Hi lovelies!

A thread for the graduates of those who were waiting to TTC and are now actively trying, or very soon to be actively trying! Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or tagged the wrong people, please do join in or join later as necessary! Hoping we can continue to support and keep each other sane in this TTC madness!

Argh I just tried to post a photo and it didn't work!

Anyway I got home and decided to dig out the test from this morning and saw a v v v v faint second line on the cheapie test. So I've done another and I think there is a second line... but I can't post a damn pic!! I've got a FRER to take tomorrow morning but I'm trying not to get my hopes up...

NeverHadANickname · 30/10/2018 18:43

@jxtina86 that is so exciting. I'll keep everything crossed for you.

Jxtina86 · 30/10/2018 18:45

@NeverHadANickname thank you! I feel all weird like it's not happening but I swear there is a pale line. DH is out at the moment and half of me wants to tell him when he gets back but I also want the confirmation on the FRER before I do!

RandomUsernameHere · 30/10/2018 20:07

@Jxtina86 that is so exciting, let us know how you get on with the test in the morning!!
@NeverHadANickname congratulations on your marriage and glad to hear you had a great time!
@NoseringGirl sounds like you had a really helpful GP appointment, hope you get some answers soon.

NoseringGirl · 30/10/2018 20:38

That's so exciting @Jxtina86 hopefully you'll get confirmation on the FRER tomorrow morning. Good luck!

Jxtina86 · 31/10/2018 06:34

FRER was positive! Nice and clear second line! Can't quite believe it - told DH about the cheapie last night and then got up early doors with him to do a second test. Just keep staring at it in disbelief. Hoping that it sticks (my mind can't help but worry!) given that it is still early days. Also now in a tricky situation as still taking eye drops for my inflamed iris and supposed to continue them for the next 6 weeks- they've got steriods in them so will have to phone doctors today to let them know and find out if I can still take them!

mussie · 31/10/2018 07:36

Oh how did I not know this thread was here! Nice to see so many familiar names. Thanks for bumping it into Active since leaving the 'waiting to TTC' thread, I had two cycles of nothing, one BFP and then a miscarriage at 5+2. Taking one cycle off at the moment, didn't feel like diving straight back into it. AF due in the next few days, so will probably be back to it after that.

Congrats to those with BFPs already!!

BusyBee27 · 31/10/2018 08:15

Congrats @Jxtina, how many cycles of TTC was that in the end?

@mussie, sorry to hear about your loss Flowers

@Nosering, glad your GP was helpful, that’s half the battle! Hope the tests come back okay!

We’re onto cycle 7 now, but had a laparoscopy yesterday and I'm a bit sore, so not sure we’ll be doing much TTC for a week or two!!

Jxtina86 · 31/10/2018 08:41

@BusyBee27 thank you! It was my 3rd proper cycle after coming off the pill.

@mussie lovely to see you on here although very sorry to hear about your loss.

rollerskaterdata · 31/10/2018 09:09

Sorry ladies been MIA due to house move! I'll try catching up properly, just wanted to say @Jxtina86 huge congrats on your BFP, yaye!! Xx

NoseringGirl · 31/10/2018 09:49

@Jxtina86 congratulations! Fantastic news!

@mussie so sorry for your loss

@BusyBee27 hope you're managing to take it easy after the laparoscopy. I had one a few years ago and felt more tender than I expected!

@rollerskaterdata hope the move went well!

NeverHadANickname · 31/10/2018 12:09

@jxtina86 huge congratulations! So pleased for you.

@mussie I'm sorry for your loss. Glad you found the thread.

I think I'm due on a week tomorrow. This is only my first proper cycle with only having a few days of the last one where we were actually together. Is it just me or is sex sort of different now we are TTC? Sort of like there is an extra expectation. And honestly, every tiny little change through my cycle and I'm questioning if it usually happens; heavy dragging feeling, do I usually feel like that at this point? Sore boob, is that normal now? I'm going to have to start writing these things down as and when they happen to reference back or I'm going to drive myself crazy.

Jxtina86 · 01/11/2018 20:10

Thanks ladies! Still hasn't quite sunk in if I'm honest and just trying to take it day by day and see how we go - calculated that I'm only 4 weeks so super early stages and a long way to go!

RandomUsernameHere · 02/11/2018 16:03

Huge congratulations @Jxtina86 !

@mussie very sorry to hear of your loss

NoseringGirl · 03/11/2018 22:24

How's everyone doing?

All my bloods came back normal! Even my LH/FSH ratio was normal which it's never been (it was one of my first indicators of PCOS). Why have my periods just stopped though?!

BusyBee27 · 04/11/2018 09:23

@NoseringGirl, so glad to hear that your test results came back okay - frustrating that you have no explanation for delayed period though! Assume they checked to make doubly sure you’re not pregnant?! Are you feeling particularly stressed at the moment?

I’m doing okay I guess, still a bit sore from the laparoscopy though (took place on Tuesday - should I still be sore?!) and kind of sad that I got no answers about the pain I’ve been suffering Sad We’re onto cycle 7 now, but can’t have sex until I feel “normal” again, so looks like this one might be a write-off!

How’s everyone else doing? Smile

NoseringGirl · 04/11/2018 17:15

@BusyBee27 I felt tender for a while after my laparoscopy. Make sure you take it easy!
They didn't do any pregnancy tests but I've been doing tests every few days and my temps are low again so I'm confident I'm not pregnant. This cycle has caused me stress but I don't think that's the cause of the delay if that makes sense. I think it's that chemical I had in July, it's the only thing I can think of that's been different.

NeverHadANickname · 04/11/2018 22:47

That's me out this month. Was due on next Wednesday or Thursday but decided what I'd really like is to start today ☹ at least I hadn't had chance to start to hope (too much)

Hope you all had a good weekend.

NoseringGirl · 05/11/2018 08:55

Sorry to hear that @NeverHadANickname hope this cycle is the one for you!

BusyBee27 · 05/11/2018 14:17

Sorry to hear that @NeverHad, maybe treat yourself to something nice today? That might make you feel better! Fingers crossed this cycle will be a lucky one for you Flowers

@Nosering, thanks for the advice and will do my best - definitely still feeling really quite tired! Sorry to hear you still have no answers, but perhaps your body is taking a while to get back to normal after the chemical ... hopefully it will succeed in doing that soon and the next cycle will be a lucky one for you Smile

DH and I had a long chat over the weekend and have decided to be a bit more laidback about TTC for a while, so I’m going to take a break from MN whilst we do that and focus on my health and well-being for a while. I reckon I’ll be back after Christmas, so best of luck to all of you who are trying in the meantime and I’ll pop in to say hello in 2019! Smile

NeverHadANickname · 05/11/2018 15:17

Thanks @NoseringGirl.

@BusyBee27 I understand that completely. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, take care.

rollerskaterdata · 05/11/2018 19:38

Sorry ladies I've been rubbish keeping up!

@NeverHadANickname sorry AF got you ☹️ I understand what you mean about not having time to get your hopes up though, I really hope next month is your month x

@BusyBee27 that sounds sensible hun if you feel that's what you need, even pregnant I've taken breaks from MN during this first trimester as I've found it makes me more paranoid about something going wrong strangely enough. I hope you come back in 2019 telling us you're preggo!

@NoseringGirl glad to hear your test results were all normal, that's reassuring. Did they give any indication why your periods have stopped though?

@Jxtina86 how are you getting on hun? How far along are you now?

@Emiloux you've been a bit quiet hun, are you ok? Hope everything is well x

Oh and @PastaSauceHoarder come and join us! X

OP posts:
NoseringGirl · 05/11/2018 21:45

@BusyBee27 I can totally get that, I hope the break does you good! Take care

@rollerskaterdata not really! I do have PCOS so she did say it's probably related to that. I don't know if the chemical I had has effected the PCOS in some way? No idea if that's even a thing! Just weird that my LH/FSH ratio came back fine as it's usually completely off because of the PCOS.

I've had awful cramps today but still no bleeding. I really thought AF was going to finally arrive today but no such luck. Never wanted a period so much in my life!!

rollerskaterdata · 05/11/2018 21:52

@NoseringGirl that must be so frustrating!! Sorry if you've already answered / investigated this but is there any chance you could be pg? If not I really do hope AF turns up for you really really soon!
