Hi lovelies!

A thread for the graduates of those who were waiting to TTC and are now actively trying, or very soon to be actively trying! Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or tagged the wrong people, please do join in or join later as necessary! Hoping we can continue to support and keep each other sane in this TTC madness!

Hi everyone
@NeverHadANickname that's exciting about your wedding night! Hope it goes well for you.
@Pinkroseuk snap CD56 for me too just want AF to show now.

Pinkroseuk · 17/10/2018 20:53

Cycle buddies @RandomUsernameHere- yeah it's so frustrating isn't it?!
Do you know what's causing your irregular cycles?

RandomUsernameHere · 17/10/2018 21:23

@Pinkroseuk it's so frustrating! So I have only recently come off the pill (CD1 was my withdrawal bleed) but even before that had irregular cycles sometimes. Fingers crossed for us both!

rollerskaterdata · 18/10/2018 13:09

Hi everyone, thanks for resurrecting the thread! I'm moving next week so that's why I've been so quiet, it really is a mad house at the moment!

Sorry to hear about the annoyingly long cycles some of you are having, I hope you get AF (or better yet a BFP) soon!

@NeverHadANickname welcome, and congratulations for your wedding Friday! Super exciting and great timing re fertile days, have an amazing day x

As for me I had an early scan a few days ago because I'm too impatient and couldn't wait for the 12 week one! Turns out baby was measuring 5 days ahead which was a surprise, so I guess I'm 8 weeks today rather than 7+2! I'm feeling very sick and tired so looking forward to the end of my first trimester!

@NeverHad, congrats on the wedding and hope you had a lovely day! It was yesterday, right?! Smile

@Jxtina, thanks for that, made me feel better to know I’m not the only person whose cycles are so sensitive to travel and so on! AF arrived today after a 44-day cycle, bit sad that we’re onto cycle 7 of TTC now, but also relieved that super-long cycle is over at last! Has AF arrived for you yet @PinkRose?

BusyBee27 · 20/10/2018 13:11

Sorry @roller, only just seen your post - good luck with the move and hope you feel less sick soon!!

NoseringGirl · 21/10/2018 09:53

My stupidly long cycle still hasn't ended. CD71 now! I've had a temp rise though and am possibly 10DPO now. BFN this morning. Would be happy with AF though so this cycle would be over!

BusyBee27 · 21/10/2018 14:22

Sorry to hear that @NoseringGirl, it’s so irritating isn’t it?! Angry I hope you get a BFP or AF soon, so that you’re not in limbo any more Sad

NeverHadANickname · 21/10/2018 16:04

I got married! Thank you for the well wishes. Still away though so I'll be on when I'm back to chat properly.

I hope everyone's cycles resolve themselves soon, must be miserable when you just want an answer one way or the other.

RandomUsernameHere · 21/10/2018 20:29

Huge congratulations @NeverHadANickname hope you had a wonderful day x

NoseringGirl · 22/10/2018 11:26

Congratulations @NeverHadANickname!

@BusyBee27 it's so frustrating. Especially after thinking I was finally having regular cycles after years of them being all over the place.

BusyBee27 · 22/10/2018 11:40

@NoseringGirl, exactly the same story here - over the last 12 months my periods have been getting more and more regular and now they’re all over the place again! I think it’s the TTC to be honest, as I’m finding it all very stressful and really struggling to just “let it happen”. So much so that I think I may soon give up tracking everything but the first day of each period and see what happens ...

NoseringGirl · 22/10/2018 11:53

I think for me it's the chemical pregnancy in July that's messed with my hormones. I've certainly seen a lot of people on TTC boards say that their cycles have gone wonky while they've been TTC so I think you might be onto something. I do sometimes wonder if people are just paying closer attention when they're tracking and noticing the differences. Are you ovulating irregularly or do you think your cycles have become anovulatory?

BusyBee27 · 22/10/2018 18:42

Ah yes, that makes sense. I think for me I’m just not a regular ovulator ... in fact, I’m not sure I’m ovulating properly at all to be honest. I certainly never seem to get a positive OPK Sad But the doctors won’t listen to me because it hasn’t been 12 months of TTC yet! Urgh, sometimes I wish I were a man - everything baby related must be so much simpler from a man’s POV! Grin

NoseringGirl · 27/10/2018 09:59

@BusyBee27 I can understand that! It's so frustrating when the doctors won't listen. Have you just seen one GP? Might be worth trying another one as they should be able to give you the blood tests to check you're ovulating if your cycles have been irregular.

Still no AF here. CD77 now 😫

Jxtina86 · 28/10/2018 10:45

@NoseringGirl so sorry your long cycle is still going on. Hope it comes to a conclusion soon - still got fx that you get a BFP.

I'm on CD40 - my longest cycle so far since coming off the pill. AF has usually arrived around 8 or 9 dpo and I usually get spotting 2 days prior but zilch so far. I'm resisting testing until 14dpo as not sure if this is just my body finally having a normal LP or not.

NoseringGirl · 28/10/2018 15:07

@Jxtina86 thanks! I'm impressed by your restraint in not testing. I can never resist! Hope you get that BFP!

Jxtina86 · 28/10/2018 15:17

@NoseringGirl Trust me, I've come close to breaking out some cheapie tests! But this month has been a bit rough with an eye problem and last weekend we had to put one of our cats to sleep so I'm wondering if the delay in AF might also be my body reacting to all the stress. I'd rather just wait and see for a few more days rather than test and get a BFN - don't think I could take that right now!

RandomUsernameHere · 28/10/2018 16:36

Oh @Jxtina86 so sorry to hear about your DCat that is such sad news.
I hope you get some good news soon.

NoseringGirl · 28/10/2018 18:23

@Jxtina86 that makes sense, so sorry to hear about your cat. Hope you get some good news soon!

Jxtina86 · 28/10/2018 18:29

Thanks both. Yes, some good news would be very welcome right now! Fingers crossed but trying not get my hopes up too much - just taking each day as it comes!

NeverHadANickname · 29/10/2018 16:32

I'm back from my wedding/honeymoon 😊 hope you are all good. Nearly Halloween if nothing else 🎃

I'm sorry to hear people are still in the midst of long cycles, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all.

Also @Jxtina86 I'm so sorry to hear about your cat.

NoseringGirl · 29/10/2018 20:20

Hope you had a great time @NeverHadANickname!

@Jxtina86 how are you getting on today?

I went to my GP today about the absence of AF. She was really good! I was just expecting her to be like "you've got PCOS, what do you expect?" But she's going to run blood tests and talked about referring to the local PCOS expert (I think she said he was an endocrinologist but has a special interest in PCOS) and we talked about me going back on metformin which helped when we were TTC DS2. Going to see what the blood tests show first but it was all very positive.

NeverHadANickname · 29/10/2018 20:25

@NoseringGirl we had an amazing time, thank you. Glad to hear you had a positive response from the doctor, I'd try and make sure I saw the same one each time if you can because you know they are supportive.

Jxtina86 · 30/10/2018 17:08

@NoseringGirl still nothing for me. I caved and did a test this morning but got a BFN. It was a cheap internet one though so going to pick up a FRER on my way home and use it in a few days. I've got horrible lower back pain though - had it on Sunday too.

That's good about your GP - very encouraging that they didn't dismiss you as sometimes can be the case. Fx you get some answers soon!
