TTC #1 Journey starts now

Ok , that's it. I'm done leaving it to chance. Me and my partner definitely want to actively try for a baby. We've been letting nature take its course but not actively trying.
So I've downloaded Flo and added my last few period dates. I stopped the pill back in July after being on for 13 years.
I've got some of that seven seas Trying for a baby pre conception vitamins, I started my period very last last night/early hours this morning after being 3 days late . Normally I'm like clockwork with AF, but this month I'm late, starving, nauseous, and so tired. But obviously not pregnant if I'm on period!!
So today marks the start of us activily TTC. I'm making sure we DTD around my ovulation dates and I'm hoping for a BFP next time around...
I'm extremely clueless to pregnancy, I never realised how hard it actually is! School teaches you that it's a definite the moment you have unprotected sex!
I'm 25 yet feel like I no nothing!?
Can I test at any point or is it best to wait till the next time AF is due? As in wait till I'm late then do a test?
I don't smoke or drink heavily. May have a glass of wine here and there.
Any tips for this month? Hoping I'll get a BFP by December!!!

I've started temping again this month and already my temps seem quite high. This morning was 36.45 and I only finished with AF on Sunday. Hope I'm not coming down with something😒

Temperature has dipped to below cover line today but still waiting for AF to turn up and get on with it.

DH got to go to the States for work, so was going through when my predicted fertile weeks are to try and work out what dates he can say he can go that will with any luck - and assuming my cycle doesn't go crazy - mean we don't miss the best times for Nov and Dec. Just wish AF would start to I would have a better idea of when Day 1 is!

@EltzBee I know just what you mean. After my bfn last Wednesday I just wanted her to show up to get on with it! Doesn't she realise we have plans to make!! So inconsiderate of AF! Lol

Ladies... i think im gonna cave and do a test tonight... gonna get the FR early one i think.. im 12 DPO supposedly due for AF Saturday... only reason why is although ive had symptoms, i still dont think realistically that i am Preggo, and im having a BIG Halloween party tomorrow... if by some sweet miracle it comes back BFP id rather know before i consume copious amounts of alcohol ... Should i test tonight or in the morning?

Hey @ladytmp personally because you're still 4 days pre AF I'd wait till the morning. All the boxes say to use fmu up till you're actually late.

Evening. So AF turned up this afternoon. Least it's here and start of next cycle. Fingers crossed for next time.

Thank you @ExpectantPatronum ! Still haven't quite mastered the abbreviations! Well I did a test this morning...definite BFN. Not even a faint line. I expected as much to be honest. At least I can enjoy myself tonight , and start fresh next month. I a but sad as I had hoped...but nevermind. Onwards and upwards!! AF due Saturday, feel like I'm getting cramps lower abdomen area already !

@ladytmp you're not out till she comes, but yes do enjoy yourself (my bestie was drinking on her last boozy night out when she was 2 days late but didn't want to test till after our night out so she didn't feel guilty- and the baby is absolutely fine!) so don't worry about it.

Hey, well still no period for me it's starting to make me worry a little. It's been over 6 weeks now and not a sign. Can you still ovulate without periods? We were hoping to start TTC at the end of December so really hoping it returns in the next 2 months. So glad I came off the pill in September now and not wait until was TTC.

@Pastaallday have you taken a test to see if you could be pregnant? I've heard that when you come off the pill you can get pregnant straight away! Worth ruling out or celebrating if you are!

MrsC87 yep I tried a cheapy strip pregnant test tonight and nothing. We haven't really been trying properly yet and have been using the pull out method, so wouldn't expect a positive. We are waiting for end of Dec. So I'm assuming I'm not pregnant and just have no periods yet. How long so I wait before I start to really worry? It's so frustrating!

@Pastaallday if you have just come off the pill I think it can take some people a while to get back to normal, I wouldn’t panic yet!

@MyloC & @ExpectantPatronum indeed, definitely on to another month. This month AF is actually a 'proper' period too so far which is a bit more reassuring, last months was weirdly light. Cycle Day 2 now, won't be long til Fertile again! Thinking positive.

I'm okay thanks @MyloC 6dpo so not feeling any different to normal other than tired. DH keeps waking me up snoring 😴 😡 other than that just getting a little impatient lol.

Help please girls! I done a test yesterday morning and it was a BFN however AF not due until Saturday, not 100% sure when I ovulated could of been between the 21st and 23rd, just come off the pill so body's a bit all over the place don't know how long my cycle is etc but I got a positive OPK on the 21st anyway.... been getting a few PMS yesterday like headache, cramping etc and I went to have a bath last night and noticed that I've been spotting a tiny bit I think it was dark brown in colour I can't be 100% sure as I had dark grey knickers on but I never usually get any PMS until I'm actually on but not due till Saturday if we're going by 28 day cycle but I ovulated around the 21st-23rd so AF probably more due around Sunday or Monday, could this be anything to do with implantation? I wiped with a tissue and there's nothing there, And had nothing through the night, know for a fact if I had come on it would be heavy straight away, help I'm confused and nervous haha! I know could still be nothing but can anyone shed some light? Sorry if it's a bit TMI 🙈

Forgot to say I just done another test and it was a BFN again but I read that you would get a positive until at least 3 days after implantation 🙈 so confused

Hey @MrsP4 sounds like good things but as you've just come off the pill it could be anything.

@MrsC87 I know what you mean. I would also love to be pregnant for Xmas. Especially as this is our last month trying for a short while. Due to ov on 13th but I've started temping again this month so hopefully it'll be a bit more accurate.

Afternoon everyone. Cycle Day 3, still on and taking it as a positive that it is a 'proper' period this month (think I read someone say say that means the lining was thicker which is a good sign, hopefully).

In a food coma from way too much lunch today, oops!

@MrsC87 Same with me! I don’t feel any different and starting to feel less and less positive as the days go on. What date are you going to test or are you waiting for AF?

Really hoping to pregnant for Xmas but trying not to put too much pressure on though.
