Hi lovelies!

A thread for the graduates of those who were waiting to TTC and are now actively trying, or very soon to be actively trying! Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or tagged the wrong people, please do join in or join later as necessary! Hoping we can continue to support and keep each other sane in this TTC madness!

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever oooh how exciting! Hope everything goes well at 12week scan part 2! And also your wedding, lots going on then! How exciting! Do you have everything ready? Will you be 12 weeks by your hen do? If so I'd struggle to keep it from everyone! I'm doing fine thanks, CD7 so started clear blue OPKs today. Can't wait for next fertile week to roll around so we can get cracking! I'm only on cycle 2 of trying but I can't wait to be pregnant again already!

@cupcakesandglitter if you're around hun how are you? Been thinking about you wondering how you're getting on!

Hi ladies can I Join

It’s been a while since I posted on one of these forums, I was taking the more relaxed approach of just letting things happen! I’m not getting impatient!

I’m 28, have a ds who is 11 months old (we want our dc close together). I had a hemiclenin February and we were excited before the loss so decided to start trying from then. My periods became really irregular after that which isn’t been ideal! We are now on cycle number 8!!! This month is the first since Feb af ha arrives on time so fingers crossed this month is the month!

I feel like if it’s not I may need to look into ovulation kits again, and possibly some sort of tablet or something to help things along. Anyone have any suggestions? X

@Mumma100 welcome! So sorry to hear of your loss 💐 I'm on my first month of using OPKs and like the fact that I can tangibly see when I'm fertile / ovulating rather than relying solely on my app. Hubby and I also take his and hers prenatal vitamins and have also started using preseed this month. I'm only on cycle 2 but feel like I want to throw everything I can at trying! Hoping you catch a sticky eggy soon 🤞

@rollerskaterdata thanks Hun it’s just frustrating, I know it sounds silly but It does make you think well why if something’s wrong and my first son was cruelly a miracle baby and I didn’t even realise!? I hope that doesn’t come across as insensitive because other in this Royo may have been trying longer hen menfor their first child, or have been diagnosed with problems. But I’m sure as other can appreciate having a child doesn’t stop the longing for more, and upset at loss and unsuccessful attempts. What is pre seed? Thanks, right back at you!!

@Mumma100 not at all, I completely understand how you feel because I feel it too. I didn't even try with DS, he was a happy surprise and as stupid as it may sound I was genuinely surprised I didn't fall pregnant last month straight away on my first cycle trying. It's only month 2 for me but I'm already worried there's something wrong and I won't ever get pregnant again. Which is absolutely ridiculous and most likely not true but emotions are so strong and when that doubt and worry creeps in it's hard to keep a rational head, especially when you want something so much. I feel so blessed to have my wonderful DS but like you said it doesn't stop that immense longing for another!

Preseed is a fertility friendly lubricant that mimics your EWCM and helps sperm swim. Other normal lubes hurt sperm so if using lube while DTD and TTC, something like preseed or another brand called conceive plus should be used to keep those swimmers swimming!

Hi folks, how’re things?!

I can definitely join you on the worry front, as am now onto cycle 6 of TTC our first ... had a lovely holiday (thinking I might be pregnant at last, due to various symptoms), got home and went to the loo and AF had arrived Sad You couldn’t write it, could you?! Sad x

@BusyBee27 hi! Glad you had a lovely holiday, it must have been so nice and relaxing! What did you get up to?

It's hard this TTC isn't it? I know it's perfectly normal for healthy, fertile couples to take up to a year to conceive but it doesn't make it any easier does it? I just can't fathom that if you're DTD at the right times how can sperm and egg not meet to make a baby?! On top of that my body is playing games with me. Second month in a row of pretty much non existent EWCM during fertile week despite normally getting it every month, and I'm on my 5th day of a flashing high fertility smiley face on my clearblue advanced digital OPK with no sign of a peak yet. I'm getting fed up and I'm only on cycle 2, I'm just so annoyed that my cycles were perfect before and now that I'm TTC they've gone to shite lol!

@rollerskaterdata thanks lovely, glad I’m not the only one!!! My first few months I turned into a crazy woman during the tww and was testing every day from 7dpo. I really though it et pregnant straight away too. I know why you mean I’ve gone from thinking you need to use condoms any time you have sex because you can get pregnant any time, to now realising it’s only certain times and actually pretty tricky to get those fuckers to find each other and actually make a baby 😂x

Report
rollerskaterdata · 09/09/2018 17:40

@Mumma100 😂😂 exactly that! Why is it so hard for them to meet and make a baby?! Finally got my positive OPK this afternoon, was so nice to see that static smiley face after 5 days of flashing smileys! BD is well and truly underway for the next 3 days and then the TWW starts all over again 🙄 I refuse to symptom spot this month! I had every symptom under the sun last month...and then wasn't pregnant anyway 😅

Hey @roller, how’s the end of the fertile period/beginning of the TWW going?!

Sorry for slow reply, am away for work this week (in a different part of Southern Europe this time!). Holiday was lovely thanks, did lots of strolling on the beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying the local cuisine - just what the doctor ordered Grin

How’re you doing @Mumma? I’m actually thinking about “giving up” on TTC for a while (as in, not tracking and just DTD regularly throughout the month), as I just find it all very stressful and I’m half convinced that’s why it’s not happening for us! What do you guys think? I have long cycles though, so it can be difficult to keep DTD for nearly 30 days in a row Blush

@BusyBee27 hi! I'm 2dpo and already bored of this tww lol! I was so excited and optimistic when I got my positive OPK on Sunday afternoon and now I'm bored again lol! 🤦‍♀️ so glad to hear you enjoyed your hols, it really does make a huge difference to one's wellbeing when you get a break every now and then!

Re giving up TTC - I think it's a great idea personally. I'm only on cycle 2 and losing my sanity at a surprisingly fast pace. If I don't get a BFP this cycle I was going to stop charting and just have sex when I bloody feel like it, put it right to the back of my mind and wait for it to happen! As it stands I only went through 10 OPK sticks from my clearblue advanced digital pack of 20 this month so I'll have to use them up next cycle before I drop off grid - they were bloody expensive and I hate wasting money! 😂 I think if you regularly DTD anyway it should be ok? We normally DTD every 3, sometimes 4 days x

How is everyone today?
I think that's right about just DTD regularly. Apparently sperm can survive for up to 6 or 7 days so there's a good chance of it happening without trying to time things too much.
Having said that, I'm getting really impatient already. Don't even know if I've ov'd yet Sad

Hi ladies - was just scrolling through the conception board and saw this and then saw I had been tagged! Must have missed the notification 🤦🏼‍♀️ lovely to see familiar faces here! 4dpo here... but I just noticed on fertility friend that it suggests testing a week after my period is due... not sure I can hold out for that long! RE dtd - we tried to do it every other day this cycle to cover ourselves. I tried opks but I don't know if I'm taking them at the right time or not. It was only when my temp soared over the weekend and stayed up that I realised I had ovulated!

Report
rollerskaterdata · 13/09/2018 19:09

Hi @Jxtina86 you're 2 days ahead of me I think, I'm 3dpo (according to OPKs). It's great that you can temp though, it's more accurate I think? My sleep is shit and all over the place so deffo wouldn't work for me! Kudos to you if you can wait until AF due or late to test! I have no such self control and will be testing at 12dpo which is a big deal for me - in the past I've tested even earlier! Here's hoping September is our month!

@RandomUsernameHere feeling really impatient today, I soooo want this tww to be over! Have you been tracking your cycle in any way? X

OP posts:
Report
RandomUsernameHere · 13/09/2018 19:50

@rollerskaterdata no I haven't been tracking as I've only just stopped the pill so haven't even had a proper period yet. I think we will try for at least a few months before looking into OPKs etc. I've never used them before as was lucky enough not to need them last time x

Report
rollerskaterdata · 14/09/2018 19:15

@RandomUsernameHere ah ok, here's hoping your cycles settle soon. I didn't need OPKs last time round either but thought I'd give them a go this time to see what all the fuss is about 😂

Hi ladies,

I hope you don’t mind me joining you?

Currently ttc#1 cycle 4 8dpo

This TWW is absolutely horrendous! Every month I say I’m not going to get uptight.. I just can’t help it! Had some cramping and lower back ache today that I’ve never had before I only usually get cramps the day AF shows her face.

Please help keep me sane!

@Emiloux hi! I'm also 8dpo today so we're tww twins! When is AF due and when are you testing? AF is due for me on 24/25th and I'm testing Friday at 11dpo. I'm only on cycle 2 and said I wouldn't get as obsessed during tww as last month...that lasted 2 days LOL!

@rollarskaterdata we are definite twins! I’m also due AF 24th/25th! Had a positive OPK on 10th & 11th so hoping we caught it this time! I’m hoping to test Saturday. With a FR test. I totally get it, every month I vow not to google every twinge and symptom.. yet here I am again!
Is it just me or is testing just a terrifying concept 🙈!

@Rollerskaterdata oh I know! Have you had any symptoms? I’m not even buying tests until Friday! Otherwise I know I’ll cave! Every month I get so down, I’ve never done a test before but it’s getting harder to wait that I’m going to this month!

Hello lovelies! I've just found this thread too (must've missed the notification from the tag!) it's great to see you all.

I'm on cycle 4 now and the 2nd since my chemical. I was convinced it was anovulatory but then FF suddenly put me at 10DPO this morning. I wasn't convinced but did a test anyway. Only had a blue dye and I got a line but worried it's an evap. DH got me some FRERs so going to try that in the morning. Such a weird cycle!
