Hello Smile

Thought I would start a new TWW thread for those of us just entering, or soon to be entering, the TWW

I’ve been TTC#2 for 12 months now (DS was 1st cycle no trying required) and really need some positivity that things will get there for us soon.

What has everyone been trying to get their sticky BFP?

This cycle we have given ConceivePlus fertility Lube a go along with Seven Seas Trying for a Baby pills.

I have also said “sod it” and gone back to eating whatever I fancy, having a beer when I fancy it but have cut down to only two coffees a day.

Good luck to us all Star

(also any of the original TTCers from the Nutters thread still on this board?)

Pickingflowers oh no bless you! And try to keep calm, as you know, 8dpo is so early still hahaha. Oops!

Lubilu28 welcome! And hope pulling out all the stops will see you with a BFP this time!!

So lots of creamy CM, cramping and still feeling nauseous. Only 5dpo today so trying hard to remind myself its all in my head!

Hi ladies!

Currently TTC #1, cycle 1, so brand new to this! I'm not doing any OPKs or temping and just planning to take it easy for the first few months! Came off the pill a couple of weeks ago and if CM is anything to go by I've just ovulated, so joining you on the TWW!

Fingers crossed for some good news for us all!

TwittleBee · 24/10/2018 07:35

PineappleC hey there! Good luck. Ask any questions if you need, been around a while now lol!

Stupid stupid stupid me taking a test at 6dpo. Obv a BFN

OP posts:
PineappleC · 24/10/2018 08:14

Thank you TwittleBee!
Sorry to hear but try not to worry - 6dpo is normally not even implantation date so would hardly ever give a BFP, so you are nowhere near out of it :-)

It's bloody hard waiting isn't it! Feels like there's very little productive to do! I have read that now is the time to try and optimise uterine lining (fertility yoga and exercise!) and decrease stress levels (very difficult for me!). Any one any tips on these things!?

Pickingflowers · 24/10/2018 08:15

Whoops @TwittleBee you are as bad as me!! I think we do it just to be able to take some sort of action rather than this awful limbo!

Anyone else having crazy dreams atm?

RMarieClaire · 24/10/2018 08:36

Oh @TwittleBee - I was so tempted to do the same yesterday. I am holding out as have one test in drawer and don't want to buy another before Monday payday. Also not feeling very confident this month.

Tomorrow I get blood test results which I hope will confirm I'm ovulating. Now 5 months since I had the implant out. I've had positive OPKs and EWCM so really hoping it's good news! Anyone else had this test?

TwittleBee · 24/10/2018 08:43

PineappleC I know haha, implantation cant happen before 7dpo and anything before is usually an indication of ectopic Sad I just cant resist POAS this cycle. managed to avoid it past few cycles. Decreasing stress levels is probbaly the main thing I struggle with so haven't much tips to offer, although I guess just keeping busy is how I am tackling it, trying to get busy week planned to keep mind off it!

Pickingflowers not yet I havent! What dreams you been having then?

RMarieClaire having only one test is a good way to resist haha! Good luck with the test results! Does sound positive though

@TwittleBee last night it was I was with my form group and I fainted and the receptionist first aider came up and told me that it was because I was 12 weeks preg and I was like, 'no I'm not'. Then I tried to tell the class but they wouldn't stop talking (not unusual). But have had really vivid dreams the last three nights. Trying not to read too much into it though, because I had the same last month too.

@PineappleC something I do for stress is try to recognise when I'm tensing up, like being aware when my shoulders are up too high or I'm gritting my teeth or my stomach is all tensed up. Then I try and relax all my muscles from the feet up and big deep breaths. It's been working. As well as little walks and fresh air x

liveinhope100 · 24/10/2018 10:45

Hi girls, would love to join. My stats:

TTC #1
Cycle: Five
Currently 8-9dpo
29 years old

Use CB ovulation tests and bought pre-seed but have not tried it yet. Thought I was going to be pregnant a lot quicker than this but trying to stay positive each month. If I am not lucky this month I'm buying a mooncup and will use pre-seed so hopefully that will work.

Lots of baby dust to everyone on this thread!

ffiffi8 · 24/10/2018 13:01

Well I took a test Monday because I felt off... BFP! Couldn't quite believe it, the only symptoms I had were going to the toilet.. a lots (bowel movement 😪 sort tmi) and period pains... it's hit me now though, dizzy and tired! I'm 4 weeks exactly tomorrow so early days

TwittleBee · 24/10/2018 13:16

ffiffi8 oh YAY first BFP on the thread!!! Good luck, hoping its a lovely sticky lil bean for you

liveinhope100 welcome and good luck!

Wow huge congratulations @ffiffi8 Amazing news! I'm currently on day 4 of a flashing smiley face on clear blue ovulation test and I feel like throwing it out the window of stamping on it, can anyone else give me some will power to carry on please, I've recently stopped BC so this is my first cycle on my own, think my cycle is going to be quite long as it's CD19 for me and still on a flashing smiley, been on the pill for 10 years so no idea how long my cycles are or anything hoping to get a static soon, hard thing is I don't actually know when AF is due because the last period I had was just the withdrawal bleed from the pill so no idea when I would test, I'm guessing two weeks after I get a static if AF hasn't made an appearance in that time, what do you guys think?

TwittleBee · 24/10/2018 13:21

MrsP4 I know some people never see a static smiley! That isnt to say they dont ovulate but rather OPKs are known for being unreliable. Keep going at it with DTD whilst you are getting the flashy for sure! Also, after a static it might take a further 3 days for ovulation to actually then happen so I would say take a FRER 2 weeks after the static and if still no AF by 17 days after then take another?

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 24/10/2018 13:21

(also on a side note, I never see a flashing smiley when I use CB! OPK in morning will be a stark negative but by evening a strong positive!)

OP posts:
RMarieClaire · 24/10/2018 15:06

Congratulations @ffiffi8

AF due Friday but only 8dpo - tempted to test tomorrow am because I'm off to NYF in the evening and if I'm not pregnant I plan to drink all the Manhattans in Manhattan Wink

TwittleBee · 24/10/2018 15:11

RMarieClaire so do a test tomorrow! Make sure its a FRER though. Also DW if you do have a hefty drink and it turns out you are actually pregnant! Maybe pack a spare FRER to take Friday morning if AF doesn't show?

OP posts:
RMarieClaire · 24/10/2018 15:26

Thanks @TwittleBee - I think I will. my clear blue test (unused last month 🤦‍♀️) is I think is one where you test 6 days early. I'm also going to spend loads of First Response ones to take with me :)

TwittleBee · 24/10/2018 18:21

Ah yeah perfect then! I so hope you get a BFP, be a lovely start to NYC RMarieClaire

How is everyone this evening?

I've been having sharp pains and lots of EWCM so now I'm super confused?!

OP posts:
PineappleC · 24/10/2018 18:26

Oh congratulations @ffiffi8 :-)

Thanks ladies, I have always handled stress a bit badly - my job is quite demanding so sometimes it's difficult to switch off, but I know I need to for this! I'm going to exercise lightly over the next couple of weeks (usually exercise quite heavily) and try to keep my mind busy :-)

Not planning on doing any tests until after AF is due...trouble is I've no idea when that is, as this is my first cycle since pill! Hoping it'll be the usual 26 day cycle I had before going on pill. Whether or not I'm tempted to test though is another matter...I'm quite imptatient ;-)

TwittleBee · 24/10/2018 18:30

PineappleC first cycle after coming off the pill does tend to be a week or more longer for some people, just warning you! So make sure you're still DTD right up to either AF or a BFP to ensure you catch ovulation. FX you'll find it easy though, my sister managed to get a BFP on 1st cycle after the pill

OP posts:
Pickingflowers · 24/10/2018 18:45

Congratulations @ffiffi8 from me!
@TwittleBee hope you're having a nice eve? How long have your pinching feelings lasted? Fingers crossed for you!

Lots of pinching and digging feelings sort of mid right of my uterus area for me since yesterday afternoon, although not as much today as yesterday. Also had some bits of EWCM which I didn't get this time last month.

Trying so hard not to get my hopes up though.

TwittleBee · 24/10/2018 18:47

So we are both having simikar symptoms that aren't the norm for us Pickingflowers !!! Okay so now I do have my hopes up hahaha. The pains are also mid right for me and started up this morning.

OP posts:
Pickingflowers · 24/10/2018 18:54

@TwittleBee do they sort of come and go? Best I can describe it is like sharp fingernails nipping at me from the inside. I ovulated from the right this time too.

Think we'd notice these normally if this is what happened when not ttc? Don't think I'd miss it? I'd think there was something wrong with me.

When are you planning on next testing? I'm going to try and hang on until Saturday or Sunday morning. Deliberately not keeping any FRER in the house!

TwittleBee · 24/10/2018 18:58

Pickingflowers yeah they come and go and I almost jump when I feel it. I'd certainly not miss it! But idk, I think I'd dismiss it as one of those odd body things that happens. I want to wait till Friday at least before testing again! Sensible not having any FRERs about! I've just internet cheapies this month though

OP posts:
PineappleC · 24/10/2018 19:12

Thanks @TwittleBee :-) If I'm honest this month i'd just be happy to have a normal-ish period as my last one on the pill was a bit short. I think aiming for a BFP in the 1st month might be bit jammy, so setting expectations low ;-)

Ooh FX for you both!! Sounds promising xx
