Hi all, not sure if this thread is still active but thought I'd provide an update in case it's useful to anyone. I got my BFP yesterday, on cycle 3. It's still very early but am relieved!
It was my first cycle using OPKs (the cheap One Step ones recommended earlier). I wish I'd starting using them from cycle 1. I think I ovulated on CD11, so a good bit earlier than the standard CD14. I also feel like I was a bit stupid because I was blindly following the fertile days days that the Ovia app was telling me. I think the app had decided I ovulated later, around CD19 because I had had some bloating around that time. Which obviously turned out to be completely wrong!
So just to say that if you're using an app to track ovulation I definitely recommend using OPKs too, unless of course you're having regular sex throughout the cycle anyway. This was difficult for us, mainly because of 2yo DD, but also because we've had a lot on recently in terms of work travel etc.
Also, in case it's useful for anyone - I was very careful about the way I used the OPK. Because the darkness of the line is key, I tried hard to make sure thay my urine was of a similar concentration each time I tested, and I tested around the same time every afternoon. I basically didn't have a wee or a drink after around 1pm and then tested around 5.30pm.
Also found the OneStep pregnancy tests useless, at least for early detection. Have had positives on both ClearBlue and FRER but nothing yet on those. They're probably fine if you're not impatient like me!
I found this rollercoaster of TTC quite tough, even though I know it's not been that long really. So, I just wanted to say keep going everyone and baby dust to you all!
