Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

Guys how long does ovulation pain normally last for? I've had it for a couple of hours now? Is that normal?

Also another question. 😌

Are opks positive when pregnant?

Mine can last a few days @pinkflower22, and I've heard that they can be but it maybe doesn't work for everyone.

@PastaSauceHoarder sounds like we may both ovulate earlier. I’ve been getting ‘good’ lines on my negatives too. Yeah we’re abit more relaxed about DTD this month too. Are you all sorted for Christmas? Exactly this thread is really helpful for support when our other half’s aren’t really getting it... ✨🎄🎅🏼☃️🎊✨

@pastasaucehoarder yes i take folic acid, and I took prenatal vits for pregnancy then continued for bf and I never stopped taking them since stopping feeding 2 months ago. I would find it hard to remember too but i have wee weekly things i fill with days of the week on them so i dont forget (yes im a total wee granny 😂) what cd are you? So great that your getting strong negatives!

@mfbroome how did your test go? Anything on your opks yet?? I tested 3 times today, this morning, this afternoon and just now, no positives. Everytime I expect to see it but nothing. I really like Ovia to help with where im at in my cycle but I do feel like Ovia has made it a bit worse because im following it expecting to ovulate before the high fertile lines decrease. If that makes sense. Yes I agree opk's defo messing with my head lol

How dark are your OPKs? Mine are crazy dark but not positive yet. It would be really early if it were in the next few days, last month it was CD15 - I'm CD9 now, are you CD8?

Awww thankyou! I hope that it goes quickly. I ovulated yesterday I think, as had darkest opk yesterday morning and pains In the evening!

@Scarletrose18 you must be tired after all that painting. Hope you manage to have a rest tonight. I’ve didn’t make it to the market, unfortunately woke up unwell this morning and it’s taken a hold. Dh has been looking out for ds and I’ve tried to rest. It’s been difficult though as I’ve found it hard not to get involved at times when it comes to ds. I’m my own worst enemy. I’ve jiat had a lemsip and a olbas oil Vicks steam treatment to try and blast it away. I get you’ll get your +opk any day now. I have a good feeling that you will.

@PastaSauceHoarder you’re lovely and organised. I was supposed to wrap up today but didn’t get one gift wrapped with being unwell. Oh well there’s always next week. I’m aiming to have them finished before next weekend. I’ll get them done when I’m feeling better. Your dd has been so well behaved, ds hasn’t touched any presents either that we have under tree from relatives. He does however wonder around the house with random tree ornaments lol but he doesn’t do any harm bless him. My opks have been similar to yours, I’ve had a second line every time I’ve tested and darkish negative but not positive like yours. I ovulated cd19 last cycle and this is cd8. I wonder if we’ll boh ovulate way early or on time.

Awww no @coco im sorry you feel rotton again. I understand what you mean, only recently I have been able to let dh take over things with ds sometimes because im so used to doing them. Thank you for saying that. I really hope so. Not too long until your positive opk 🙂

@Scarletrose18 oooh that sounds delicious! I love Carby things! Potatoes yum and pasta especially. Just had toast and omelette for dinner today. Quick thing. Had no time to cook, bit bored of traditional Asian curries 😂

@PastaSauceHoarder @Cocobana I had negative test yday looking back at my week of testing I would say Friday was my strongest. I had ewcm the last today's and pains last night?! So I reckon yday maybe??
But who really knows. We didn't dtd last night though which had annoyed me a bit 😂
The constant changing of the Ovia app is driving me insane aswell lol. Every time I update my data with symptoms it changes my days 😂😂 anyway it is what it is right?! Can't do much more than I am lol

We've just been DTD every other day but when it comes to ovulation day we'll try each day either side as well (and maybe one more for good luck! 😂)

No your right it's defo not a strong enough line, maybe it'll come tomo 😂😂 I'm so confused though.
