Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

@pinkflower22 yay for +part opk! As @Scarlet said if you could get chance to DTD today and tomorrow it would increase your chance! ✨✨✨

@Scarletrose18 thanks I hope so! Aww thanks for the tips, I’ll try rest in between and just see how I am. I’m feeling better than I did this morning so hopefully I’m beating it before it properly takes hold! I take a multivitamin everyday but i’ll check if it has b6 in or not. Ooo interesting that it helps alleviate pms, lol if I tell my dh that he’ll be ordering me a mega dosage 🤣
The darker opk is a good sign,your positive is def on it’s way! I think you’re supposed to eat the nuts during the TWW to increase chances of implantation if I remember correctly what @pasta told us.

@Scarlet Forgot to add did you enjoy your breakfast? And wow a pass the parcel for 20 kids, that’s a lot of wrapping layers required unless you’ll just make a short game of it lol.

@PastaSauceHoarder hangover are the worst! Have you had any hangover cures? Hope you recover soon.

Tree up and we are snuggled down watching tele. I actually need to get up to do chores but I love the weekends when dd is off school and we can just laze!

I tested quite late today and it's not as strong as yday?
My Ovia app has updated itself using my data input? My most fertile being today?!! But I haven't had any other symptoms 🤔
Still waiting for that strong line!!

When you talk about having a child and say something like, "can't wait for a child". Does your partner say much afterwards? Is he as exited as you?

@Mfbroome aww thanks, I haven’t got any worse at least. Hope your cold gets better, it’s realky hard once one gets it for the whole family not or catch it isn’t it. I’m really surprised ds didn’t catch it off dh and that I haven’t. When I woke up this morning I thought oh no I’m catching it but now I think I might be beating it before it takes a hold (fc). I love being all cosy with the tree up watching films, it’s what Christmas is for!
No positives just yet but I’m only on CD7 so i’ll probably have to wait another week. You might just ovulate alittle later this month so don’t worry. I thought I missed it last month and I hadn’t I just didn’t get a positive opk until CD19! You’ll get your positive soon I’m sure you will. What CD are you on today?

@pinkflower22 hope you get to DTD tonight. When I mention about a second dc dh is on the same page. I think we’re both ready for another dc now and can see ds would benefit from a sibling. Maybe your dh doesn’t like to say too much until it happens. Some people don’t like to curse it before it happens if you get what I mean.

Yes I see what you mean. Maybe that is the case. I'll ask him why he never says much or seems as excited as me.

@pinkflower22 ds is 21 months and I think he’d really benefit from a sibling. It sort of feels like another dc would complete our little family nicely.
Have a convo with your dh, I bet he just feels alittle nervous. I know when I got pregnant with ds my dh was super excited but also so nervous as well. When we would talk about it he didn’t really say much either come to think of it. He says more now with it being a second child. Mind you we’ve both only discussed it more lately as we weren’t quite ready before.

I'm getting a bit worried actually because I'm worried if I'll have enough womb lining to sustain a pregnancy this month. As I messed it up by taking two contraceptive pills at the beginning of the month, and then bled for two days after stopping the two pills.

@pinkflower22 ds was conceived in the first month after coming off the pill so don’t give up hope just yet! I hope December is a good month to all of us ✨✨✨✨ lots of baby dust

@pinkflower22 hi! My dh is excited about another baby but I don't think he understands the seriousness of the situation that we gotta do it when we gotta do it if u know what u mean!hea like yeah it'll happen when it does 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had a tiny bit of ewcm today and my darkest line really yday and nothing much today 🤔 maybe it was yday, we dtd so I'm covered. Dh seems pretty keen to complete the fertile week mission 😂🙈 we will see 🕺🏻

@mfbroome yes today is my most fertile day too acording to Ovia then from tomorrow it goes down to 9.5 then Monday down again and so forth.
My opks are basically blank again tonight🤔🤨😕 I never got a positive though. Hoping tomorrow. Trying not to worry.

@pinkflower my ds was concieved first cycle off pill too and all went well so as coco says dont give up hope! 🙂

@Mfbroome @Cocobana I've asked him about whether he things if he talks about certain things they'll go wrong, and he says he doesn't think so. I haven't specifically mentioned children to him though

@Scarletrose18 thank you, hope so, I felt unwell this morning then not too bad through day today then not so good again at the moment. I’m hoping after a good nights sleep i’ll be fine again tomorrow. I am planning on Christmas market and actually starting my present wrapping tomorrow all being well. Hoping you get your positive opk soon, i’m sure you will tomorrow.

@pinkflower22 aww he’s prob just abit nervous, it’s amazing but scary having your first dc and I think we all just handle in different ways.

Oh and your dh sounds similar to mine @Mfbroome he thinks it will happen when it’s meant to be. Lol if I left it to him we’d be DTD on all the wrong days, not taking vitamins and prob conceive in 2025!

@Cocobana 😂😂😂 same! We have been "taking it easy" since July I said last week it's time for some structure 😂👍🏼
We had a sit down chat and I made him look at my app 😂 now I feel like he has accepted the challenge and is taking it more seriously 🙈 we will see!

Haha @Mfbroome structure is def needed. My dh is so laid back and I hope he takes he fertility window more seriously this month. I think I should make him look at the ovia app too lol or maybe I’ll just randomly send him screenshots of my calendar 🤣 At least your dh is taking things more seriously now. Dh looks at me like when I explain my opks to him! He also has not been pro active in taking his man vitamins lol i have been reminding him the importance of men taking vitamins too when ttc. Yes this is our second cycle ttc and I’m ready for it a few months as know it does for most people on average. What cycle will this be for you?

Sounds like you're covered for your most fertile day @Scarletrose18, don't worry! You might have missed your surge and not caught it on the OPK, but if not then fingers crossed for a positive tomorrow!

I'm glad to see that we're all on the Ovia app! 😂 I love it, its like my bible at the mo.

Also I love all your information about the vitamins and so on, I'm definitely going to invest in some next cycle of this one is a bust. Have you been taking folic acid? I've been on that for a while (though I've been lacking a little lately!)

@Cocobana have you started your OPKs for this cycle? I started today, got a very dark line (not a positive though) so I'm wondering if I'll ovulate early this month. We're DTD every other day though so hopefully that should be enough until I get my positive!

My Ovia app showed the day before my positive OPK to be the most fertile so maybe tomorrow is your lucky one! Fingers crossed!! 🤞🏻

Its so nice to see you back on this thread, @pinkflower22! Maybe your DH is a little nervous, sorry if you've said but are you TTC #1?

When we found out we were expecting DD my DH was totally freaked out. 😨 We'd always said we wanted children but she was a surprise baby and he was only 22 when he found out he was going to be a dad, so I totally expected his reaction to be honest. But oh my god he is totally in love with our little girl now, he completely fell into fatherhood like a natural. She has him wrapped around her finger! 😂
I just don't think men totally understand the TTC and pregnancy part of having children, but then thats what this thread is for!
