Hey everyone! Anyone who would like to join me and share feelings thus cycle? I'm 29, second month of TTC our second baby. All new to this tracking but trying to track my temps and doing OPK. I'm on a CD4. Anyone who would like to join me on the journey? Fingers crossed this is our lucky month! 😍

@OneMoreWish ...and definitely better to wait a bit for the right person then settling and compromising with the wrong one just because time is ticking for babies and there is no more time to be changing partners.

Can I join? After an accidental bfp last month which ended in a CP last weekend, we both decided to bring TTC forward a few months. I'm 30 & DH is 39. This will be baby #2 for us. I'm on CD4 so it'll be a loooong month. I've decided that if AF is late, I won't test until it's late by 2 weeks. I cannot test early & go through what happened last month again.

Martina2311 · 02/11/2018 23:49

@SullyWifey I can imagine! It's really hard to focus on anything else or trying to relax about it once you do decide that it's the right time and this is what you want. And the 2 week wait is the worst. I struggled to focus at work and just want menatally present some of the days. Had to really push myself to be switched on sometimes. I believe that we do effect our bodies a lot by our emotions about the whole process but like you are saying, it is just hard not to.
Are you tracking your cycle etc when TTC?
I have a nearly 6 yo son already and just recently decided mainly because of him, that it's the right time to have another one. Don't want the age gap to be any bigger.😕

Welcome @happytobemrsg and of course you can join 🤗Thank you for sharing your story. May I ask what is CP? Is that chemical pregnancy? I am sorry, that you had this experience last month and really hope everything is ok this cycle. I think as much as it's sometimes good to have the option of a very sensitive test that give a results early, it is probably much better to really wait and see what happens. But it is really hard to be that patient. :/

@happytobemrsg oh no sorry to hear about the CP. I just had to look it up as I hadn't heard of it - just told the other half we will wait till my AF is late to test to not get our hopes up in the future.

On the up side congratulations on brining your TTC forward! How exciting!

SullyWifey · 03/11/2018 14:43

@Martina2311 yes been tracking since month 1, was temping then stopped that and just using OPKs. Going to try pre-seed this month as heard lots of good things! Going to DTD much as we can this month, although hubby finds the pressure bit much sometimes.

I have 7 years between me and my brother and the age gap has never been an issue if that's what you worry about!!

Do you have any baby making tips from your first pregnancy??xx

Bitsandboobs · 03/11/2018 15:11

Hi. Can I join in too. This is cycle 1 for us ttc no2. I also have a larger age gap, my ds is 5. We have just about recovered from the shock of having him to want to do it again! I'm cd2, I had the copper coil in so periods always been regular. Glad I went for that now as we can just go straight into it!

crystalsapphire · 03/11/2018 15:17

Can I join? TTC baby number 1, first month of trying. My app says I should be ovulating today but none of my OPKs have been positive yet I've been diagnosed with PCO but not PCOS so it might take us some time... I'm 32. Here's hoping there's some happy news for people this month!

Martina2311 · 03/11/2018 15:41

@SullyWifey is Pre seed the gel that is supposed to help sperm? I've heard of it too but haven't tried. Let me know how it works!
I don't have any tips as my first pregnancy wasn't planned. I actually got pregnant the first time we had an unprotected sex and although I took the morning pill 🙈 We didn't plan to have a child at that time but now I'm obviously very happy, it worked out against our plans. I wish it was that easy every time. 😶

Martina2311 · 03/11/2018 15:51

@SullyWifey oh yes and I think it's a good age gap as my son won't need me as much now and will be probably a big help to be honest. But just feel like I don't want to make the gap bigger than this. Don't want to have a baby and almost a teenager 😁

undomesticgodde55 · 03/11/2018 16:38

@Martina2311 clearly your DC was determined to meet you in the womb and was hardcore 😁 so glad it worked out for you and the morning after pill didn't work

happytobemrsg · 03/11/2018 18:20

@Martina2311 @undomesticgodde55 thank you. It was a pretty crap weekend but I'm feeling much stronger now (though receiving the scan appointment letter today felt like a bit of a kick in the guts). Really excited to be trying properly this month & making DS a big brother!

Martina2311 · 03/11/2018 19:05

@undomesticgodde55 yes, definitely! I mean back then I had no idea about fertile days and all this but the more I know now, the more we think of him as a miracle and he really is such a wonderful boy with a beautiful personality...I am so so blessed that it worked out the way it did as I of course, can't now imagine a life without him. I feel like life sometimes shows you very clearly how things are meant to be. Me and my partner were not together for a long time back then and as most relationships, ours was also up and down but the longer we are together, the stronger as couple we are and I am really certain that we are just supposed to have each other. :) it's strange how things in life work and what directions the life takes sometimes.

@happytobemrsg aah bloody letter! I know it's easier said than done, but try to move on and try to focus on the fact that every "extra month" you have to create even better environment for the baby and healthier body. Try some new excercise or meditation, do more research on what you will want to do with your baby once it's here, what sort of products you will want to buy...look forward to it and be excited but not pressured. I know it's not easy but at least try, I hope that helps. I really wish you well xx

@crystalsapphire @Bitsandboobs welcome ladies! So both on the first month of TTC :) How nice would that be if it works right away right? I will keep my fingers crossed for you! I know what you mean with the contraception...I also chose mine mainly because the doctor told me that once we decide, we should be able to conceive right away, said that with pills and injections it usually takes longer for the body to adjust.
I can also relate to the comfort...I feel like we only started enjoying the fact that DS is at the age when he is more independent, he is at school so no childcare costs etc...it is so comfortable. But I think I am ready to go through it again :)

Hi everyone, mind if I join? Dh and I have decided to ttc #2 after having two late losses this year. We weren’t sure we could go through it again but so want a sibling for our DS who was 2 in August. Currently on cd6.
Took us a year to fall pregnant with my ds but bought the clear blue advanced monitor and fell two months later. Same with last two pregnancies it was 2/3 months of ttc before bfp.
Good luck and baby dust to all Smile

happytobemrsg · 04/11/2018 09:37

So sorry for your losses @craftymum01

Lots of people on their first month of TTC - wishing lots of baby dust to us all!

Martina2311 · 04/11/2018 14:43

Hello craftymum01 ! So sorry to hear about your losses. You deserve all respect that you are not giving up, I absolutely support you. I think it is really important for children to have a sibling. I really hope that this time you will be more lucky. Xx

Ladies does any of you chart your temps? May I ask what are yours like before and after ovulation in °C? I received a chart to use together with my bbt thermometr but the range of the chart is only up to 36.75 °C (the lowest one is 35.55°C). I feel like the highest temp that it offers is still quite low? I remember that a few weeks ago my temp was almost 37°C which I wouldn't be able to put on this chart anymore. Just curious how your temps usually are through the cycle as I feel like mine are so far always in the higher half of the chart. I also enter my temps in am app but kind of like the idea of writing it down as well.

First month of trying! 12dpo tested at 10dpo (couldn't wait as had symptoms) bfn:( going to wait till missed period now. Testing again Wednesday!

craftymum01 · 04/11/2018 16:48

Thank you for the warm welcome ladies Smile
Sorry to hear of your bfn @farhana170. Remember you aren’t out until af shows her ugly face, fingers crossed for you x

happytobemrsg · 04/11/2018 21:27

I haven't taken my temperature @Martina2311, I don't wake up the sabe time every morning and I think that's important. I've always found tracking CM enough to know what's going on.

Bitsandboobs · 05/11/2018 13:05

I'm a bit clueless with ttc even though I've done it once. But back then we literally said "let's have a baby" so I stopped taking my pill and 3 weeks later I had my bfp. I was totally naive to how hard it can all be. I'm definitly not expecting it to be so easy this time round. Got some ovulation sticks to see if I can track a but with those. My periods are pretty regular but from my dates last time I think I ovulated on cd10 so going to start tracking from around day 8.

OneMoreWish · 05/11/2018 13:23

Ahhh 6dpo and starting to find it tough.... had some light cramps today but scared to get hopes up while keeping hopeful.

I keep mentally working out what day is the soonest I could take a test which just might possibly show the faintest line and trying to dismiss that thought.

I read a funny blog about ttc and what a women learnt about her normal cycle number 1 being that post ovulation she has bouts of queasiness leading up to period. Yep I've had that the last two months and felt sure it meant I was pregnant. Last month changing my baby's nappy was making me heave.Made me smile that I'm not the only one!

Drumming fingers.... I'm sure time has slowed down... let's look again at the odds of finding a positive 7dpo and google that one story where it happened... lol xx
