Hi lovelies!

A thread for the graduates of those who were waiting to TTC and are now actively trying, or very soon to be actively trying! Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or tagged the wrong people, please do join in or join later as necessary! Hoping we can continue to support and keep each other sane in this TTC madness!

I can imagine @dottydally but I guess that time off cannot have comer any quicker!! I'm glad your midwife is on board - I totally get you on being freaked at the hospital because I think it's quite overwhelming!! I'm sure when the day comes you'll be less nervous and more eager to meet baby dotty!! And excited to find out what they are 😭🥰 our scan is on Thursday - my gut is telling me it's a boy (I think because of how much I always thought I'd be pregnant with a girl first, I feel like it's Sod's law) but as long as they're healthy I don't mind - I just am too impatient to wait until birth, honestly kudos to you because I wish I could surprise myself 😂😂 everyone that knows I'm pregnant has told me about how convinced they are that I'm having a boy too so I'd like to know to be able to end the guessing 😂

Zero judgement here for thinking about Christmas 😂 I keep imagining next year with my tree up and a cuddly little baby 😭

cupcakesandglitter · 15/10/2019 19:34

So it turns out I couldn't wait 😂 had a day off with DH and thought I'd call the clinic to see if they had any cancellations today... they did! I've never cried so much in my life, it's really hit me now - I'm having a little girl!! The best feeling in the world 🥰🎀

@cupcakesandglitter don't worry I'm terrible at replying too! 😂 it's going super fast! She's so small and squishy and gorgeous I just want her to stay this age! And huge congratulations, a little girl!! 😊🥳

@dottydally not weird at all, I totally miss being pregnant and my pregnancy was much harder this time round compared to my first pregnancy! It's such a miracle, if kids weren't so bloody expensive I'd be having a third in a heartbeat!

@mussi how're you getting on? Xx e

rollerskaterdata · 08/11/2019 08:47

Hello lovelies, just wondering how everyone is getting on?

OP posts:
cupcakesandglitter · 08/11/2019 12:24

Hey @rollerskaterdata 😊 I'm good thanks - 19weeks tomorrow! Can't wait to see her again, pretty sure I'm feeling her properly move now too which is exciting 😊 how're you? How's baby roller?

dottydally · 08/11/2019 14:58

@rollerskaterdata just over a week until my due date now so we are all on baby watch! I feel pretty rubbish so I'm hoping for an early arrival, but also aware that it's my first so knowing my luck I'll be going for induction at 40+12 Sad

Exciting @cupcakesandglitter! The 20's are the best weeks - enjoy them!

cupcakesandglitter · 08/11/2019 23:40

@Jelliestogether @NeverHadANickname @mussie @PastaSauceHoarder @RandomUsernameHere @AssumeItWasSomethingClever @Pinkroseuk @Jxtina86 how are you all getting on?! ❤️

Oh my god @dottydally how exciting (and quick!!) sorry to hear you're not feeling great, hopefully baby is here super soon! How're you feeling about labour? And Thankyou, I definitely will do! It's nice to actually be able to move 😂

NeverHadANickname · 12/11/2019 11:42

Hi everyone. @cupcakesandglitter thanks for the tag, I had fallen off the radar a bit.

So I had my baby boy 7 weeks ago ❤ he is just so perfect and I can not believe he is mine. I'm going to have a read of everyone's posts now but thought I'd do a quick update first.

cupcakesandglitter · 13/11/2019 11:48

Ahh @NeverHadANickname massive congratulations!! So happy for you!! ❤️

rollerskaterdata · 14/11/2019 21:26

Wow, time has really flown everyone!

@cupcakesandglitter I can't believe you're nearly halfway through already! Enjoy the honeymoon period of pregnancy, and let us know how you get on at your 20 week scan!

@dottydally wow you are so nearly there! I'm sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish, is it just because of how far along you are now? Not long to go now, hang in there 😊

@NeverHadANickname congratulations!!! How are you feeling? What's his name? How was your birth? (if you don't mind sharing). Sorry for the 21 Qs, I just can't believe you had baby already!

AFM, baby roller and I are well, she's going to be 6 months old in less than 2 weeks which means solids! She's growing too quickly for my liking, I have a baby and I'm broody 🤣

dottydally · 14/11/2019 22:00

Congratulations @NeverHadANickname! I hope everything is going well and you're soaking up all the newborn cuddles Thanks

@rollerskaterdata I can't believe mini roller is 6 months! Weaning looks fun (albeit messy).. do you think you'll have another or are you done??

@cupcakesandglitter I swing between being super excited and slightly terrified. I know it's going to be uncomfortable but I just want to get going!

39+4 here.. nothing like a bit of clock watching Hmm I don't know whether to ask for an induction at 41 weeks rather than 42 as I'm finding myself quite anxious about something going wrong. I'm seeing the midwife next week so I'll speak to her, assuming baby doesn't arrive before then of course which it won't.

cupcakesandglitter · 19/11/2019 13:57

20w scan went great, baby cupcakes looks absolutely fine 🥰

@dottydally when are you seeing the midwife? Have you had any progression? 😁

Omg @rollerskaterdata 6 months 😅 I can't believe she'll be on solids too!! How lovely 🥰

dottydally · 21/11/2019 04:40

Quick update from me.. baby Dotty arrived safely at 00:47 yesterday, a beautiful little boy! Weighing in at 9lb 2oz he is a real chunk. My total recorded labour was 3 hours and 24 minutes so it all happened quickly. This meant that there was no time for any decent drugs no matter how much I pleaded but did mean I got my wish of delivering in the midwife unit. For the record though, gas and air isn't all it's cracked up to be!!

He was slightly sideways when he came out so I needed a couple of stitches, but all superficial and were just done by the midwife while Daddy had cuddles! We got lucky and they were super quiet - just me in the MLU and one lady on the delivery suite so they set up a double bed for us in the MLU rather than transferring me to the postnatal ward, which meant we all got to stay together. He's feeding like a champ so we were discharged at 10:30 yesterday morning.

I'm running on empty but my heart is full to bursting.

xx

cupcakesandglitter · 21/11/2019 09:48

Ahhh @dottydally massive congratulations, that's fantastic! Well done, I hope you dad and baby are settling in well, how lovely that he's finally here 🥰

rollerskaterdata · 25/11/2019 23:35

@dottydally AAAHHHHHH congratulations hun!! I'm so happy for you, what a healthy weight and such a fast labour! Did he arrive right around your due date? What's his name? I still can't believe we were waiting to TTC and posting on that thread and now we have our babies! Oh and DH and I have had a long talk, weighed up the pros and cons and think we're done having babies now so looks like mini roller will be our last!

@cupcakesandglitter so glad your 20w scan went well, you're over half way!

OP posts:
dottydally · 28/11/2019 21:28

Thank you @cupcakesandglitter! He's 8 days old today and I can't imagine my life without him. I feel like he's been with us forever and we are both so in love with him.

@rollerskaterdata he arrived at 40+3 (just!) so not massively overdue. It scares me to think what he could have weighed at 40+12 if I'd made it that far! But as they say, baby comes when it is ready and he was certainly ready! His name is George Smile

When I came onto the thread I saw it was started in August last year. What a difference a year and a bit makes!

How do you feel about being done?

mussie · 01/12/2019 19:10

Sorry guys, I get no notifications when being tagged, must have a fiddle with my settings! I am 16 weeks pregnant, got my scan in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to find out what we're having! I think it's a girl 👧🏻

Congrats all on the new babies!

cupcakesandglitter · 11/12/2019 14:28

Sorry I don't get notifications for this thread, it's so annoying!!

@dottydally how beautiful 🥺 I can't wait to have that feeling. Glad it's all going well, how're you feeling?

Ahh @mussie congrats! Glad it's all going well - are you finding out at the 20w scan or before? X

dottydally · 26/01/2020 12:08

@cupcakesandglitter @mussie @rollerskaterdata @NeverHadANickname how are we all?! I feel like I've dropped off the radar a bit since baby G was born - it's been a whirlwind!

rollerskaterdata · 26/01/2020 17:10

@dottydally I'm good! Glad you posted. How is baby G? Mini roller is 8 months old now I cannot believe it!! I have serious baby fever already 😱 DH is adamant he doesn't want anymore though! ☹️

OP posts:
NeverHadANickname · 27/01/2020 13:58

Aw lots of pregnancies and babies, congratulations to everyone. I'm sorry, I keep forgetting to come back to this thread.

@rollerskaterdata everything is great, thank you. You asked a while ago but his name is Ethan. Labour was less than 5 hours and very intense from the very start. I ideally didn't want any pain relief which was good because I was 9.5cm by the time I got to hospital! It was all pretty amazing overall. Very overwhelming at the time but really it couldn't have gone any better. No tears, breastfeeding went well and still going strong. 4 months old now 😶 where does the time go.

I always said I wanted 3 kids but 2 would be fine. Now I have one though it's as though I just couldn't imagine anyone else being my baby, does that make any sense? Will it change over time? I am more than happy with the one I have but not sure if its what I want long term.

rollerskaterdata · 28/01/2020 15:49

@NeverHadANickname I'm so glad you had such a positive experience! Time really does fly doesn't it?! I know EXACTLY what you mean about not imagining another baby, I was the same with DS and was really worried even during my pregnancy that I wouldn't love DD as much as him, even though my DH assured me I would. He was right, I had absolutely nothing to fear - I am totally obsessed with my DD 😂 and love DS even more when I see what an amazing big brother he is!! Hence my baby fever! 🤣🤣

OP posts:
cupcakesandglitter · 15/02/2020 12:35

Oh god, no notifications again for this thread for some reason!!

Oh my god @rollerskaterdata eight months!! How is she doing?! How're you doing? Do you feel like you're "done"? Xx

Awww @NeverHadANickname congratulations on Baby Ethan and sounds like you had a lovely Labour too! X

Nothing much to report from me - I'm 33 weeks today which has FLOWN by, I've got GD so looking like I'll be induced early (which I don't mind) and Mini Cupcakes keeps switching between head down and breech so she's keeping me on my toes!! How are we all? X

NeverHadANickname · 18/02/2020 12:36

@cupcakesandglitter glad you are doing well. Shame about the GD but not long to go now. Everything is great here, 5 month on Saturday, he is growing and changing so fast.
