@sunshine1987 have a wonderful honeymoon xxxx

Rachael321 · 11/11/2018 09:42

I need to make more of an effort at keeping up with this thread it really does move so fast!
So I'm 10dpo and the symptom spotting has started!! I have felt totally awful the last 2 days, niggling stomach cramps, backache, exhausted, queasy, headachey!! Trying to convince myself it's a bug or a cold and failing miserably! The temptation to poas is so high. Thankfully I don't have any in the house just now making it easier to wait

EltzBee · 11/11/2018 09:47

@sunshine1987 have a wonderful honeymoon! We're CD13 and trying every other day. But it only takes once!

SullyWifey · 11/11/2018 09:56

@EltzBee And @EltzBee don't worry ladies, it happens with me and DH to. I was getting upset about it but spoke to him about it and he feels really bad, but because for us we haven't done it that much for years it's a lot of pressure. I know we have to go through pregnancy and childbirth but to be fair this whole baby making part is largely down to then performing! Iv learnt to not get hung up on it and just do as much as we can. As much as I want a baby I hate the idea of it being so forced and neither of us actually enjoying making it! Glad to hear your charms worked second time round though, any tips haha!!

@sunshine1987 Ooo have an amazing honeymoon. You have timed that well with FW!! Wishing you all the baby dust.

@Rachael321 Fingers crossed for you honey. Yes try to hold out POAS long as possible! xxxx

sunshine1987 · 11/11/2018 10:00

Thank you ladies, here’s hoping for a honeymoon baby 😉 @crossfitgirl @eltzbee @sullywifey

mrsof20118 · 11/11/2018 10:25

Good on you for holding out @Rachael321. Any ideas when you might yest?

Have a fab honeymoon @sunshine1987

MrsAW2018 · 11/11/2018 10:27

Hi everyone,

Hope you don’t mind me joining in this thread!

I’m cycle #5 ttc baby number 1. I wasn’t able to do OPKs this month as I’ve been on my honeymoon but according to my apps I’m either 11dpo or 8dpo. Not sure when to start testing. AF is either due Wednesday or Friday. Not sure why there’s a discrepancy between the apps given they’ve all had the same data! Not feeling too positive about this cycle given that I didn’t catch ovulation. It’s so disheartening every time AF arrives though 😔

FivexFive · 11/11/2018 10:33

@Crossfitgirl, nooo don't stop the essays! I love em :) Yeah, our plan is not to track with sticks etc in Dec. Just enjoy the festive season :) We're thinking that from the 1st we'll just try to dtd as much as possible, but not pressure ourselves into getting down if we're not in the mood.

I'm due on the last week of Nov and actually go away with some ladies from work around that time.... so might cave and test early so I know what the crack is before I go. Pretty sure it's not happened though!

Hadaley · 11/11/2018 10:36

Cross-posted with another thread, but I thought I'd selfishly join two. ^^

I'm new here, 33, husband is 34 and we are TTC our first. (I'm sorry in advance for lack of acronym knowledge).

I've not been on birth control for seven years (condoms all the way), but I did have to get off medication. I have an auto-immune disease and my regular meds are not compatible with baby making. This also means we are feeling a lot of pressure to conceive soon, because the longer I am off my meds, the more likely I'll be causing longterm damage to my body. It doesn't help my cycles are really long - between 33 and 36 days usually. I tried to track ovulation naturally for a while, with body temping and cervical mucus - but unsurprisingly this is all over the place.

Anyway, all traces of meds have left my body now, and this is our first cycle really TTC. Used Clearblue OPKs and tested positive for an LH surge on the 3rd of november, so I guess I am about 7 days DPO? We managed to DTD the evening before my LH surge (happy timing) and did it the evening of again for good measure, so the odds we hit the window are fairly good I think!

Of course like a fool I am symptom spotting; I had a lot of acid reflux on Friday, strange cramps and aches. On the other hand, I get hellish PMS every cycle with all sorts of symptoms (and I have an auto-immune condition so lol weird things happen in my body all the time).

Plz send baby dust. Thanks ;-)

stormtrooperjulian · 11/11/2018 10:44

Have a lovely honeymoon @sunshine1987

Welcome @MrsAW2018 and @Hadaley

My rhr has risen and I have my usual post ovulation pinching so it’s definitely happened now, I guess I’m now 1dpo. Dh and I can go back to dtd just because we want to, rather than because I’m fertile so we have to, which is much nicer!

Boo2you · 11/11/2018 10:59

So true I conceived my DD while we were waiting fir our furst IVF + PGD appt they tell you to be careful so we were but because we were not Ttc I think that’s why we fell pregnant it totally took the pressure off - we had to cancel all the assisted conception stuff! X

Rachael321 · 11/11/2018 12:46

@mrsof20118 AF due on Friday so might try and hang off til Saturday

Delilah7 · 11/11/2018 12:53

I'm starting to panic. I read that these apps go off 28 day regular cycle which I was before mc. However the 2 cycles before getting pregnant again I was 33 days. I'm scared I'm actually only going to be 5 weeks and a few days pregnant at my scan when I thought I'd be 6 weeks and a few days 😭 xxxxx

OP posts:
stormtrooperjulian · 11/11/2018 13:22

@Delilah7 do you know when you ovulated? I’d add two weeks to that date and work from there.
How are you feeling? Try to stay calm, distract yourself with a funny movie or find some stand up on Netflix, or have a nice relaxing bath Flowers

Delilah7 · 11/11/2018 13:28

@stormtrooperjulian no idea but I'm guessing week commencing 15th Oct. which would make me 5 weeks something when I scan :( which they won't normally scan before 6 even at private x x

OP posts:
stormtrooperjulian · 11/11/2018 13:30

@Delilah7 if you’re unsure then would it be worth postponing the scan for another week? Would save you the stress of not seeing anything on the scan if it’s too early. What does your dh think?

Delilah7 · 11/11/2018 13:31

@stormtrooperjulian he took the stance of if it's all ok this time what does it matter if it's a week earlier than we thought or whatever. I might do that I'm gonna speak to scan people tomorrow and a midwife and see what they say x

OP posts:
stormtrooperjulian · 11/11/2018 13:45

@Delilah7 that’s a good idea, they’ll know the best thing to do. You get your blood test results tomorrow don’t you?

Delilah7 · 11/11/2018 13:54

@stormtrooperjulian I do which I'm now even more worried about x

OP posts:
ValidUser · 11/11/2018 16:07

Pretty sure I'm out. 11dpo. AF due tomorrow. Some spotting. FRER blankety blank.

On to cycle 5 and HSG!

TTC FIRST BABY THREAD NO.7
TTC FIRST BABY THREAD NO.7
Hadaley · 11/11/2018 16:13

Sorry to hear that, ValidUser. If I may ask, an HSG, what does that test for? And is after four cycles not early to worry / test?

(Since I am new, and there have been so many pages of discussion already, I'd love to get to know everyone a little bit.)

ValidUser · 11/11/2018 16:26

Hello @Hadaley - I'm 28 and have a high FSH so want to sort things sooner rather than later.

The HSG will make sure my tubes are open (I know I have scarring there from peritonitis in childhood).

Looking forward to knowing more about my chances!

Hadaley · 11/11/2018 16:40

Ah right! Did you test your FSH yourself? My GP is very reluctant to do any tests until a year has passed.

Yes, getting answers is great! Good luck with the x-ray!

ValidUser · 11/11/2018 18:05

My gp sent them (Ireland, private patient). But in fairness, it was just added on to another bunch of checks I needed (history of severe anaemia).

FlapJackered · 11/11/2018 23:41

@ValidUser sorry for the bfn, there is still a chance though. X

@sunshine1987 have an amazing honeymoon! Where are you off to? 🤞🏻for a honeymoon baby!

@EltzBee you're not alone - that happens to DH sometimes too now, and like your DH never happened before. I think it is a lot of pressure on them. Well done on turning it around though!

We have just started Dtd every other day. Starting opks tomorrow. I am just hoping ovulation turns up sooner rather than waiting as long as last cycle. It is exhausting! 😩
