Hi lovelies!

A thread for the graduates of those who were waiting to TTC and are now actively trying, or very soon to be actively trying! Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or tagged the wrong people, please do join in or join later as necessary! Hoping we can continue to support and keep each other sane in this TTC madness!

@rollerskaterdata oh you are making me so excited! I was reading an AMA thread the other day about a lady who had her baby around 23 weeks and the baby survived and that made it so real, I am 25 weeks today. I have my fourth scan coming up next week and a cloth nappy class to see about using those.

cupcakesandglitter · 21/06/2019 12:11

Eeeeek @mussie congratulations!!!!

@rollerskaterdata four weeks?! Bloody hell thats gone fast! Xxx

Jelliestogether · 22/06/2019 09:09

@rollerskaterdata aw enjoy all the snuggles whilst they're still small!! My pregnancy has been pretty straight forward thanks! Now 32 weeks, just having growth scans as measuring fine but on the smaller side.
@mussie I've known people to have bleeds all through pregnancy with no issues so fingers crossed for you!!
@NeverHadANickname wow that's gone quickly! I'd love to use cloth nappies once I'm out of the newborn moment! Would love to hear how you get on at the class!! I'm excited you didnt find out! Lots of people do but I find it adds to the excitement!!

rollerskaterdata · 22/06/2019 18:41

Glad to hear you're all well 😊 and I will be using cloth nappies once we're out of the newborn stage, I have a whole stash washed, prepped and waiting! Looking forward to using them, @NeverHadANickname will you let us know the main things you learn at your class? Would be interested to pick up any pointers I may have missed x

NeverHadANickname · 22/06/2019 18:45

@Jelliestogether @rollerskaterdata yes absolutely. We are not entirely sure what it'll entail but hoping it'll show us the different types available and the benefits of each. I will report back. The class is on Wednesday night.

mussie · 22/06/2019 21:17

I spoke too soon, started miscarrying yesterday. Have a follow up hCG tomorrow to confirm it's back to negative. Getting a referral to the Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic as I've now had 3 losses, even though it's not 3 miscarriages (2mc, 1 ectopic). They said that wouldn't matter and they'd put the referral through anyway. So I'll get a letter in a couple of months I think! You never know, a bean might stick by then 🤷🏼‍♀️

rollerskaterdata · 23/06/2019 00:53

@mussie I'm so sorry to hear it's happened again ☹️ it's great they're taking this seriously though and putting the referral through, hopefully they'll get to the cause of this and you're right, in the meantime you may well get a sticky bean. You sound positive and your attitude is great, I'm rooting for you x

cupcakesandglitter · 23/06/2019 13:38

@mussie so sorry 💐 glad the referral is being done ASAP though, fingers crossed you get another BFP/ answers soon ❤️

mussie · 23/06/2019 20:51

@cupcakesandglitter @rollerskaterdata thanks guys. You know if I ever do get past 6 weeks, I don't think I'll be able to believe it for a good few months at least! It's starting to seem a little bit impossible that I could get a positive pregnancy test and it could turn into a baby 😅 well, we shall see!

NeverHadANickname · 24/06/2019 15:10

I'm so sorry to hear that @mussie.

rollerskaterdata · 12/07/2019 07:52

We've been a bit quiet, how is everyone? X

@rollerskaterdata hi! I'm 22 weeks now and finally growing a proper bump. We had our 20 week scan recently, all looked good and we decided not to find out so are officially team yellow to the end! I can feel baby move a lot now and DP has also managed a couple of times which is lovely. Baby is head down and my placenta really high/at the back so we are crossing everything that continues.

How are you & Ava doing?

cupcakesandglitter · 14/07/2019 18:13

Hey @rollerskaterdata same old over here, still no BFP 😂 how're you doing? X

Awww @dottydally do you have an inkling as to what you're having? X

dottydally · 14/07/2019 19:13

@cupcakesandglitter lovely to see you! That's not good.. how long has it been?

Honestly, not really. The only thing is that I seem to instinctively want to refer to the baby as she/her. Not sure if there's anything behind that or if it's just that I had imagined myself with a daughter when I was younger. DP is convinced it's a boy, as was I until about 18 weeks when I just started to naturally go to call it a girl. I haven't said anything but if it is a girl, you all heard it first!

cupcakesandglitter · 14/07/2019 19:26

Thanks @dottydally can't join in on the pregnancy chat so took a little step back that's all 😊 I'm on cycle 13 now, still no progression really. Oooooh okay!! That'll be interesting to see, let's see if you have a girl!! Xx

dottydally · 14/07/2019 19:56

@cupcakesandglitter Are you still seeing how things go or have you been to see the doctor? You're always welcome for non pregnancy chit chat! How are things in general?

I will obviously be delighted either way but it will be interesting!

cupcakesandglitter · 14/07/2019 20:01

@dottydally oh of course! Would be funny to see your DHs face if you have a girl though 😂 just seeing how it goes for the time being, DH had a SA which came back not so great, he had another one last week so just waiting for the results. We've both got some weight to lose and so we're just trying to take it a little easier before we decide we're ready to go to the doctors - other than that everything is great!! We've been focusing on sorting the garden and slowly sorting little niggly bits in the house really x

dottydally · 14/07/2019 20:26

@cupcakesandglitter between us, I think he's nervous if it's a girl - he said he knows what he was like as a teenage boy! It's just the unknown, but I'll be the same with a boyBlush

Pottering around and getting things done is so satisfying. What kinds of thing have you been doing?

cupcakesandglitter · 14/07/2019 23:34

@dottydally oh bless him, I get that, I'm sure it'll be so lovely when you find out ❤️ we've dug up and completely changed the garden, redecorated the hallway, made plans for the new kitchen/living room (getting work done next year to change the layout) and slowly started redecorating our bedroom too! Xx

rollerskaterdata · 16/07/2019 15:24

@dottydally wow time flies, 22 weeks already! How are you feeling generally, have your symptoms subsided and turned into that second trimester bloom? (mine never did😂). It's so exciting you stayed team yellow, well done for having the willpower. I would've loved to but just way too impatient! I'm glad your scan went well, have you done any shopping? Mini roller and I are great thank you, she's 7 weeks now and smiling which is so wonderful 😍 her naps are terrible though, she fights them like mad and won't drop off without the boob in her mouth so I feel a lot like a cow 😂

@cupcakesandglitter let us know how the second lot of tests go, I hope they're better. You sound really positive which is great, I'm sure it'll happen. I think I read somewhere that 98% of couples conceive within 2 years so you've still got lots of time yet. Am I mad to also be redecorating with a newborn?! It's our first house so I'm new to it all but very very excited to be able to do it! Currently ripping off ugly old wallpaper and plan to go paint shopping tomorrow. We'll be repainting the whole house pretty much give or take a few rooms. We'll leave the garden to next year I think 😂

cupcakesandglitter · 19/07/2019 12:03

Oh wow seven weeks!! @rollerskaterdata how fast, how lovely for you, glad she's doing well ❤️ definitely mad to be doing it but tbh I love decorating and once I know what I want to do to decorate, I HAVE to do it. Hope it's going well!! X

cupcakesandglitter · 31/07/2019 09:44

Hi ladies, just popped on to let you all know I got my BFP on Saturday!! I was in hospital on Monday as my GP suspected ectopic, however bloods showed that I'm super early, had more bloods today to see if they're doubling, and hopefully a scan next week!! Hope you're all well xxxx

dottydally · 31/07/2019 10:35

Congratulations @cupcakesandglitter! Good luck!

@rollerskaterdata I actually feel quite good! My symptoms lifted around the 13 week mark and I've not suffered since. I'm all bump (and boobs!) and at almost 25 weeks I am 15lb up on my pre pregnancy weight so not too bad. We have a crib and a few clothes but not everything by far! We did just order our pram though (which feels early but I was worried there may be a waitBlush). I keep thinking I have lots of time so am just plodding along and getting things as and when they are on offer Grin

Did you do hypnobirthing by any chance?? I am trying to figure out if the class is worth it but no one has done it recently!

So pleased mini roller is doing well - how did you both cope in the heat?!

rollerskaterdata · 31/07/2019 20:25

@cupcakesandglitter ahhhhhh congratulations!! I'm so happy for you, I knew it would happen soon for you! Any idea how far along you are?

@dottydally I'm glad you're doing well and feeling well too! I started buying things before I even had my 20 week scan Grin (it was around the time of the Christmas sales so I couldn't resist!) but kept the receipts just in case! At 25 weeks you're now viable so I think a lot of people start buying around this time.
I didn't do hypnobirthing as I don't know much about it. As usual though my birth plan went out of the window! It never hurts to have a plan in place though. And the heat was awful! She was ok with it but we had more night time wake ups than normal as I think she was more thirsty understandably!
Have you thought of any names yet?

Thankyou @dottydally @rollerskaterdata I'm just over four weeks! I got my BFP on sat but have had bloods on Monday and today and I'm pretty early but I'm still super excited, I can finally join you all 😭❤️
