@purplefig hah, here's how it went with DH about doing semen analysis - I said "Here's phone number, call it, schedule it, and I don't want to hear what you think about doing it in a cup". Obviously moaning ensued to which I responded "Don't care". 😂

ValidUser · 09/11/2018 18:11

So if I'm ovulating, and my eggs are good and young, am I right in thinking, if my tubes are ok, I could conceive naturally?

I'm obsessing, but with some evidence behind me! 😂

sunshine1987 · 09/11/2018 18:24

@validuser definetely, would be no reason why not. How long have you been trying for? x

ValidUser · 09/11/2018 18:25

@sunshine1987 just 4 months, but I'm 28 and my FSH is 10!

sunshine1987 · 09/11/2018 18:30

@validuser but (and this is just me assuming) if you’re ovulating and your eggs are good then FSH high on its own (from what I’ve read) isn’t massively as bad as we think. I’d speak to someone and ask though if you’re worried xx

Boo2you · 09/11/2018 18:31

It's really hard until you actually feel the baby move coz you don't know if everything's ok and you can't feel them until about 16-20 weeks you just have to wait fir scans and checking you still have symptoms of pregnancy. Even when you can del them move you don't tend to worry less it just makes you worry if they haven't moved for a bit!! I'm sure you'll be fine OP

ValidUser · 09/11/2018 18:35

@sunshine1987 I agree! I'm a (medical but not fertility) doctor and I spoke to a fertility nurse today. It makes sense but I'm just panicking!

HSG week after next. Will know about my fallopian tubes then. Might have some clarity after that.

sunshine1987 · 09/11/2018 19:18

@validuser I know it’s hard but try not to stress until you have all the information. I’ve just tried to pretend I wasn’t giving any bad news and going on as normal until someone categorically tells me it can’t happen naturally x

purplefig · 09/11/2018 19:19

@KatBeCool haha good for you, that seems like a far better approach!

purplefig · 09/11/2018 19:26

@Boo2you cor blimey you've certainly been through a lot Flowers how're you holding up? Positive OPK is great news! Isn't it pretty normal to ovulate later on if you've got a longer cycle?

rj995 · 09/11/2018 21:07

@purplefig thanks so much for this, bed time reading. & for the OPK info, I guess everyone is different

Boo2you · 09/11/2018 21:28

@purplefig Think I’m doing ok now think the complication we’re the worst bit tbh - haemorrhaging for 4 weeks with the Dr telling me I’m not a priority and it’s just a period (a male Dr - the blood was bright red and just had 1 big bleed a day and no other blood!) anyway once I started passing out he finally did a blood test and realised I wasn’t exaggerating I only had half the amount of oxygen in my blood than I should have had to have 3 emergency blood transfusions and they had to temporarily block the artery to my womb!!(don’t worry tho this isn’t normal it’s extremely rare the Dr who did the op had only ever seen 1 other person with this in his 25 year career!) It is normal to ovulate later with a longer cycle it’s just that with my other pregnancies I conceived 2 weeks after my period despite my cycles being 5 and 6 weeks respectively?! Hope you’re doing ok!

MrsR16 · 09/11/2018 21:56

Hi ladies, apologies I've been a bit aloof this week! I've been away on a course. Straight into fertile week though and I must say that DH has been surprising me since I got home this afternoon! 😂

FivexFive · 10/11/2018 08:38

Ladies, I have 'hidden' the smiley stick so next month won't be tempted! What started out as a solid cycle of regular deed doing promptly went to shit as soon as the static face appeared Thursday... haven't dtd since then! Not sure what happened really, I think even though dh says he wants to know (and probably means it at the time) knowing it is The Window and we 'should be' getting down, just puts him off, maybe just too much pressure/too 'scheduled'??

What gets me down is thinking, if I hadn't used them, maybe we'd have just kept to every other day... we might have missed it anyway, but would have been better than nothing! We did it the night before, but don't think it's our month now :(

So! Just need af to show in a couple of weeks then it's on to Dec. We've already decided, no sticks, no timing. Just Christmassy things and lots of sex!

Sorry for the rant. How are all you gals? Anyone testing this morning?? Anyone got weekend plans? Xx

YogaPants4 · 10/11/2018 09:20

Hi girls been following this thread for a while....i saw some of you were worried about low progesterone results, Ive had 2 tests done. First was really low at 10 second time it was 20.6, had my first apt at the nhs fertility clinic this week and the doctor there told me from those numbers she was happy that i was ovulating. I thought they were too low....but she didnt think so! I think my
Numbers were lower than the ones ive seen on here x

sunshine1987 · 10/11/2018 09:24

I just can’t get the mojo this month to get to it, I thought we’d take it easier and no SMEP until I got my next results back but I think that’s just made it all worse as feel this month has no purpose. I feel like I’ve gotten a bit “well I’m not going to get pregnant so what’s the point” 🙈 It’s still only cycle day 13 and I don’t ovulate until day 19 so there’s still time and we’re off on holiday tomorrow, I just need a kick up the bum x

sunshine1987 · 10/11/2018 09:26

@yogapants4 oooo that’s interesting! I’ve not had my numbers from them but was told my progesterone was too low to have ovulated. Will ask them for the actual data. What a relief for you though x

YogaPants4 · 10/11/2018 09:32

Its so difficult! The internet had told me i wasnt ovulating....but the dr told
Me she was happy from those numbers that i was...and that was the fertility place ao i
Would hope her
Opinion was expert! Maybe You should call the dr and get your numbers...

sunshine1987 · 10/11/2018 10:21

@yogapants4 I’ve got an appointment on the 21st to discuss my next option so will bring it up then, thank you though 😊 that’s really useful x

stormtrooperjulian · 10/11/2018 13:30

@FivexFive the night before should be enough, the swimmers can live for a few days inside you, so don’t give up on the month yet!

@ValidUser hopefully that will show that your tubes are all good, then you’ll know that there’s no reason for you not to conceive naturally and it’s just a matter of waiting for it to happen!

I think I ov’ed either yesterday or this morning. We dtd last night and the night before so hopefully that’s got it covered, so on to the tww.

mrsof20118 · 11/11/2018 08:55

Anybody testing this weekend? 4dpo and will test early next Sunday I think. W a s hoping to hold out until af due day but I definitely don't have the willpower x

EltzBee · 11/11/2018 08:57

Morning ladies. Well last night was interesting. Trying to DTD every other day til after ovulation. DH lost his mojo during things....tried again later using my best feminine charms and things worked then!
Happened a couple of times lately. Not sure why. He's excited to make a baby so guessing it is just pressure as we are DTD a lot more than is normal for us.

CD13 but not had a positive opk or cm yet.

Crossfitgirl · 11/11/2018 09:05

@yogapants4 thank you for the info on progesterone levels that has definitely made me feel better!
@purplefig I have finally read that emotional labour link! It's SOOO true!
@fivexfive I think they do feel the pressure, maybe try a month without tracking - we did similar last month (nearly every other day for about 2 weeks between period and AF) and although I did temp, I think it does take the pressure off a bit. I may do the same and go for a totally untracked Christmas :-) let me know if you decide to!
@sunshine1987 I totally feel the same this month. It's so hard to know what to do! I feel we should just do it when we want, but then our chances won't be as good as DTF every other day, but then if I'm not even fertile what's the point? But I haven't had my appt yet so don't even know! Lol!
@boo2you welcome, sorry to hear what you've been through- you're definitely in the right place now- so much support! I also have PCOS, this is cycle 8 for me.
@validuser there's no point even worrying til you know, and even those waiting for IVF my doc said lots concieve naturally while waiting! 4 months is nothing, most of my friends with kids took 6 months plus to concieve. You ARE fertile and you SHALL concieve, until evidence proves otherwise that is how we shall all think! Xxx

sunshine1987 · 11/11/2018 09:08

@crossfitgirl lol you’re the inside of my brain. CD13 today and still not started, off on honeymoon today though so hoping that’ll help x

Crossfitgirl · 11/11/2018 09:33

Apologies for my essays - but how can I reply to every one properly and it not be an essay when the thread moves so fast?! Haha! May have to make a conscious effort to do shorter posts lo
