@Delilah7 sorry your feeling like this, I know you just want to be excited, but in all honesty you cant control what happens, so try and clear your head and think about the scan and keep moving forward day by day. Your pregnant hun, believe it!

@starkid sorry to hear honey, stay positive though, your not out yet!

Girls, I am so confused. So you know I have a referral for suspected Endo. Well I am convinced I do not have it. (Even though when I google symptoms its always what comes up)

I just do not have the heavy periods though which is a main symptom.

My pains have started creeping in again last night after not being in much pain the last week or so while AF was here. Now i'm entering my FW and the pain is starting. Im convinced its something to do about being in my FW, but the pain lasts until a couple of day before AF.

And when I mean pain I mean absolute agony where the cramps wake me up in the night. That type of pain comes and goes over the days but there will be constant dull - medium cramping going on throughout until AF arrives.

SO confused and I cant google anymore because its always bringing me back to Endo....anyone know of anyone with Endo who doesn't have the heavy periods? I mean if anything my periods are getting lighter!!

Heeelpppppp. xx

@Delilah7 your feelings are totally valid and understandable. X

Not feeling as hopeless today. 8dpo. Unlikely but not impossible that it's my month. And getting my HSG soon, hopefully!

EltzBee · 08/11/2018 12:28

@SullyWifey my cousin has Endo and rarely got periods...

SullyWifey · 08/11/2018 12:37

@EltzBee Oh really?? See I have been getting regular periods, although they are getting shorter......Oh christ I hate not knowing whats going on with my body. Got the Gyno on 21st so roll on then!

mrsof20118 · 08/11/2018 12:55

@Delilah7 just take each day as it comes. What day is your early scan if one is booked? Little milestones are all great achievements and should help ease the anxiety x

Delilah7 · 08/11/2018 13:07

@ValidUser thank you. Xx

@mrsof20118 thank you! My early scan will be this time next week!! Xx

@SullyWifey It doesn't look like you definitely have to have a heavy period to have endo. This article says that's actually more associated with adenomyosis - www.everydayhealth.com/columns/lauren-streicher-midlife-menopause-and-beyond/myths-endometriosis-demystified/

@Delilah7 sorry to hear you're feeling stressed out, I think it's completely normal after what you've been through. Are you feeling any better today?

@starkid sorry to hear that. It always seems an extra kick the teeth that finding out it's not a BFP is promptly followed by having to deal with a period. Be extra nice to yourself today.

I've just realised that I've actually only had TWO cycles since coming off the pill! It just feels like bloody forever given my cycles are so long. Currently waiting for AF to kick off Cycle 3. Last one was 35 days and I'm currently on day 37. Some slight cramps today and what I think was a bout of PMS the last 48 hours, fingers crossed. Never thought I'd be willing AF to hurry up Grin

purplefig · 08/11/2018 13:12

@SullyWifey Also, FWIW, the official NHS page has a list of symptoms that doesn't mention having a heavy period, just a painful one. It lists a note about heavy periods underneath the list of symptoms: "You may also have heavy periods – you might use lots of pads or tampons, or you may bleed through your clothes".

Delilah7 · 08/11/2018 13:22

@purplefig not really... trying to just ignore the negative feelings x x

@Delilah7 I don't know if you're at all familiar with mindfulness/meditation, but I find that kind of practice really useful when I'm ruminating. May or may not help, but could be worth a shot. Big hugs Flowers

Does anyone know anything about using OPKs? I have just had some arrive and am very excited to get going with them (when AF eventually turns up). Given my cycles have been quite irregular since coming off of BC, when I should start? And how long do you have to not drink for being doing it? And is it supposed to be done twice a day? (And can you tell I'm very new to all this Wink ?)

Delilah7 · 08/11/2018 13:31

@purplefig I may have to give it a go!! X

purplefig · 08/11/2018 13:35

@delilah7 - this is a great 10 minute meditation I do whenever I'm feeling anxious . Like I said, may or may not be helpful for you but could be worth a shot. x

sunshine1987 · 08/11/2018 13:37

@purplefig are they the one step tests? There should be a bit of paper that tells you what day to start based on the length of your cycles. For 28 days for example it’s day 10 you start. I only test once a day at 2pm until it’s nearing positive then will test again at 5pm until I get my positive. You’re meant to limit the amount you drink for upto 4 hours before x

purplefig · 08/11/2018 13:40

@sunshine1987 they are and there is a bit of paper, but no info on when to start. Given how all over the place I am, I'm tempted to start as soon as AF stops tbh. Thanks for the info, really useful. Have you found OPKing helpful?

sunshine1987 · 08/11/2018 13:44

@purplefig ahhh I might have got the dates from the clearblue ones instead. But yeah they helped me figure out when I was ovulating and then allowed me to pick up on the orther signs so that I now don’t need them to see when I’m ovulating x

purplefig · 08/11/2018 13:52

@sunshine1987 fab - that's what I'm hoping for, thanks!

SullyWifey · 08/11/2018 13:56

@purplefig you are an absolute queen at this research!! That was such an interesting read, how had I not come across that before?

Well as much as I don't want endo. I do want to know what's wrong with me. This pain comes with chronic mood swings and makes me feel soo incredibly low!! Yuck.

KatBeCool · 08/11/2018 13:57

@SullyWifey if you use words like "agony" to describe your pains, you need to follow through with that referral, endo or not. Such pains are not normal and it's best to have it looked into, especially if you're ttc. It sounds like you're scared of the endo diagnosis, but wouldn't you rather know and have Dr's help you? Fingers crossed for you!

@Delilah7 hugs! Try to find some calming foods or teas. It's normal to worry but nothing wrong with finding ways to worry less. Depending on how your brain works, maybe YouTube videos help, maybe special foods do, maybe watch a funny movie or two. Anything you can do, do it. At the least, it'll all take your mind off stress for a bit.

purplefig · 08/11/2018 13:59

@SullyWifey my secret is procrastinating from work bahahaha Halo .
I am really sorry to hear you're coping with lots of pain, mood swings and low moods though, that's no fun at all. Hope you can find out what it is and feel better soon Flowers and on that note, I really must go and do some bloody work Grin

ValidUser · 08/11/2018 16:16

Getting my HSG on the 21st!

purplefig · 08/11/2018 16:30

That's great news ValidUser

Warning: TMI incoming!

So I've just been to the loo and wiped and there was a bit of light pink looking discharge. I'm very, very lightly cramping. I'm 99% sure it's the start of AF, but it's totally abnormal if it is. Normally I get pretty intense cramps in the days leading up, and then WHAM, it's very obvious she's here if you know what I mean! I've just checked the dates, and I think there is a chance it might be an implantation bleed. I'm sure it'll just ramp up and turn into AF, but where else can I procrastinate and speculate?! Grin

KatBeCool · 08/11/2018 16:34

@ValidUser good luck with your HSG! I'm a bit terrified and hoping I'll get pg before mine early Jan.

SullyWifey · 08/11/2018 16:51

@ValidUser great news!!! Same day as my gyno!

@purplefig that's very promising!!! Fingers crossed for you!!!xxx

SullyWifey · 08/11/2018 16:54

@KatBeCool your right hun I am scared, I am just scared of facing the fact that a nearly a year in ttc there could be a reason it's not working :( yes defo want doctors help!! Roll onnn knowing what the hell is going on rather than having all this time in limbo with my over active brain!xx
