Hey everyone! Anyone who would like to join me and share feelings thus cycle? I'm 29, second month of TTC our second baby. All new to this tracking but trying to track my temps and doing OPK. I'm on a CD4. Anyone who would like to join me on the journey? Fingers crossed this is our lucky month! 😍

Can I join please? TTC #1, cycle #4. Getting very impatient, hoping this is our month!

Mcstark7 · 05/11/2018 19:43

Hey all! Thought I would join in her for any advice. Anyone on here breastfeeding and TTC? I still haven't got my period back, LO is 10 months and debating reducing my feeds (currently morning and night) to see if my period will come back quicker 🙏🏻 Googling like mad here to see signs of ovulation! 🙄

thinkpositive2019 · 05/11/2018 19:55

Evening ladies!

Ttc#1
33 years young
Had implant removed on 17th sept, and have really just been allowing my body to relax into my cycles I've been using oki every few days and updating my Ovia app, looks like I missed my chance for October so feeling really positive that November will be my month, as I'm now in the know about my ovulation and cycles

Loving all the support on this page
here's to BFP's for November woohoo xxx

OneMoreWish · 05/11/2018 20:15

@Mcstark7 I'm currently breastfeeding and ttc.

My periods came back when my baby was six months old. After that I started to reduce breastfeeding as I heard it helps fertility.

I don't feed at night now ( unless baba ill) I do one feed at 5am and then he may have 2-3 mini feeds for a couple of mins through day. He's nearly one and it's been gradual as he's started to eat more and he has evening bottle of formula and sometime an extra bottle in day.

This is my third cycle of trying so perhaps I do need to stop completely . I really don't want to though so I'm torn...

I googled about starting period again and fertility and some interesting info especially re reducing night feeds and stretching period between day feeds. I also read one theory re sudden intake of calories simulating same effect on hormones as stopping breastfeeding and that can work...?

Good luck xxx

Mcstark7 · 05/11/2018 20:28

Thanks @OneMoreWish I'll try researching that and check out the increase in calories. I'm probably 'underweight' at the minute, that's with eating what I consider plenty of foods. No harm in a few extra treats each day 😛

My LO sleeps all night, but takes a big feed st bed time and morning. Tonight I give her a bottle plus top up from me. I think I'll do this for a bit.

I know what you mean I'm so not ready to stop feeding. In sept I went away for 10 days (LO with grandparents) and I keep pumping while away, and got LO latched back on because I wasn't ready to stop then. And I find it tough decision. As I see friends announcing baby news now I am very jealous!

Are you tracking your ovulation each month?
Good Luck, hopefully this month you see a BFP! 🙏🏻

OneMoreWish · 05/11/2018 20:40

@Mcstark7 it was only one random research paper I found after googling for ages I didn't find it repeated anywhere - though of course it didn't stop me trying lol.

Yes I've been tracking with opks since May so I know I'm ovulating and last month I had a brief two days of a line that then turned into bleeding. I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed this month

Xxx

Mcstark7 · 05/11/2018 20:59

@OneMoreWish it's an excuse to keep eating. Im happy with that 😂 aww good luck. Just aim for regular sex this month, keep yourself really relaxed and calm and hope to get you BFP! 🙏🏻 with my #1 we got lucky the first month of trying, I'm worried this time I'll stress too much 😬

OneMoreWish · 05/11/2018 21:02

@Mcstark7 that's good advice but I'm a single parent by choice using donor sperm so I get one shot in a clinic a month - it's hard not to be focused on it as would miss the optimum day. Sigh just waiting for the tww to be over now. Last chance for me as I've run out of money so fingers crossed x

Mcstark7 · 05/11/2018 21:32

@OneMoreWish oh I didn't know. Best of luck to you. I'll have my fingers and toes crossed for you this month. Honestly wishing you so much luck for it to work out for you! 😘 Xxx

OneMoreWish · 05/11/2018 22:16

😘

No worries.

Baby dust to us allxxx

Martina2311 · 06/11/2018 12:01

Oh @OneMoreWish I really hope this is your month then. It's crazy how much money these procedures cost. :(

Thanks @Martina2311 I always say to my mum if I won the lottery I would just go straight the fertility clinic and keep going until I was pregnant. I think I would also get more eggs out and find some donor mummies so I could have as many children as I can before I get to old.

I love children

Farhana170 · 06/11/2018 17:43

Omg... af due tomorrow.. I almost feel her coming :( if not defo testing tomorrow night!

Martina2311 · 06/11/2018 19:01

@OneMoreWish I can tell you would...And you deserve another baby, because children clearly deserve a mum like you. ❤❤❤

May I ask what kind of vitamins or supplements you ladies are using to help yourselves conceive?

Martina2311 · 06/11/2018 19:04

@Farhana170 fingers crossed she doesn't! How are you feeling? Update us! :)

@Martina2311 last time I took folic acid until I conceived & then the liquid pregnacare. After the cp & generally I'm feeling a bit run down (DS at preschool means we all constantly have colds) so I've decided to take the liquid pregnacare while TTC as well. I wanted the extra boost especially in iron

Mcstark7 · 06/11/2018 21:33

Opinions please. I did a wee cheap ovulation test, there's two lines here, the second isn't as dark as the check line. Does this mean I'm ovulating?

Martina2311 · 06/11/2018 22:46

Hi @Mcstark7 ! I wouldn't take it as a positive result unless it's the same colour or the testing line is even darker. But what happens to my lines is, that they get darker towards the ovulation. So I think sometimes it may mean that the surge is almost there. Might not be the same with everyone but with me I do get a light line all month, then maybe one day before the line gets into same colour, I do get quite dark but not as there yet...And then next day would be dark. So I would say BD just in case and keep doing your OPK. What cycle day are you? X

Thanks @happytobemrsg ! I didn't know that pregnacare does vitamins in liquid as well! Last time when pregnant with my son I tried taking the tablets and found them actually quite big that it made me a bit sick every time I was swollowing them 🤭
I am having folic acid as well. But actually a couple of weeks ago, I realised I was probably overdosing myself. As I was having a tablet a day + B Complex, which I later found out has Folic Acid in it too..And I also eat cereal every day and most of the types I eat have folic acid too. Plus it is in some veggies etc so I realised I was probably taking too much. 🙈Now only on that 1 tablet daily + cereal and healthy food.🙂

@Martina2311 I'm still breastfeeding my LO so haven't had a period yet. She's 10 months and I bf morning and bed time so I expected my period to have come by now. Last month I had a lot of changes in CM and PMS, so I feel like my body is trying to get back in to action again. Hopefully anyway. Thanks I'll keep tracking and see how the next few days go Xx

OneMoreWish · 06/11/2018 23:24

@Martina2311 😘

@Mcstark7 I think it's getting there but not quite...

Another day done. Phew. Trying to stay positive but scared of getting my hopes dashed - it's a difficult balance...

cupcakesandglitter · 06/11/2018 23:26

Hi all, can I join please? I'm 23, TTC 1, cycle 4 (tried for a couple of cycles last year and then chose to delay TTC for various reasons) ... I've been referred to for bloods and ultrasound because my cycles have gone all whacky since TTC! X

OneMoreWish · 06/11/2018 23:27

Welcome @cupcakesandglitter fingers crossed you get some answers with bloods and scans xxx

Farhana170 · 06/11/2018 23:35

@Martina2311

So symptoms include random 'twinges' in lower abdomen, but not sure I've noticed this previously just before af. Usually I have sore breasts a week before af... But this is different I'm only getting this now a day before af is due🤔.
