11dpo and my breasts are the biggest and most painful they have ever been which I'm hoping is a good sign. I know I can probably test but I'm so scared it's a bfn I can't bring myself to do it!!

I hope the Christmas miracles come with the bfp's for everyone.

LochNessMumster87 · 25/11/2018 12:56

sal1987 omg you need to test! That sounds very promising! And welcome 🤗 x

Hey ladies!

Hope we are all well on this chilly Sunday morning! I love Sundays like these; lighting the fire and just chilling!!

Not feeling very positive about this cycle 😔 it's cd26 and I've had sore boobs since last night with accompanied lower back pain. All my usual signs of AF 😥

But it's really strange that even though I know it's AF signs, my obsessed bit of my brain has convinced me that it's pregnancy signs instead! What's wrong with me?!?

❤️❤️❤️

NoseringGirl · 25/11/2018 13:03

LochNess thank you, losses are something I've always worried about too because I've heard the same about PCOS. This was the first one I've had though and while it was very upsetting, I feel fortunate that I've not been on any birth control since 2011 and that's the only loss I've had. One of the things I read about PCOS and miscarriage is that it's possibly related to the insulin resistance so I try to keep my diet low GI in case that helps. It definitely helps my fertility. I'm struggling with it at the moment though, so many tempting Christmas foods!

LondonKez great that you've got a fertility specialist GP but I'm not sure I'd be happy with them basing fertility on your records from when you were 17 either! The time when testing is done seems to vary. When we were struggling the first time around the GP was very keen to get testing done early on and was fab but said the fertility clinic wouldn't see us until it had been 2 years.

Sal sounds promising, good luck! When do you think you'll test?

LochNessMumster87 · 25/11/2018 13:38

NoseringGirl I was actually told by the doctor I needed to put on a bit of weight, I assumed I was a healthy weight for my size but I've never been a big eater, I'm a nibbler lol I try to eat as good as I can but sometimes I just can't resist a Chinese or a pizza, but they suggested since I'm a snacker I should snack on nuts and cheese so I have been. I hope its been helping, my pcos has always been pretty bad and there is a big difference with how you treat your body. It makes a huge difference.

OP posts:
NoseringGirl · 25/11/2018 13:54

Clouddreamer I've got my fire on today too, perfect Sunday! Hope AF stays away for you, I always have that bit of hope too even when it seems unlikely. I enjoy those few days before AF where there's a chance still!

LochNess nuts and cheese are a good choice. I always stick to full fat foods as well as they tend to be lower in sugar. Obviously weight can be a factor (both high and low) but I think what you eat can really impact on
PCOS either way.

sal1987 · 25/11/2018 14:03

I don't know when to test tbh. My OH is working all day today and then I'm back at work tomorrow so don't know when is best to do it. I don't want to be on my own to potentially deal with a bfn!!

LochNessMumster87 · 25/11/2018 18:49

NoseringGirl Well I've been really hungry the past couple of days, mostly for crisps and cheese lol just can't seem to get enough x

sal1987 test whenever you feel ready, just let us know the answer! Praying for a bfp for you 🤞 x

Clouddreamer · 25/11/2018 20:02

@NoseringGirl
That's so nice to say ❤️ DH says to be positive, but it's so so hard! I would love to see a BFP, put I know that it is very unlikely for us ❤️❤️

Mseddy · 25/11/2018 20:12

Hi, can I join?

I feel like a slight fraud as I've only been TTC for 6 months, but I think bottling up how I'm feeling about it because it's "normal" to try for at least a year is making me feel like crap because we arnt "normal".
My DH had chemo so it is very unlikely we will be able to conceive normally, but we are trying naturally for now whilst I continue to loose weight to be in optimum position for IVF should it come to that.
Every month feels like the small bit of optimism I have for conceiving naturally is dashed, and I feel a little robbed of the excitement of TTC that people feel initially. I'm starting to struggle relating with the other threads where people don't have issues, like I'm starting a race from 3 miles back.
I hope my bable makes sense, and I haven't offended anyone too much by struggling so early on in the game.

Fx for BFP's

LochNessMumster87 · 26/11/2018 09:15

Mseddy I'm sure nobody's offended 😊 6 months can feel like forever when your ttc. Whether it's 6 months or 6 years it's still heartbreaking. Your welcome here don't worry x

Ladies I had a very strange experience last night, I don't know if it means anything but I was sitting on the couch watching TV and I got the most weird feeling in my lower abdomen. It didn't hurt.... It felt like alot of pressure and it took my breath away... Literally but just for a second. I have no idea what it was but I just sat there like wow... What was that 😐🤔 I hope it's a good sign but I suppose you can turn anything into a possible sign when your looking for one. And today, not only do I still have back pain but my hips hurt too! X

OP posts:
NoseringGirl · 26/11/2018 09:41

LochNess I hope it's a good sign for you! TTC definitely makes you much more aware of everything your body is doing doesn't it?

Mseddy 6 months can feel like an eternity when TTC. Especially if you've got concerns before you even start. Hope you get that BFP soon!

I wasn't going to do OPKs this month but cracked yesterday because I was getting EWCM. It wasn't quite positive but it was dark. Had a temp drop this morning but the OPK was a lot lighter. Will do another one this afternoon but worried my body is giving up on trying to ovulate already this month and I'll be in for another long anovulatory cycle.
