Hey everyone! Anyone who would like to join me and share feelings thus cycle? I'm 29, second month of TTC our second baby. All new to this tracking but trying to track my temps and doing OPK. I'm on a CD4. Anyone who would like to join me on the journey? Fingers crossed this is our lucky month! 😍

I'm TTC as well, I had my implant out beginning of last month, just had my first AF so able to work out when I'm ovulating this month 🤞🤞🤞 all very exciting this is for my first child, I'm 33 years old so expecting it to take a little longer

OneMoreWish · 01/11/2018 13:20

Hello I'll join.

I'm TTC#2 cycle 3 using natural iui

I'm on 2dpo and really hope I'm lucky this time x

OneMoreWish · 01/11/2018 13:20

Oops just realised ami too further along to join just saw you are oncd4

Martina2311 · 01/11/2018 13:54

Hi @undomesticgodde55 :) thanks for joining! What cycle day are you on? Is implant the one they place in your arm? I was on Mirena coil until March. Had it for almost 5 years and didn't have any problem to get into my cycles again but last month, when we started trying, I experienced a really long cycle for some reason. Still don't know if my period was just delayed or I didn't ovulate and skipped the cycle all together but AF only arrived 3 weeks after it was due. It was strange so I hope this month will be more settled.

Hi OneMoreWish ! That's ok that you are further, you can still join if you want. We can help you kill some time while on your 2WW :)
How old is your first child and how are you and your DH finding the process of IUI so far?

undomesticgodde55 · 01/11/2018 14:09

Yep the one in the arm 😁 the dr said I shouldn't have any trouble conceiving as I'm fit and healthy and Sonia my partner. I'm really sorry but I'm new to mums net, and not sure what all the acronyms mean 🤷🏼‍♀️

undomesticgodde55 · 01/11/2018 14:09

So is my partner 🤣🤣🤣

undomesticgodde55 · 01/11/2018 14:21

Oh also I'm on CD4

Martina2311 · 01/11/2018 14:41

You will learn very quickly, don't worry 😊 AF - aunt flow (period). I only joined mumsnet last month and find it quite nice to share the journey with someone. It's great that we are the same cycle! 🤩 are you planning on trying anything like OPK (ovulation predictor kit or basically ovulation tests) or are you planning on having quite a relaxed approach without anything? I have a son who is turning 6 this month and I fell pregnant very easily with him without planning so this is all quite new to me as well and still trying to figure everything out and learn. But it's quite exciting 🙂

Aw how loverly, we're planning on having 2 children close together too. No ovulation kits this month, but I have an app on my phone and apparently November 13th (my lucky number!) is the date. We're trying to be relaxed about it all but last month went through 4 tests 😂🙈 very impatient knowing my sister conserved both of hers in the first month

Martina2311 · 01/11/2018 15:35

@undomesticgodde55 hahaha I can relate very well with impatience. The amount of tests I did last month is almost embarassing 🙈 but I couldn't help it, considering my period was late and I also felt like I was having some symptoms. I've got similar date on my app. How long is usually your cycle? Don't forget to BD (baby dance) mainly days before your ovulation day! 😍

undomesticgodde55 · 01/11/2018 15:44

I honestly have no idea about AF at all 😂🙈 I didn't get any on the implant and had 4 near enough in a row since my early 20's! This week has been like my first AF at 13 all over again, forgot how messy they are, forgot how many tampons to buy, had horrendous mood swings, snappy, crying 😂🤣

undomesticgodde55 · 01/11/2018 15:45

What's a baby dance?!

OneMoreWish · 01/11/2018 19:50

Yay thank you I fell by the tww hard so distraction is welcome!

No husband, I'm a single mum by choice. My first child turns 1 in two weeks eek this first year has gone fast! Like @undomesticgodde55 I'm hoping to have two children close in age.

Last time I tried I got pregnant first iui then it turned into a chemical. I did iui again straight away and got a sticky bean the second time. This time I feel worried that there hasn't been anything the first two goes. Feel nervous as I'm 36 so getting on a bit ...

undomesticgodde55 · 01/11/2018 20:02

@OneMoreWish good for you! I had a look at donation and adoption when I was single in my late 20's, I totally would have gone it alone if I hadn't met my current partner. I also have a friend currently TTC alone and I know she will make a fantastic mum! I really admire that. How did everything go with your first?

Martina2311 · 01/11/2018 20:04

@undomesticgodde55 hahaha I'm not surprised then. You technically lived a life without AF. 😄I know how it feels tho. When I was on my Mirena coil, I had no AFs whatsoever, maybe a bit of spotting once in a few months. It was sooo comfortable. But I can't complain even now. My flow lasts usually only 2 days, with 1 day of spotting before and one after..and it's light as well so nothing difficult.
Baby dancing means having sex. Funny these nicknames ha? 😀

@undomesticgodde55 he's my world! Me and all my family adore him. I always wanted to be a mum and thought I was missing out on what I was meant to be in life and I was right - I love love love being a mum. Absolutely best decision for me.

I hope I meet mr right one day but definitely the right decision for me to start having children when I did.

I just really hope I can give him a sibling ... xxx

Martina2311 · 01/11/2018 20:14

@OneMoreWish wow, you are amazing. I totally respect what you are doing and I am happy that this generation we have so many options. If I didn't bump into the right person by certain time, I would definitely go the same way. I can't imagine not having children. Same as I can't imagine to have only one. It's really important for me to have at least two. It's actually quite funny because until about July, if anyone asked me when we will have number 2, I would never have a clear answer...But it would always be "not just yet". But sudden loss of a close person and also my best friend's miscarriage made me change my attitude almost literally over night. And now, I feel very certain about my decision and feel its just the right time, even thought I haven't ticked almost any of the boxes I wanted to tick before number 2.

undomesticgodde55 · 01/11/2018 20:37

@Martina2311 I did wonder if you meant sex lol! Yep lots of the good stuff!

@SullyWifey good luck to you, it would be great to send your family Xmas cards from the bump right!

@OneMoreWish Mr Right will be out there - but you don't need him your obviously very independent. Aw I can't wait to be a mummy for the first time, I always knew I wanted to be a mum too no matter what

Martina2311 · 01/11/2018 20:49

Welcome @SullyWifey ! Thank you for joining 😊 I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you. May this be the lucky month! ❤ Have you got any children already or is this going to be your first one? X

OP posts:
Martina2311 · 01/11/2018 20:53

@OneMoreWish Mr Right will come and can come any time. But you chose the right time to think about children! 🙂

OP posts:
OneMoreWish · 01/11/2018 20:54

Amen to the baby dust!

I really hope this is a sticky bean month for us all.

I definitely think our bodies tell us when they are ready to start ttc @Martina2311

Thanks @undomesticgodde55 I feel so relaxed and more positive about meeting someone when the time is right rather than fretting about taking to long to start ttc x

SullyWifey · 01/11/2018 21:00

@Martina2311 thank you! This will be my first bubba. It's all I think about now. Trying to not think about it as much, but there's just no off switch to wanting a baby once it's on ay!

What about you?xx
