@ValidUser - good luck! I've heard of people getting pregnant soon after having HSG, with the dye flushing things out/expanding your tubes a bit... that would be good! Grin

mrsof20118 · 08/11/2018 17:11

That's a positive step @ValidUser

@purplefig oooh! My af is the same just appears in full force usually

purplefig · 08/11/2018 17:17

Thanks for the well wishes. I've just taken the dog out for a quick walk and low and behold, AF has arrived with all her usual might. Not too bothered as was certain I was out this month anyway. And would have been a waste of my new purchases (OPKs and fertility book Grin ) bring on cycle 3!

FivexFive · 08/11/2018 18:25

@purplefig, sorry af arrived, but glad you get to put your new purchases to good use now! Might get that book if it doesn't happen this time. Christmas present to myself?! Is that weird? Who even cares anymore :)

@Delilah7, hope you're feeling better this evening xx Got any nice weekend plans?

I mentioned the Emotional Labour at work and oh my, what a debate that caused!! Very interesting!!

So I'm thinking I need to tell dh we should dtd tonight (kicking myself for whipping out the frillies last night!) A bit worried he'll think I'm being ott about the timing but then again really don't want to miss the window! He's been good about it so far, with the every other day, just worried he'll think I'm being too pushy asking for it again tonight?! Sorry, tmi! Xxx

Delilah7 · 08/11/2018 18:26

@FivexFive I'm ok. Trying not to over think but it's so hard. Defo DTD tonight hun. Hopefully he understands xxx

FivexFive absolutely love that the article is stirring up debate in multiple workplaces!! Deffo not weird to buy yourself the book, knowledge is power and all that.

Re: seeming pushy, once we decided to start TTC I was the one who did all the research into timings etc (#emotionallabour Grin) and then I explained to DH what we needed to do to get the best chance each month. It means that it's now never awkward and he's totally onboard. So if you haven't already, it could be worth making sure he knows exactly how often you need to do it / how few fertile days there are each month.

purplefig · 08/11/2018 19:10

(Although appreciate I'm only on cycle 3 and if you've been going a while that much scheduled sex might start to wear!)

ValidUser · 08/11/2018 19:22

Just found out that my FSH is high for my age. It's normal (and I think the lab that measured it is slightly different because they went up to 12.5 as normal).

I'm 28 and my FSH was 10.

My progesterone levels indicate I ovulate.

Am I being neurotic?

FlapJackered · 08/11/2018 20:46

@ValidUser it is a bit high (but I have been doing some research on this today) high FSH on its own is not necessarily an indicator of problems with fertility apparently. To my understanding if it is combined with low progesterone or amh then that can indicate a problem. I am going with the fact that if your charts and/or blood tests show your ovulating I would try not to worry about it. Have you spoken to the doc about it?

FlapJackered · 08/11/2018 20:50

@ValidUser .... I might be wrong though, that is just what I have found from a bit of research, there is a lot of conflicting info online!

ValidUser · 08/11/2018 20:56

@FlapJackered I'm a doctor (but not a gynaecologist) and know a lot more than my GP. I plan to see someone specifically about fertility after my HSG (by interventional radiologist). (Quicker to get all investigations this way).

My progesterone has been perfect and temps/opks are good. I get ewcm and mittelschmerz. And it was just one reading - could have just been higher at that point on that day.

Agh it's just stressful!

ValidUser · 08/11/2018 20:56

Thanks for your reply. :) ❤️

stormtrooperjulian · 08/11/2018 21:10

@purplefig Sorry about AF! On to the next cycle.

@Delilah7 how are you feeling now? Try to stay positive, not too long til your scan

I think I should Ov tomorrow, got a very nearly +ve opk this evening so I’m thinking I just missed the surge (or my pee was too diluted, I drink a lot and only managed to hold it a couple of hours, not sure if that would effect it??). We dtd on Tuesday, then this evening and will again tomorrow and probably Saturday too so hopefully that will cover it.

Delilah7 · 08/11/2018 21:21

@stormtrooperjulian still scared. Bloods tomorrow :( you ok? Xx

OP posts:
stormtrooperjulian · 08/11/2018 21:37

@Delilah7 I’m fine thanks 😊 it’s totally normal that you’re feeling scared after what happened last time, but don’t forget that there’s no reason that this one wouldn’t stick! Is your dh taking care of you?

Crossfitgirl · 08/11/2018 21:48

@validuser no that's not neurotic , I have had a teeeeeny bit of blood when I wipe for about a week and a half (a bit like I have a cut or something, rather than it coming from inside) and I convinced myself I have cervical cancer. Not just that I sometimes wipe a bit hard!
My FSH was 6 and I'm stressing! And I'm 30!! But like flapjackered says it might mean nothing and it could just be an off reading, and with no other issues it may be fine. Try not to worry and do a bit of that mindfulness video that @purplefig posted - it's good!! Lol xx

Also... you're already pregnant and you know it so who cares?? 😉

ValidUser · 08/11/2018 21:50

@Crossfitgirl you are wonderful! ❤️

Crossfitgirl · 08/11/2018 21:51

@purplefig sorry about AF. Welcome to the next cycle though and your next chance to make that baba!

Babymaking · 08/11/2018 21:55

Hi Ladies! I am on my third month TTC and am already going bonkers! This month especially.
AF is due tomorrow and I am usually doubled over with cramps two days before, so far nothing more than a tiny, dull ache here and there. No PMS or other symptoms that I get with AF, either. I took a HPT today and it was a BFN. TMI alert: last week my CM smelled a bit like semen (we hadn't done the deed in a few days so its not that) and today it smells very sweet. Has anyone heard of this happening to anyone and it meaning anything? Who would have thought making a baby would be so hard!?

mrsof20118 · 09/11/2018 07:25

Welcome @Babymaking. Can't help with your question sadly. Hopefully someone else may be able to give some advice here.

1dpo ish for me. Temp up again slightly but not significantly. Need to keep myself busy in the next two weeks to stop me going poas crazy x

ValidUser · 09/11/2018 08:01

9 dpo and total bfn!

TTC FIRST BABY THREAD NO.7
Crossfitgirl · 09/11/2018 08:10

Welcome @babymaking! Trying to eat my breakfast here!! Lol! Sorry, I have never heard of CM smell being a sign, consistency yes but smell - never heard of that.

@validuser do you need to get @flapjackered to hide your tests until AF is due???

ValidUser · 09/11/2018 08:23

@Crossfitgirl yes, yes I do!

starkid · 09/11/2018 09:22

Aw @ValidUser it's still early! Give it til Sunday maybe.
I'm fully out this month now :( Kept feeling hopeful as well as I thought I had implantation bleeding... alas!
Now to try harder this month Grin

Delilah7 · 09/11/2018 10:15

I miss you ladies. Feeling so overwhelmed. Just had bloods to see if HCG is rising. Won't be able to know till Monday. 😭 hope you're all ok xxx
