@Presh12345 , good luck for tomorrow! Will be thinking of you!
@Orchid222 , started taking Clomid 2 nights ago. Flying home on Sunday when I finish Clomid and scan is booked on Monday. IUI is more likely to be next Friday or Saturday depending on follicles size etc
I know we were incredibly lucky and this would be my last IUI, I reckon. Will do IVF either in December or January. Again, back at home. Will get all injections and fly here, do them remotely and scans here and fly to the clinic for eggs collection and embryo transfer. A lot involved but I trust my doctor and don't want to start this process anywhere in the UK. My doctor already "gave" me my beautiful daughter. "Made" me pregnant again. And I'm sure she"ll work her magic with IVF.
@CritterTamer , massive congratulations on twins! Fantastic news! How are you feeling?b
Haven't been on here for a while and sorry to hear about AFs and BFNs and congratulations to the BFPs I missed.

Presh12345 · 02/11/2018 12:49

Can someone please settle me. I'm going for my first IUI tmrw, have had femara for first 5 days of cycle, I'm around ovulation time now and had my 2 trigger shots yesterday. For the past day or two, I've had a really achy right boob and I'm trying to not think anything bad.

CritterTamer · 02/11/2018 12:50

@Russkispy - thank you 😊 feeling pretty horrible most of the time really - morning sickness was horrific this morning - 20 minutes lying on the bathroom floor with my head down the toilet vomiting over and over again until I peed myself and everything 😢 couldnt face work after that so rang in sick. Just managed to eat 2 boiled eggs and s9me spinach leaves so feeling better now. I’m trying hard not to moan and feel sorry for myself as i asked for this after all - must admit i wasn’t expecting to feel this bad though. I guess it’s a combination of twin hormone levels and the OHSS making me feel so crap!

CritterTamer · 02/11/2018 12:51

@Presh12345 were your trigger shots HCG? That will cause boob pain - totally normal 😊 good luck for your IUI!

weasledee · 02/11/2018 12:55

Critter I had HYperemisis gravidarium (probably spelt wrong!) with both my DC. I ended up being signed off for weeks because it's horrible and defo not just normal morning sickness....
The only advice I can give is make u sure you eat something as soon as u open your eyes. I kept some resealable food by my bed....

Cleozeta · 02/11/2018 13:10

Yes that sounds like the better option critter. I like that your place did the 3 cycle deal. Will have to find out if the place I'm looking at does anything like that, as to pay mega bucks for just one cycle that doesnt work would be gutting and I imagine we'd ve reluctant to pay that again. Plus a package deal would take the pressure off it having to work first time.
Orchid - its good they don't charge if the follicles don't respond. When will you be starting yours?

Cleozeta · 02/11/2018 13:16

Urgh the morning sickness sounds horrific critter! But it will be worth it, just think of the end result!

CritterTamer · 02/11/2018 13:31

That’s actually really important @Cleozeta - I strongly feel that you should go into IVF viewing it as a process that’s likely to take several cycles - remember that the vast majority of first cycles fail, in even in much younger women, but the odds of success do get better with every cycle you have, and each cycle is a huge learning experience for you and your medical team. I think current NICE guidelines are that IVF should be given 3 attempts. I think if it fails 4 times then the chance of ever being successful drops but up until then you have better odds each time. Knowing that I had 2 more cycles was the only thing that kept me going when the first cycle failed - I was desperate to start again straight away but they make you wait 3 months between cycles.

Cleozeta · 02/11/2018 14:00

I think I would feel a lot more relaxed if I paid for 3 cycles. I'm surprised more places don't offer that deal, but I've not seen it. Costs seem to go per cycle, which is awful for stress & pressure

CritterTamer · 02/11/2018 14:20

Yeah the only downside is that we get no refund If we dont use all the cycles, so if cycle 1 had worked we’d have lost the other two. You only bu6 the drugs as you need them though so you save that cost at least. Also they don’t offer any money back for failed or cancelled cycles as some clinics do.

Cleozeta · 02/11/2018 14:42

Ah so it still has its risks.
Just been looking into the clinic I was thinking of, they do a package for 2 cycles, which I think saves a bit if you need both. This is available for under 44's using own eggs. They also do a money back guarantee on unlimited IVF if no success in 2 years, but that's only for under 38's.
I think I would do the 2 cycle package. I'm not sure about their failed or cancelled cycle policy

Chatbash72 · 02/11/2018 14:45

@CritterTamer morning sickness is a very positive sign... I've had HG a couple of times... bloody awful but would gladly suffer it now.

Rose68 · 02/11/2018 16:09

Critter, I may be completely mad but here I am wishing I had sickness like yours. xxx

CritterTamer · 02/11/2018 16:37

Haha - I’m trying to feel grateful and not moan about it but it’s hard when your head is down the toilet and there’s vomit coming out of your nose! (I despise throwing up, always have done and will usually go to any lengths to avoid it so having no control over it is awful). So far the vomiting has only been first thing in the morning, after it’s over it’s just varying levels of nausea throughout the day so i am grateful for that at least.

Floofsquidge · 02/11/2018 16:56

Same @Rose68. I've only actually vomited once, at 10 weeks and makes me worry things aren't ok which I know is silly. Just a constant travelsicky feeling.

BooseysMom · 02/11/2018 18:25

Wow Weasel...tentative congrats!!

Chat.. I remember you mentioning your family. Sorry to hear about how unsupportive your mum is. Mine has passed away now but she came out with her fair share of ridiculous statements and she has made my brothers the same. Like today for e.g. when DS slipped and smashed his lip on a table so it bled.. he said I'd given him too much attention and he'll be spoilt!! ! So I'm supposed to ignore him then?! He hasn't even got kids! Its always those without kids who are the most judgmental. So yes I'm with you on the "my family" free Xmas after years of not being invited... the same as you.. i'm keeping it simple with no one I don't want there Grin

littlemimosa · 02/11/2018 20:21

Weasel - I can definitely see that line! Fingers crossed this is it for you!

Booseys - everyone has said what I was thinking but just wanted to add a big hug from me and a plea not to leave us! I’m feeling similar to you hun except I’m only 42 but getting major fluctuations in my cycles and some cycles where I don’t ovulate for weeks. It’s very depressing. Like you I’m trying to come to terms with my lot and work out how to stop wanting another baby.

I had my second acupuncture today and had the needles in my head and abdomen this time. He also does a special kind of a Chinese back massage afterwards. It’s a bit brutal but really gets the knots out. Hoping and praying this and the delicious herbs get me back on track.

Rose - try not to worry lovely. Not everyone get morning sickness. Only the really lucky ones 🤢

Critter- sounds like you’ve got it bad hun. Am sorry you feel so awful but am also happy for you Smile

BooseysMom · 02/11/2018 21:00

Poor you Critter.. I remember getting the feeling of wanting to be sick every time I brushed my teeth and would end up heaving. Hope it eases for you.

Little..thank you for your kind msg and hug Smile ..i think i've been on here from near the start (who started this thread anyway?!) so would feel sort of bereft without it. How can I ever leave now? I guess the only time i'd leave would be if it all the effort paid off. I will prob just be on here forever!!

shinyblackdog · 02/11/2018 21:24

Booseys, you can't leave - we would miss you.

Everything crossed for you Weasley, it looks like a good line to me.

Good luck for tomorrow Presh.

shinyblackdog · 02/11/2018 21:27

I have some news as well - I had a 20 week scan a couple of days ago and everything was normal! In my last but one pregnancy I had a bad 20 week scan resulting in a termination so I didn't want to say anything until I'd passed the same point this time and I have and it's fine! So relieved, feel I can relax and enjoy now.

weasledee · 02/11/2018 22:33

Great news shinyblack! You must have been so nervous before, I had a bad 12 week scan so I know so what how that feels...
So, did you find out what your having? I forgive me, I can't remember if you have any DC already?

Rose68 · 02/11/2018 23:00

Oh wow, that’s amazing news Shiny! Congratulations! You must be absolutely thrilled! I love the idea of getting to 20 weeks before telling anyone. xxx

CritterTamer · 02/11/2018 23:17

That’s fantastic news @Shinyblackdog! I’m so happy for you xxx

Chatbash72 · 02/11/2018 23:39

Ooh wow @shinyblackdog that's amazing news...

Letsdothis43 · 03/11/2018 03:04

@Boosey Please stay and glad to see you are here, you are and were lovely when I first joined the thread! I am also kicking myself and feeling low about leaving it so so late but trying to stay positive at the same time is a real headf**k!!

@littlemimosa I know what you mean about sudden fluctuations when everything has been bang on your whole life, I could've set my watch to my cycles each month up until May when one cycle was 40+ days with BFP's, next one was back to normal and a few after have been up a few days each time around 30 days when I was always a regular 28!

@critter sorry about the sickness hope it settles, I was smiling thinking of all the times I've cursed from over indulging and puking after a night out and now I long for it in another way!

@Shinyblackdo WOW!!!! congratulations so so happy for you!

@Mellon Hope youre doing well

And all the other lovely ladies and @Dinah thank you so much for that link!

I am now CD31 still no AF I don't want to test, paid for and ordered all my IVF meds earlier today as only received the prescription from the Clinic abroad on Thursday as it's a cycle abroad I may be out this cycle but I was procrastinating over every detail, I need to start taking my stims on CD3 and AF was sue a few days ago or imminently and they've told me they would be closed for Christmas over the date for EC and ET in December so that was going to be out so was/is going to be January if I don't get my medications in Time for this cycle if AF stays off until Sunday/Monday! My meds are due to arrive with me on Tuesday 6th.

In a way I don't mind waiting now until January as it gives me two months to get healthier and lose some weight and organise the trip over to the Czech Republic, but I know that if my cycle all lines up with meds arriving I will go out in Novemeber!

Watching all the ladies undergoing IVF with interest as well as you other lovely ladies!
