Hi lovelies!

A thread for the graduates of those who were waiting to TTC and are now actively trying, or very soon to be actively trying! Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or tagged the wrong people, please do join in or join later as necessary! Hoping we can continue to support and keep each other sane in this TTC madness!

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever yep that's exactly what it feels like, great description! Ah you must feel so relieved to have finished the first trimester, I've just started it and got 9 long weeks to go! Thinking of getting an early scan around 7/8 weeks to help break up the time and check little bean is ok x

@NoseringGirl I don't know much about temping but have heard stress can delay ovulation. That must be frustrating, I know it's easier said than done reducing your stress levels! I hope you ovulate soon if you definitely haven't already x

@Emiloux how long is your cycle hun? My EDD is 4th June! I'm going to test again for the last time tomorrow, day AF would've been due and then step away from the tests and just believe I'm pregnant!

@BusyBee27 I've been reading up on it too today, I think it's called relaxin? Sure doesn't feel relaxing though! 😁😬

@rollerskaterdata I think I calculated a little wrong! But still only make it mid May 2019, my cycle is usually 28-29 days max like clock work! Did a CBD this morning and got 2-3 weeks, so I may have conceived a little earlier? I’m a bit confused! I’m going to test again mid week as I’m on funny shifts this week, although I’ll be dying to test until then! X

rollerskaterdata · 24/09/2018 07:59

@Emiloux don't worry too much, at your dating scan they'll give you a firm EDD and just use that from then on. I did my last two tests today on the day AF would've been due, still got 'pregnant' on CBD and a line as strong as the control on FRER, so think I'm going to step away from the tests, leave it at that and just believe it - my period isn't coming and I'm actually pregnant! 😲

Didn't log on over the weekend and just caught up - huge congrats @Emiloux! Lovely to see another BFP!

Thanks @rollerskaterdata for the pre seed tips - think we'll give that a go!

Jxtina86 · 24/09/2018 17:20

And thanks for the info about opks! Eek I'm so behind catching up on messages on here!

Emiloux · 24/09/2018 19:04

Good luck with the preseed @jxtina86 and thank you! @Rollerskaterdata, I have been to the GP today is I woke up with terrible pain in my left side but all is well! Just my body doing it’s thing. She made my due date 30th May 2019 seemed mad hearing it! I am doing one last test Wednesday and then I’m done with peeing on sticks and keeping everything crossed for this baby!

rollerskaterdata · 24/09/2018 22:12

@Emiloux I'm sorry to hear that hun, and so glad you got checked out and everything is well. Our bodies go through so much during pregnancy, it's no wonder it's filled with aches and pains! Keep taking care of yourself x

Congratulations @rollerskaterdata and @Emiloux :)
I have had a couple weeks off we been on holiday and have been pretty down so just taken a break from mumsnet.
Did test last Wednesday before we went away (AF due last Sunday) and it was negative and I haven't lost any significant weight. My next appointment has come for 8th November at the hospital but I'm pretty sure they will just send me away till I have lost the weight...
hope everyone else has been getting along better - just catching up xx

rollerskaterdata · 04/10/2018 22:10

Dropped off the radar a bit there! I'm moving house in the next few weeks so super busy at the moment.

@Pinkroseuk thanks hun! How are you getting on? I know shifting weight can be difficult, keep on at it and don't give up, any weight lost is a loss (at least that's what I tell myself!)

How is everyone else doing? X

Jxtina86 · 05/10/2018 19:53

@rollerskaterdata hope the house move goes well!

Think we're out of ttc this month- I've been diagnosed with iritis (inflammed iris) so been off work all week and on a lovely concoction of steriod drops and dilation drops! Not exactly sexy lol.

NoseringGirl · 07/10/2018 20:41

@rollerskaterdata hope the move goes well! We moved last December and I'm still trying to unpack 😳 we're renovating as well though.

@Jxtina86 that sounds painful, hope it gets better soon!

I finally ovulated on CD52! I'm now 6DPO according to FF. I don't think we got the timing right this month though so not very hopeful.

rollerskaterdata · 07/10/2018 22:30

@Jxtina86 @NoseringGirl it's exciting but nerve wracking at the same time! There's just so much to do and I feel so rotten I'm struggling to get anything done, poor DH is going to have to do everything. Sorry to hear about your iritis @Jxtina86 doesn't sound pleasant at all, I hope it clears up soon! And glad you finally o'vd @NoseringGirl, you're nearly halfway through the tww already, here's hoping for a BFP this month! You never know, it only takes once! 😉

Pinkroseuk · 09/10/2018 21:13

Hope the house move goes well @rollerskaterdata.
We're finally unpacked 17 months later!

NoseringGirl · 09/10/2018 21:31

@Pinkroseuk quite comforting to know it took 17 months. Seems like a reasonable benchmark and means I've got about 7 months before I need to finish mine 🤣

FF took away my crosshairs again. Here's a photo of my chart. This cycle can do one! No idea what's going on.

Pinkroseuk · 09/10/2018 21:36

@NoseringGirl yeah we only packed the main things and then decorated before emptying everybody and making a general mess!!

I'm on CD45 again and lost no significant weight so have a feeling I will get discharged at the next appointment :( so fed up -
A colleague has gone on adoption leave today and I'm really starting to consider it but don't know if I'm giving up too early or not :/

Jxtina86 · 09/10/2018 21:54

@NoseringGirl @Pinkroseuk we stuck the unopened boxes in the loft... problem (sort of!) solved! 😉

No chart advice I'm afraid - I've given up temping this month as not sleeping well with my eye and can't read anything first thing either. Although the good news is I'm on some new drops and they seem to be working. On the downside I had to have a blood test for the first time ever and worked myself into such a state, I actually cried. So embarrassed! This does not bode well if I do actually get pregnant 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

BusyBee27 · 16/10/2018 23:09

How’re you all getting along? The thread has gone a bit quiet, so thought I’d try to get it going again!

Update from me: now on CD 41, no sign of AF and multiple BFNs, so no idea what’s going on - cycles have been closer to 33 days recently, but it’s not unheard of for me to have a 40-day cycle and I was poorly earlier in the month and have been travelling a lot for work too, so maybe period will come soon? Also have to have a laparoscopy at the end of the month to investigate suspected Endo, so pooping myself about that a bit Blush

@Nosering, did you ever come to the end of your super-long cycle, or is it still going?!

NeverHadANickname · 17/10/2018 13:32

Hi everyone. I was on the other thread but have had a mad few weeks moving countries and I am finally here so TTC now! So exciting. It is mad though because I got here on a Friday and my period was due on the Tuesday but still in my mind I was hoping it wouldn't come 🙈 even only after having sex for a few days. Anyway, it was a day late but come it did. So this is our first proper month trying, I googled yesterday and my first fertile day of this month is Friday and also happens to be my wedding day 😊.

I'll have a read of the thread now and catch up with where everyone is. I hope you are all well.

NeverHadANickname · 17/10/2018 13:50

Congratulations to all of you that are pregnant! So happy to see that.

Jxtina86 · 17/10/2018 15:33

@BusyBee27 pre-pill my cycle would get messed up from travel. I did 3 months in the US and didn't have a period till I got back...! Fingers crossed for a BFP for you though (rather than AF!)

@NeverHadANickname good timing with your wedding and fertile day! Hope all goes well for you on Friday!

I have just got a positive opk! It's my first month using them and I was giving up hope as to whether they worked or if I was doing them wrong.

Pinkroseuk · 17/10/2018 17:06

Hi everyone -
Lovely to catch up-
No change here - no sign AF I'm on CD 56.
Lost 2kg in weight so that's not going well either but trying to stay positive!!
It's nearly Christmas so that's keeping me going as it is my favourite time of the year :)

NeverHadANickname · 17/10/2018 19:30

Thank you @Jxtina86 if I wasn't so sceptical I'd think it was our month but not many people could be that lucky.

@Pinkroseuk that's frustrating about your cycle, can't imagine how annoying. It's good to have Christmas to focus on 😊 I love it

Pinkroseuk · 17/10/2018 19:55

Thanks @NeverHadANickname - it is incredibly annoying as don't even feel we're really trying properly - my mums invited us to hers this Christmas as she says we will want to be home with a new baby the following Xmas- nothing like a bit of pressure on us lol!

NeverHadANickname · 17/10/2018 19:57

@Pinkroseuk oh God definitely! People will just be happy for us all I'm sure and are excited too but some of the things people come out with.

Pinkroseuk · 17/10/2018 19:59

@NeverHadANickname yes I'm sure they will! Just having to keep quiet about it around them as much as possible!
